I am writing this review as I am an hour into my stay. Normally I would wait until I leave but I'm hoping to help everyone not make the same mistake I apparently did. This started when I showed up a half hour before checkin. I have two young children eager to go. I approached the desk and was informed my room was not ready. Understandable due to being 30 mins early, but never had this happen anywhere else. The gentleman informs us that they will call us when ready. Before we finish with him we are met by a woman who has something to do with timeshares. Needless to say we will not be buying one here unless this journey takes a big u-turn. Anyways after speaking to her for 10 minutes the room is still not ready. At this time my kids are annoyed. We decide to walk around to kill the time. An hour passes still no call for our room. Now my kids are hungry. We found a pizza joint in one of the resort buildings. As we order drinks we are informed that the fountain drinks have the option of a $15 souvenir cup (each refill is $5) or a $4 small cup with unlimited free refills while at the pizza shop. I thought that's odd but I don't know I'm not employed here. We choose the $4 ones. I go up to get refills the first time and the girl who took our order does it. I go up the next time and the girl looks at me dumbfounded and offers to fill my cup with water or charge me $4 again for more. I explain to her what I was told by her fellow employee and she kindly gave me the refills. She explained that the $4 drinks do not get free refills but the $15 souvenir cups do get free refills. That's right completely opposite of what the first girl told us. We move on from here and finished eating. Or pizza was actually the only good thing so far in the 1.5 hours I've been here. From there we walk back to the front desk. It's bow been 2 hours and no call. We ask about our room and we are told again it's not ready. At this point I should have asked them to cancel it all. Instead I allow the lady to get her manager. When they come out from the back the manager tells us our room wasn't ready but she has a different room for us. She then offers a late checkout that I decline because we will leave early to make some time with two young kids. She then decides she can remove our resort fee for today and not charge us for parking. (That's great but she probably could have done a little more.) Especially after we get to our room that she moved us into that had a miserable balcony view looking into a ripped apart construction site hotel. At this point though I'm just ready to be in a room and watch the UFC fights tonight so I don't bring it back up. Then I turn on the tv and there is no option to connect anything or connect anything to do so. (I found this out after chatting with a bot and being placed in waiting for nearly 45 minutes with no response.) Now I'm pissed. What type of "resort" doesn't have that option? At this point I am sitting here watching on my iPad typing you this book. My advice on this one is simple, avoid this outdated, no one caring, piss poor excuse of a resort. On top of this the lamp in the room is flickering on, off, on, off, continuously. No one has touched it. DAY 2: Go to leave for breakfast and the elevator is broken. They only have one. Now we are stuck lugging two toddlers up and down 4 floors. I have to ask myself, can this get any worse? It can, ice machine is broke too. Day 3: Elevator is still broken. read more

The room did not match what is shown in pictures online. It smelled moldy, the faucets and tub were moldy. There are stains on the couch and outside table. It just looked overall dingy and outdated. We didn't stay and checked the next. The only positive thing is it's on the beach. They really need to renovate and sanitize that place. read more

Sprawling resort located on beautiful St. Pete Beach. Rum Fish seems to be the older of the properties within this resort. Upon arrival, the A/C in the lobby seemed to not be working, the lobby itself was really more a pass-through than somewhere to sit and lounge, the elevator in our building was not working so i had to carry baggage up 4 flights of stairs, room was very large, but smelled of mildew..etc..etc. Go for the location, but temper your expectation with the hotel itself. read more

