I mean, who needs a personal chef when you have fried catfish sizzling away right before your eyes? After I've made my seafood sacrifices to the food gods, I waddle over to the prepared foods section, where those buttery mashed potatoes and green beans await. I swear, those mashed potatoes came from someones grandma versus the store kitchen. Oh, and the prices? They're so good I almost feel guilty! It's like finding money in my winter coat pockets (compared to Indy). I leave feeling like I've hit the grocery jackpot! I can't help but visit them over and over when I'm on the road. It's practically a ritual at this point! And don't even get me started on the stuff I couldn't find in Indy (Marsh closed). There isn't anything fancy about this place. It's old, but kept clean. Counting down the days until I can get my next fix.

Right up front we have to say this was a very clean operation ... a nice thing in the age of Coronavirus. They also provided wipes and sanitizer as you entered. They open very early for those that are watching when and where they go - nice. This store had a nice big parking lot, a roomy store, and carried all the usual things you have come to expect at a Jewel. They also get kudos for having most things stocked and restocked so you don't face a number of empty shelves. We'll come back and shop here again.

Either there is some excuse about time or people called off. When interacting with the employees they are always talking as if they aren't grateful to have a job. I go to other stores where the employees are welcoming and, are fast on service. Not all customers have the time to burn while spending money with an establishment. I run my own company and would never be rude to a customer ever. I would never make up excuses or, act like I don't know what any part of my work consists of ever. Making customers wait is how you lose business. Being rude and making excuses drives customers away. Acting like you don't know the truth about everything with your job shows that you are lying. An employee lying, being rude or, putting a customer's time last in any business is an extension of that business. It truly reflects poorly with the way Jewel-Osco has been operating quite some time now. Last time I checked the advertisement say "Your neighborhood friendly Jewel-Osco". Far from it! Get it together before I contact the corporate offices about these issues. Also everyone who comes into the store is a customer regardless of why they are there. Even the delivery drivers are customers and are extensions of customers.

The cashier, Marlene, barked at me to step up. When I said to her there was someone in the way, she frowned as if I had done something wrong. I remarked that she was being very rude and poor customer service. She ignored me. I asked her name and she responded it was in the receipt and turned away I frequently shop there and also at Meijer across the street. My choice of store is based on quality, price and good service.
