I used Rugged Coffee as the caterer for the mobile coffee cart at my wedding. Skyler and his team were the best. I absolutely loved the coffee tasting we had before the wedding, it was like a private in depth coffee education course with an expert barista! I learned so much about coffee and the process of bean and brewing and of course the coffee was fantastic. He sampled for us the Orange Creamsicle and the Honey lavender, both of which we had available at the wedding. I loved the flavored lattes, hot lattes, chai, cold brew and hot coffee we had and their professionalism. They handled our crowd of 200 for 2 hours with ease and everyone had more than enough coffee! The first time I encountered the Rugged Coffee mobile cart was at a wedding that I was working. It was a Sunday morning wedding and they were a HUGE hit. Their line was as popping as the bars. From their amazing customer service to their fun and creative coffee drinks, I was impressed all the way around. So much so that when I got engaged two years later I knew I had to have them at my wedding. Of course, then the pandemic hit and I had to reschedule my initial wedding date. Skyler was so awesome to work with from the moment I reached out. He was quick to respond to all of my emails and made it easy to change my date. Before we wrote any of our reviews for our wedding vendors we wanted to chat with some of our friends and family to hear their perspectives so they could be included in our review. When I tell you that everyone's favorite part of our wedding was SKYLER AND RUGGED COFFEE I am not lying. We almost went with a different coffee vendor but I am so glad we did not! While other coffee vendors left us feeling unheard or anxious, Skyler calmed every single nerve. We worked closely together to figure out the best plan and to ensure he felt safe (and our guests) due to COVID 19 concerns. Skyler was so fun to work with. We loved doing a private coffee tasting with him prior to our event and really getting to hear his heart his business and his coffee. Not only is his coffee amazing, but Skyler KILLED IT on the bar all by himself! All of our friends are coffee lovers and I thought for sure we'd overwhelm him but he kept up with all the orders and had time to chat and make a pretty great impression on all of our guests. The Rugged Coffee Catering cart was at a church concert over the weekend. Great setup and Skyler makes a great cup of coffee. I asked just for a regular coffee with no room. As Skyler filled my cup, it ran out just near the top. I got about 90% of the cup filled which is pretty much a full cup. To my surprise, Skyler said it was on the house because he wasn't able to give me a full cup and he didn't want me to wait. Class act indeed. While speaking with him, a line was forming and I had to cut our conversation short, so with no prompting from Skyler, I asked if he had a Yelp page. He said he did, so I told him I'd review his stand for his kindness and generosity. He actually makes a great cup of coffee and I would recommend you try it. So technically, yes, I did get a freebie, but this review was initiated solely by me and I really did like the coffee very much. Thank you. read more