We've been longtime guests of RumFish Beach Resort and the other TradeWinds properties. We're locals, have stayed at these resorts many times, eaten at their restaurants, and have always associated the TradeWinds name with a high standard of guest service. Unfortunately, a recent experience has seriously changed our perception. During our most recent stay for a friend's birthday, we were approached in the RumFish lobby by a woman who represented herself as being affiliated with the resort and was selling vacation packages. Since we already had an upcoming trip planned to Orlando, we were interested. We asked very specific questions before purchasing, including which Orlando property was included and what would be required of us regarding the vacation club presentation/tour. Based on the answers we were given--and our trust in the TradeWinds brand--we purchased the package. When we called today to actually book the vacation, we discovered that the things we specifically confirmed before paying were not accurate. The Orlando location we specifically asked about was apparently never part of the package. There were also significant discrepancies regarding the length and requirements of the vacation club presentation. Most concerning, the salesperson had actually scratched out portions of the paperwork and initialed the changes when selling us the package. When I explained this to the representative on the phone, I was told they did not know why she would have done that, that she was not permitted to make those changes, and that the changes would not be honored. That is extremely troubling. A guest should be able to reasonably trust someone selling vacation packages inside a resort lobby, particularly when that person presents themselves as affiliated with the property. Allowing this type of sales activity immediately next to the check-in area gives it an additional level of credibility and implied legitimacy. What made the situation even more disappointing was my attempt to notify RumFish about what happened. I wanted management to know that someone selling packages at their property and claiming an affiliation with them was making representations that the vacation company itself says cannot be honored. Instead of treating this as a serious guest concern, I felt largely dismissed when I asked to speak with management and explained the situation. We have spent a lot of time and money at TradeWinds properties over the years because we trusted the brand. Regardless of whether this salesperson is technically employed by TradeWinds or by a third-party vacation club company, TradeWinds is allowing these sales to take place inside its resort, directly next to its check-in area. Guests are naturally going to associate those representatives with the resort. I hope management takes a serious look at these sales practices and how these packages are being represented to guests. What should have been a great birthday stay and an easy decision to return has instead left longtime local customers questioning whether we can continue to trust the experience associated with the TradeWinds name. read more

What a wonderful trip we had and loved this resort. Stayed in a newly renovated room and it was beautiful. The beds are soooo comfortable and I fell right to sleep each night. Love the amenities in the kitchen with everything you need to use the kitchenette for meals. Resort has a huge beach access and lots of little places to hide and enjoy the sunshine. read more

