Does the resort require you to wear wristbands? I booked a room for 2 adults and now I have my 15yr old daughter with me as well. I also saw resort fee cost, but I booked through Priceline and don't think o was charged that through them.

Yes, you have to pay a Resort fee and must wear a bracelet so you will have to pay for the third person and just so you know if you book directly with Rumfish, it's usually cheaper than for Expedia I Priceline, because they always forget to include… Read more

Do the gulf view rooms have a balcony or is it just a sliding glass door? I cannot find any good quality pictures of each type room and that worries me. If you cant find good photos of each room description, what are they hiding.

We just recently stayed there in a Gulf room and it had a balcony. The photos aren't really hiding… Read more

Liam and Tanner at the front desk or so kind and helpful. They were great to talk to and extremely friendly! The hotel itself was nice, and my room was very spacious. It even had an old-fashioned fridge and couches in front of the TV that were movie styled. It was a very fun, happy, vibe that was 50s retro inspired. If only the weather was warmer during my visit, I felt like I really could've maximized my time at the hotel. They really made great use of their space with Life-size games, mini golf, and not to mention the beach was just steps away. I will definitely have to come back when the weather is warmer!!

Appliances are an adorable retro theme. The decor takes you back to a time where life was simpler and fills your senses with nostalgia. I couldn't help but smile while in the lobby that was decked out with the look and feel of times past. Big shout out to the very nice and professional gals in the lobby Cherish and Eva. Great customer service If you love vintage cars - this is your go to place - I promise. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We had a very minor issue with our keycard but it was immediately resolved literally within 5 minutes. Oh, and did I mention happy hour??? FREE beer and wine is never a bad thing! Lastly, we were able to meet one of the owners who was truly was happy to have us as his guest. They've thought of everything So, if you are ever in the area check them out.

The views are beautiful, and the location is right on the beach. There are plenty of spaces in the lobby for working, plenty of meeting rooms (or ball rooms if you're there for a formal event), and areas to just relax or work. The resort provides live music various days of the week as well. I will say that I was surprised about the lack of dining options. There is a lobby bar (which doesn't open until 3pm), and just two restaurant options. Maritana is only open a few days a week and not open until 5:30pm, although the lobby bar does serve a few small plates. The Society Table has a bar within their restaurant (Rowe Bar I believe), and I experienced both as they both have different menus. The lobby bar menu is small but great; the Wagyu Sliders and charcuterie board were both delicious. The wine list is fairly extensive as well. I dined at the society table for lunch on the day that I left and I got the Gumbo with jalapeño cornbread. This was very delicious; I do feel there should've been more than a few pieces of chopped up shrimp. My waitress was wonderful though and very kind as well as the hostess. For the days we were provided food by the resort for the work conference, I was very impressed! All of the breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were incredibly extensive, fresh, and delicious. The servers were very attentive and helpful. The room service menu although overpriced and included a $5 "delivery charge," is very extensive and tasty. For example, an omelet with toast (small salad included with the omelette), was almost $60 including tip. That being said, it was the best omelette I've ever had. The guest services for room service and the cleaners were incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Evan! Do note that this is a cashless resort. There are a few shops on the first floor for souvenirs, basic necessities for traveling, and then an adorable little shop/café with ice cream, coffee, wine, snacks, and drinks. On to the room! I really enjoyed my room. I feel like for one person or even two, it's a pretty spacious room. The bed was very comfortable as well as pillows. They cleaned my room each day, and provided new towels. The bathroom was clean and a decent size for one person. All of the events that the hotel put on for our conference were outstanding. We had a welcome party and a beach party, and I was incredibly impressed. The food was delicious, the staff incredibly attentive and kind, and the music wonderful! The Don CeSar was the perfect place for our conference and I would highly recommend a company conference there. Between the delicious food, impeccable service, beautiful resort, and location right on the beach, I would recommend this spot for an event, quick getaway, or staycation.

Came back at 5pm and room still not ready but was comped $50 for the delay. Room was missing towels so we found the cleaning crew in hall to request towels. They didn't speak English but allowed us to help ourselves to the towel cart. Friendly employees always giving a smile but the entire place seemed understaffed. Room's floors were dirty as white socks revealed. Otherwise room was modern and remodeled. The resort is showing its age but all things considered, all of St. Pete's hotels and restaurants are showing their age. The bar on site had friendly staff, served great drinks and the food was of high quality which was an unexpected suprise. The food and drink is why I'm giving a 3 rating otherwise it would be a 2 for the hotel only.

We were directed to check in at a neighboring building that appeared to be part of the resort. Upon arrival, the check-in area was locked, requiring us to return to the main property for assistance. Once checked in, we were disappointed to find that the room looked nothing like the photos advertised online. In addition, there was significant construction noise throughout our stay, which impacted the overall experience. Several amenities we were looking forward to were also unavailable. Harry's Pool Bar was closed, and at one point the fire alarm sounded, requiring guests to evacuate and wait outside until the situation was resolved. Following the incident, the elevators were out of service, forcing us to carry our luggage up and down six flights of stairs. Overall, the experience did not meet the expectations set by the online listing. We felt the accommodations were inaccurately represented, and prospective guests should carefully verify exactly which property and room type they are booking before making a reservation.
