I'm thankful for the team at the Trumbull RMA. As other Yelpers have mentioned for other RMAs, I…read morenever felt like a number. Sometimes the waiting room during monitoring hours got packed, but there was always a place to sit. Sometimes a procedure would start late, but given all the different types of situations the patients are in, things can come up. I sincerely appreciate the care of Dr. Williams and the other doctors I encountered at this location. Linda, my assigned nurse, was always thorough and patient; I also appreciate Jodi's care and follow-ups. The phlebotomists at this location were always friendly, as well, like Audrey and Iris. Such a pleasant practice, and I'd recommend reaching out to them if you're in need.

I just completed my egg freezing procedure with RMA-CT. The experience was stressful and…read moreeye-opening. A friend recommended the facility to me and expressed that she was very happy with her outcome. Below, I list the positives and negatives of my experience. Positives: The phlebotomists at the Trumbull location were amazing. They handled me with care and ease and always had a great attitude and a smile on their faces. I was very lucky to have a friend who had previously completed the process and could support me along the way. She provided me with information for her nurse (by the name of Brigette Alicea, located at the Norwalk, CT location) who helped me when I could not locate my nurse. She was instrumental in assisting me with the finance portion of the process by getting me connected with a financial representative. The doctors (they rotated) were kind and provided information of my progress during each visit. The facilities were clean and Covid-19 conscious. They made me feel safe and secure. The staff verified my personal information often to ensure safety and security measures were being met. During the retrieval process the doctors and medical professionals provided me with detailed information about the procedure and next steps. The medial professionals were kind and checked in frequently once I was in the recovery room. A doctor called to check in on me after the retrieval to ensure that I was feeling ok. Negatives: There is no privacy when getting your blood drawn. The office is extremely busy and is a revolving door of patients. The communication is lacking. I was assigned a financial representative, patient navigator and nurse who I rarely heard from. I was provided misinformation on the finance portion, the patient navigator never contacted me once I started the process and nurse reached out a few times to verify if I had any questions and to advise of blood work results. The nurse was unavailable on the weekends or at night, so I had no one to answer my questions during a crucial time (For example, I had difficulty filling a syringe with medication and needed to rely on a friend to walk me through it). The assigned nurse doesn't demonstrate how to mix medication. You are provided with a series of videos that you must rely on. The videos aren't very helpful. I utilized You-tube for a more thorough tutorial (Nurse Michelle is excellent and provided step by step directions). Medication was ordered for ten days instead of twelve. I ran out of meds before the end of the process and the nurse never checked in to verify whether or not I was not running low. This caused a huge amount of stress as you are unable to mis a dose of medication and must stay on track. I was lucky in that I had a friend who recommended this facility and advised me to contact her nurse for next steps. That nurse by the name of Brigette was extremely helpful and advised that I could pick up an emergency dose from my local office. The facility should assign a place in the waiting area for patients once they leave the recovery room, to ensure they have enough room for other patients after completing a procedure. If you are looking for a warm and fuzzy facility or hand holding this is not the place for you. RMA-CT is a business and they operate as such.

My reprieve from frustration, disappointment and feeling like a number concluded when I made my first phone call to the Yale Fertility Center of Westport. Christine communicated to me from the get go that I would receive a more personal touch and proved that at my first appointment. Perhaps even earlier that that when I think back. You see my appointment was made for the following week, yet I received a phone call from Dr. Seifer on a Saturday afternoon. He called to introduce himself and ask questions for our upcoming appointment in preparation of my complicated history. Dr. Seifer has a wealth of knowledge and experience and is thorough when explaining the process, procedures and expected outcomes. He has a sweet demeanor and is the upmost professional. Patricia O'Neill, Nurse Practioner is a dream come true. She is detail oriented and is understanding of how overwhelming the process can be. She stands by her words when she says she is always available to answer questions and gets the process moving. The office staff and nursing staff was just as amazing - from getting insurance information completed and approved to having blood work done without the feel of the needle! As a RN, I know how important it is to have good, quality care. Regardless of if we become pregnant or not, it doesn't matter. What matters to me is that the person I choose to take care of me makes me feel like they care. And that, that is exactly how I felt when I got off the phone with Dr. Seifer that Saturday afternoon. Happily, I continued to feel that way every time I interact with the staff in the comfort of the Westport office.

It's been over a week and we have yet to hear from her office regarding any clinical information despite numerous attempts to gain more clarity and information. Not only have I been scrambling to coordinate my Moms care, Dr Murray flat out refuses to return our calls despite the urgency of this situation. Her staff has informed us that she "does not speak to patients". Her cavalier attitude speaks volumes about her professionalism and character. This is clearly not a physician that cares about her patients. Save your time, and look elsewhere if you are seeking professional and compassionate care.

I explained that I am moving to fairfield and I need to establish new care since I am 15 weeks pregnant and I cant see my old provider due to distance - I was told that it doesn't matter and I need to find someone else. I am extremely upset by this experience, this is very poor customer service and patient care. It's unfair that if i was 6 weeks pregnant, I could be seen but since I'm 15 weeks, it is now not possible. I asked to speak to a supervisor and I was told that they dont have one. *patient care is clearly not a priority to this practice*.

The warm welcome meant a lot when going through my first round of IVF. I had completed 4 rounds of IUI with another fertility specialist and was feeling down about my chances of ever getting pregnant. I can honestly say that YFC's positivity and professionalism was critical to my success. After 1 round of IVF I am now 10 weeks pregnant! The Westport facility provides patients' access to Yale medical care closer to home, yet I still benefited from the renowned embryology lab at the Yale Fertility Center in New Haven. The Westport office is beautiful and I never have to wait long to be seen. I would not waste any time in setting up an appointment if you are having fertility issues. When I told my PT that I wanted to include acupuncture in the recovery process, he was highly skeptical it would help at all. I found Dr. Bo and she told me it would take a certain number of sessions to bring down the inflammation and improve circulation in the foot and ankle area. Not only was she able to do that, it happened more quickly than she predicted, with noticeable results happening after the first 2 sessions. Even the PT was impressed. I'm grateful to have found her. Not only is she good from a results standpoint, she's also a ray of sunshine, eager to help and be a positive influence for healing.