(Fri-mon) It was $1200 total and I feel like that was waaaay too much for the state of this resort. It is run down and doesn't live up to that price point. I had an emergency and had to leave the property. I was looking for a partial refund and they said since I used the beach and took a shower they couldn't even give me a partial refund. I tried talking to everyone and they just wouldn't understand. Not only that they said they can refund the parking charge. But they charged me again. Hotel Resort Review - Premium Prices, Disappointing Execution My family and I chose to stay at this St. Pete Beach resort over the July 4th holiday weekend because we wanted convenient access to the festivities and beach activities. We fully expected large crowds and understood that premium holiday pricing came with the experience. However, when paying exceptionally high resort rates, guests should be able to rely on the amenities and services being advertised and charged for. One of the most significant issues involved parking. The resort charged a parking fee, yet there were no parking spaces available for paying guests on the holiday. To his credit, the General Manager personally stepped in and resolved the issue by giving up his own parking space so that I could park. While I greatly appreciated his customer service and willingness to help, guests should never be put in that position. If parking is being sold as an amenity, spaces should be reserved and protected for resort guests rather than being oversold or made available to the general public. Another major disappointment involved the beach lounge chairs. We were informed that if we wanted chairs, we would need to be in line by 8:00 a.m. Even then, availability was not guaranteed. Despite paying for the chairs, they were assigned to other guests, and we did not have access to the chairs we paid for until approximately 3:30 p.m. As a result, we lost most of the day without access to an amenity that had already been purchased. If guests are required to pay for lounge chairs, there should be a reservation system that guarantees availability. The resort also promoted beachfront fireworks for the July 4th celebration. Based on the marketing and information provided, we expected a dedicated fireworks display at or directly adjacent to the property. Instead, the actual display took place at a sister property located several hundred yards south of our resort. While we were able to view fireworks from the beach, the experience was not what we believed had been represented. We expected front-row access to a featured resort event, not a distant view of activities taking place elsewhere. There were also several room-related issues that negatively affected our stay. Upon checking into our room, we found that the in-room safe was locked and unusable. In addition, the bathroom door required repair and did not function properly. Both issues were reported immediately after our arrival. Unfortunately, we never received any follow-up communication, nor were the problems resolved during our stay. A simple update or effort to address the concerns would have demonstrated a commitment to guest satisfaction. Dining was another area where the resort fell short. The room service food options were limited and generally not very appealing. A few additional inconveniences also impacted the overall experience. Ice machines were not conveniently located or easily accessible. Additionally, the washer and dryer facilities require guests to download a mobile application in order to make payments. While some guests may appreciate a technology-based solution, others may find it inconvenient or unnecessary to download an app simply to do laundry while on vacation. What stands out most is the contrast between the high rates charged and the level of service delivered. The resort's location is excellent, and I commend the General Manager for personally assisting with the parking issue. However, the property appears to be overselling amenities during peak periods and failing to adequately manage guest expectations or resolve reported issues. For a holiday weekend stay at premium resort pricing, guests should not have to compete for paid amenities, struggle to find parking, encounter unresolved room maintenance problems, or discover that advertised experiences are not located at the property itself. With better communication, stronger operational management, and improved follow-through on guest concerns, this resort could provide a much better experience. Got here later than scheduled (11:30 pm), besides the $330 resort fee found out they now charge $25 PER NIGHT just to park in their parking lot!! We got to our room and the AC wasn't working, got another room but was no longer a suite. We usually stay elsewhere but chose to return here this year (been here several times in past years). Honestly, there are many better choices along this beach to stay so good luck if you choose Rumfish as it is run down and not worth the price!. Ps: Most of the staff don't act like they want to even work here and are clueless! First off my husband and I book what we this is gonna be this magnificent resort called trade winds island grand with no many things for our kids to do the beach is right off the resort perfect right, wrong we land my husband get a massage can't wait to see you pre check in at the rum fish. Wait what did they book us at another resort like what's going on. Whatever we get there and the rum is so rundown looking around we ask why did you which us they are clueless we don't know maybe it's because you booked with your Airbnb and you change your reservation but you have to call get a refund and pay again well that didn't happen so we were like well let's try it out mind you we have 5 kids with us ready to vacation. So we get ours rooms and they are so nasty the kids are trying to put there stuff away there was water all over the floor so I walk down the nasty stairs to the front desk because they won't answer the phone and tell them the rooms flooded and they give us another room than we get in my daughter comes in saying her air conditioner is broken so I walk back down because again no one answers the phone and them know they fix but again the next morning Iam back back downstairs needing assistance. Then you go to the beach and no one tells you that you have to check out or reserve any chairs at the front desk when checking in that's a shit show my bathtub every night we took a shower was full of water then we get home then they start charging me. My card 400 800 $199. I call him they tell me it's a smokers fee when none of us even smoke. that we were smoking in there for one day for one hour when my daughter was making breakfast on the stove that was provided which was broken also and still refused to give me the other charges that are on my card and Jessica Moore. The manager telling me that I should be grateful that she refunded $400 of a $1500 charge that I'm still disputing I would never recommend beautiful beach too expensive for an outdated resort. First, I thought the staff this resort was AWESOME to everyone. We spent 4 days here for a wedding, and had several rooms booked. Anytime we encountered a staff member,they were so friendly,helpful and welcoming. The resort offered a lot of guest activities including water aerobics,yoga,a gym and things for kids. Our suite had two bedrooms,1with a queen bed and the other with 2 queen beds. There were 2 full bathrooms, a kitchen,dining room with a balcony and a living room with a balcony. We also had a full oceanfront room. There was construction going on while we there from the last hurricane but it didn't interfere with the resort guests. The resort is dated and could use a facelift, but it wasn't terribly dated. Unfortunately, I didn't have any time to take pictures because I was too busy with the wedding. read more

