Disrespectful, screaming at me over the phone, speaking in a rude verbally abusive way on for different occasions in person. Think of your worst Contractor nightmare multiply it by 1000 and that's what the past two weeks were like. There were several pieces of work they were supposed to do, but they did not. For example, there is a section of the bathroom that they simply didn't paint because in their words, "it was a different color "from the rest of the bathroom. But the written agreement said to paint the bathroom, not only paint the bathroom with the main color or the color you feel like painting. They also cost me quite a bit of extra money because verbally they said they could do certain pieces of work, but then when they went ahead and did them, they charged me extra, which I had no choice to pay since they already completed the work. By far, the absolute worst contractor experience I have ever had. They were so harsh, disrespectful, and inappropriate that I will also be reporting them to Angie's list and the Better Business Bureau. read more

Rufino Painting- NO SHOW & NO CALL! Looking to paint all the exterior house trim plus the entire garage, figured it's not a small job. Decided to use Yelp service to find the right contractor for the job, was really hoping Yelp would get their companies properly vetted based on their internal reviews but unfortunately that's not the case. I was contacted by multiple painting contractors and picked couple to set up estimates. After a brief conversion via Yelp text msgs app I set up my estimate with Rufino Painting at 8:30am hoping I can get all this done fairly quickly prior to work and getting the kids ready in the morning. Here I am on the date of the estimate no show and no call, I decided to contact Rufino Painting via Yelp text app in hopes of Raul maybe is just running late but unfortunately no response. You always hear stories about contractors never showing up on time and being late on a job site unfortunately today is no different just another careless contractor. I guess I should be happy they're shown their true colors on day one instead messing things up once on the job. I wouldn't recommend this contractor to my enemy! Raul and his team were great. They recently completed plaster patching, repairing and primering on a 2 flat on the NW side of the city. Prior to hiring Rufino Painting, I had gotten multiple estimates and they were split down the middle as far as if the plaster should be repaired, if drywall should go over it or if it should be gutted and replaced with drywall. After reviewing all of the estimates, I decided to work with Raul because I got the impression he was hardworking, meticulous and most importantly someone who would work with me. I own a 2 flat and we experienced some water damage to the upstairs (rental unit) bedroom windows. After paying tuck pointers to handle the exterior brick work repairs a few weeks previous I decided to tackle the interior plaster repair and paintwork myself, while my tenants were going to be out of town for a week. It only took about an hour to realize that the damage was more extensive than I had originally thought, and that I was well out of my depth so far as a DIY project. That's when I contacted Raul. Fantastic all around. We called Raul to demo failed plaster in a bedroom and put up drywall. He started problem-solving right off the bat and ended up being able to save the plaster. They also painted the room and new trim (installed by a colleague they recommended). First talked to him on a Wednesday; they were on the job Friday, and the whole room was done within a week. I've hired lots of them and even the good ones often do something that I'm not happy about. Raul and his crew, on the other hand, are the best workers I've ever had the pleasure of hiring. They estimated a five day job to paint just about everything in our house. On Monday they arrived, as promised, at seven AM, and worked until 5. Each day when they left they cleaned up, leaving the house spotless. They were meticulous and on the couple of occasions that I asked for some retouching they fixed it immediately. It was like that every single day. They finished up a day earlier than planned and I'm thrilled with how everything looks.