Visited in March 2025 after hurricane. It is a dated resort and needs a renovation but it was not rundown. We rented room 7801 the penthouse. Only one elevator working due to hurricane and elevator took a while but stairs quick. Room was as expected. Disappointed no dishwasher or in room laundry. Blanket had rips in it and not very soft but overall comfortable sleeping environment. Bathroom very clean. TVs old and small. They scrambled last day and couldn't watch tv. Air filters in room black and need a changing. Pools quite small for size of resort but two of them. Only one on the beach. Didn't appreciate adults sitting in the pool drinking and people playing football in such a small pool. It made it unwelcoming. Much more of a bar atmosphere for adults than kid friendly vibe. Poolside drinks okay but all syrup and too sweet. Nothing healthy. Food was okay but not enough seafood or healthily options and no kids menu. Hammocks had tears in them and almost unusable. No bathrooms available outside and ones inside unusable due to hurricane. Beach was best part. Cabanas included and beach pristine. Beach was great with cabanas included. Wish could have had second cabana for our daughter. Some beach service for drinks and food but spotty. Enjoyed beach games and slide. No bingo or other games at RumFish but some at island grand. Hairbraiding and hennna at island grand was nice RumFish lacked enough free activities for kids. Magician was a no show. So only thing we did was touching marine life with was nice. Need more poolside games for kids and families. Daughter liked marshmallow roasting. Music was horrible oldies and way too loud. They need more modern music. They played music until 10 pm and this disturbed my rest. Cafe in lobby for coffee and pastries took 30 mins every morning due to line and only one person working. They need to hire a 2nd person. Good location 5 min from grocery and many restaurants in the area. Overall I wouldn't return due to the party atmosphere, small crowded pool, low quality food and drinks and lack of free activities and engagement for the kids. read more

Security is a big problem at Runfish. Do not say there if you value your safety and property. I was a police officer for 35 years in Denver, Colorado, and I know something about security. We stayed there from September 10, 2025, through September 19, 2025. Our door was left propped open or not closed all the way for two straight days (9/17 and 9/18) while we were sightseeing for at least 8 hours each day until after dark. Anyone could have walked in and waited until we got home or just taken what they wanted (many of you will remember the sexual assault on 60s singer and actress Connie Francis due to lax security during her stay at another hotel). Reported to security, nothing done. We were told humans make mistakes. I won't bore you with all the other details, but here are a few: 1. The rooms are not as shown. $470 a night got us a room that was nothing like it was pictured. Very small with no walk-in shower. The Sirata just down the street had nicer, newly remodeled rooms for $300 a night. 2. Live music shaking our floor EVERY NIGHT WE WERE THERE until 10pm. Reported, but it was never even turned down. 3. Very slow WiFi. 4. Other reviews reported black mold. 5. One positive: Our room was cleaned very well every day. We love St. Pete Beach. We have stayed there at least once every year for the last 10 years. Try the Hilton or The Beach House Suites for a much better value and secure stay. read more

Yeah, this place is a solid three stars. From what we saw there's nothing fancy about this place. Entrance to your room is from the balcony walkway. So this means you can hear anybody walking up and down by your door. Parking is a little bit of a challenge as well. For what we paid, our room was small and there was no microwave in the room. We did go check out the pool and jacuzzi. We did have an issue trying to find where pool towels were located. You actually have to leave the pool area and walk around the outside of the building to where they have them in a shed (had to go to the front desk to find where they were located). We did relax in the jacuzzi for a bit. The area closes at 11pm and a worker did come scoot us away shortly after 11pm. Located on the beach, this place carries a hefty fee to stay. When you check in, they give you a wristband so that you can use the facilities next-door. We didn't try the facilities, nor did we try the restaurant in front that goes by the same name. For the price, this place wasn't worth it to me. Looking around the local area, everything on the water was fairly pricey. Local friends said this place has blown up in prices over the last few years. There is a variety of restaurants and bars in the local area. This is definitely the tourist side of the St Petersburg area. read more

Dear Mr. Johnson, I am writing to formally express my deep concern and disappointment regarding an incident that occurred during my recent stay at RumFish Beach at TradeWinds, from July 3-6, 2025, which was meant to be a celebration of my wedding anniversary. At 4:30pm on July 5, I was approached by a security guard named Jeff while using one of the resort pools. Without warning or explanation, he ordered me to exit the pool. When I asked for clarification, he accused me of removing a "no swimming" sign--an accusation that is entirely false. My husband, who was sitting nearby, and I both explained that neither of us had touched any signage, yet the guard escalated the situation by threatening to call the police if I did not get out of the pool (in which I did) and ultimately he did so anyways. Despite our request for him to review the security footage--which would have confirmed we had done nothing wrong--he refused, and we were humiliated by being escorted by police to our room and asked to leave the property. Adding to the emotional distress, there was another individual (male) in the pool at the time, yet I was the only one targeted. The security guard's actions felt personal, intimidating, and discriminatory. As we were leaving, he even smirked at my husband, adding insult to injury. This experience was not only deeply humiliating, but it also caused significant emotional distress and disrupted a weekend that was meant to be celebratory. I have since consulted legal counsel, as I believe this situation was handled inappropriately, without investigation or due process. I am requesting a full refund for the portion of the stay lost due to this wrongful eviction and a formal review of the actions taken by your staff. This company needs to take the safety of their customers serious. On Wednesday February 11th our water stopped working. We went to the front desk to inquire. Employee at front desk had previous complaints but didn't know the reason the water stopped working. He took our room & phone number and said he would find out and let us know. We went back up to our room. A few hours later the water was back on. We let the water run for a long time. The next morning we went for for a walk outside. We went to look at their other properties next door that are also TradeWinds. We noticed there were signs hanging all over and on each of the guest room doors notifying them of a boil water alert. We went back to the front desk and asked why we didn't get a notice? The man sarcastically handed us a piece of paper and said here take this one. I said we've been up for hours and didn't know about the boil water alert yet the property next door all got notices on their doors. The front desk clerk said that's weird you should have. We left and went to our floor and there were no notices on any door. We know they couldn't put them under the door because the carpet was frayed by the door. They had all night to put notices up in the elevator hallways and on doors to ensure all the customers knew not to use the water. They failed miserably! It's not their fault that the water was shut off or the break in main pipe, however they should make sure everyone knows. We will never come back to this place!! read more

Power went out in the middle of the night, AC down generators could not power it, because of the grid? That was down, elevators out, bathroom ceiling starts to leak and I go to front desk 4 times to let them know they are not handling the situation, sink in kitchen is clogged, phone in room does not work, no one answers phone, water is shut off, we assume due to leak on our room, it was a different issue and the entire building has not water, pool shut down, bar serving limited drinks and POS system down. Place is a cluster and of the tradewinds resorts seems to be in the best shape, we had a far superior experience at the Beachcomber it was nice, we booked through Priceline and they tell us we have to contact them, Priceline says the hotel has to do it, I get it life happens, still we are on vacation and it did not seem to be a focus for the staff to make it right, as I sit here, they are sending staff home who are complaining about the fact they are being sent home and the water is down. No offer to change rooms to another without a leaking ceiling, just not right, restaurant is closed, all bathrooms closed. Just not right.shower leaks and doesn't work correctly. read more

Our issues began months before we even arrived. Shortly after booking our stay at RumFish Beach at Tradwinds, we noticed the same room and dates listed for about $50 less per night on a third-party site. I called RumFish directly, expecting a price match or at least an explanation. Instead, I was bluntly told there was nothing they could do. When I asked what the benefit was to booking directly through the resort, I received no clear answer, just that they couldn't honor the lower rate. That should have been my first red flag about their approach to customer service, but unfortunately, I ignored my instincts. A few days before check-in, I received an email offering an upgrade to a Gulf-facing room and early check-in. (Our original reservation was for a resort-facing room with Queen beds). I clicked to accept the upgrade to a Gulf- facing room but noticed after I clicked that this room had Double beds instead of Queens. I called the resort to switch back, only to be told that even if we didn't change anything, there was no guarantee we'd get Queen beds, which is something we specifically needed for two adults and two children. All they could offer was to "put a note in the reservation that we preferred Queen beds" and hope for the best. I also asked about early check-in, as mentioned in the email, and was told this "could not be guaranteed" and to simply show up early and see if anything was available. We arrived around 11:00 AM and were told the room wasn't ready but that we'd receive a call when it was. That call didn't come until 3:45 PM. I'm still unsure why we were offered early check-in if it wasn't actually an option. Upon check-in, with two kids (a 7-year-old and an infant) and lots of luggage, no one offered assistance or even a cart so I had to ask. Eventually, a bellhop arrived and we walked across the parking lot to the "Wahoo" building with our luggage and kids who were hot, hungry and tired after waiting for our room since 11 am. When we got to our room in the "Wahoo" building, it hadn't even been cleaned. I left my husband and kids outside in the heat while I walked back to the building with the hotel lobby to tell them the room they sent us to was not cleaned. I was matter of factly given the key to another room with zero apology or explanation. When I expressed frustration, the staff member actually said, "Come back and see me once you're settled and calmed down." Completely unacceptable. We also noticed that we were not given a parking pass at check in, so we had to yet again go to the other building hotel lobby to get a parking pass. The room we were eventually given was in poor condition. The floors were filthy; after walking around barefoot on the first day, my 7-year-old's feet were jet black with dirt. I didn't let her take her shoes off again during the stay. The shower was full of hair did not drain, and as we would shower the bathtub would fill up so we would be standing in ankle deep rising water with other people's hair floating. The sinks also didn't drain properly. The mini fridge we had in our room leaked the entire stay. Even worse, the walls had what appeared to be dried bodily fluids (like boogers), which is just inexcusable. We had no Wi-Fi the entire time. On day one, I called the front desk and was told it would be fixed soon. It was not. On day two, I called again and was told I needed to contact Spectrum myself and was transferred to Spectrum. The Spectrum rep was shocked and appalled that the hotel had pushed this onto a guest and informed me they couldn't speak to me about the issue since I wasn't on the account. Wi-Fi is included in the $25/day resort fee, but we never had access. After calling about the wifi with no resolve, we decided not to call about the other myriad of issues we were having (sinks/shower not draining, filthy floors and walls, leaking fridge, etc.). The beds and pillows were the most worn and uncomfortable beds I have ever slept on. If the floor wasn't so filthy, I would have slept on the floor. The beds were concave in the middle, so no matter how you were laying you would sink. The only redeeming part of this stay was the beach and pool. But that alone does not justify the over $400 per night price tag. For over $400 a night, this resort was abysmal at best. I wouldn't stay here again if I was offered a free room. The customer service from the beginning was dismissive and rude. I understand this area was hit by the hurricane pretty badly and they are trying to rebuild, but many of the things we experienced were unacceptable. I would never recommend this "resort." There are so many better places at St. Pete. We took a chance on this place and lost. Don't make the same mistake as us. read more

Just returned from a staycation week-end at the RumFish Resort. Considering what they have been thru the past 8 months recovering from back to back hurricanes, this place is amazing! My husband and I stayed at tradewinds grand island about 10 years ago and ended up in a room with a broke a/c. Fast forward to today and our children are the perfect age for a resort like this... We come to st. Pete beach every year and decided to try rum fish. We were really exited and my husband and I were thinking this is the perfect place to come with our kids. Sadly, soon after arriving we learned that several of the attractions that our kids were excited about are closed except on certain days. The website did not specify availability of these amenities, they were listed as though they would be available. A couple of the attractions that were available were listed as closing at 5pm in the resort app but the operators were closing them at 4pm. Then we went to go into the zip line which was open and they would not allow my daughter on in her swimsuit as they said the ride requires shorts and shoes although they had been allowing other people on without shorts and without shoes. I called the front desk and they transferred me to the adventure center who said they do not handle complaints. I had to request to be transferred to someone who could help me ... the woman I spoke with her she told me someone will call me the following day. The rooms are clean, we were indoors next to the elevator so we heard the singing throughout the night and early morning... the beds are ok but the pillows were a disappointment as they were cheap polyfil. For $300 a night I expect a comfortable nights sleep. The outside area atmosphere is great. I called and spoke with a supervisor and expressed my concerns. She took down my phone number and said someone would contact me to provide some kind of compensation and no one called. read more

I really enjoyed my stay at Rumfish Beach Resort by TradeWinds. There were beautiful views of the Gulf from the balcony of our 2 room suite. The suites were large enough to sleep 6 with 2 double beds and a pull out couch. It also had a kitchenette with a fridge, sink, and microwave. The rooms aren't the most updated but they were clean and comfortable. The only negative was the thin walls. At 7 am on Sunday, we were "fortunate" enough to hear the ENTIRE conversation of our neighbors including their extensive commentary on the current political climate of the nation and how something one of them ate gave them gas (ewww). That's too much to take in after a night of drinks and dancing :-/ There are several dining options including the Gulfside Grill. The food is average, not really any thing special, but reasonably priced. There was live music daily at the outside bar by the pool. There are two pools. There's an adult pool and a family pool. It was weird though because the bar was by the family pool and not by the adult pool. Hmmmm...Maybe not so weird. Parents need to get their drink on too!  We enjoyed a relaxing Beach day looking at the beautiful Gulf of Mexico from our beach cabana. We also enjoyed some of the amenities including the inflatable slide on the beach that was really fun. There's also a touch aquarium where you can touch different sea life. Every staff we came across were friendly, accommodating, and attentive! I would definitely stay again for a relaxing and fun stay-cation! read more

Tourist trap to say the very least... Accommodations are small and comfortable but rundown... Great beachfront location with plenty to stay busy with but you are nickeled and dime for everything... What really brings this place down is the lack of care and service from the employees... Every request is met with the utmost lack of enthusiasm... Like you are completely putting them out.... My family and I recently stayed at the resort. To say that we were disappointed is a total understatement. The room we were given overlooked the parking lot which was not disclosed when booking. The room was very small and dirty upon arrival. No soap or shampoo/ conditioner in the bathroom. We waited 3 days before housekeeping showed up to service our room despite calling twice. The beach experience was no better. They charge extra for EVERYTHING!! You want a beach chair close enough to the water to see your kids that will cost you extra. There was also 1 bathroom to service the entire outdoor area. All in all we would never recommend this resort to anyone. Total waste of money. read more

Not very impressed with this place at all. Pools were dirty and cloudy, with floating hair clumps. The only designated adult only pool was closed. The ocean view room with a balcony room had about a 2 inch deep balcony that you couldn't step out on. Only one working elevator. Very old and dingy. Also there's an additional "resort fee" every day you stay there, but every activity the offer also had additional fees. Cigarette butts in the track of the sliding glass door. I should have read the recent reviews but we booked months back. This place is totally outdated. Our room was small especially for a family of 5. It had a musty smell to it too. It is a great location on the beach and there are plenty of great restaurants we went to nearby because everything at the resort is overpriced. Coconut Charlie's right next door has better prices on drinks and food. We ordered pizza one night from a nearby restaurant rather than pay $26 for a 12 inch pizza from the Pizza Hut on site. The beach was beautiful at first but upon walking it every morning and seeing left over food and drinks really grossed me out. It's not the resorts fault that people are trashy but the garbage cans were overflowing on their section of the beach. The workers were nice and I'm sure overworked and understaffed. Zip line, water slides and paddle boards were fun but still not worth the price. We usually do airbnbs and not hotels for these reasons. I would not visit again. read more

Great resort, relaxing atmosphere great staff, lots of different pool options and hot tub options, especially knowing you can use all the amenities at their sister hotel Tradewinds Island Grande. Upon check in, we requested an ocean view, room, and booking through a third-party, didn't think that would be an option with the low rate we had. Mike, the amazing front desk guy, came through and gave us a special occasion and upgraded us to an oceanfront room!! Leaving the hotel in the elevator, we met Jackie, a super friendly hotel cleaning person, who was extremely positive, and obviously loved her job. Also, our room was extremely clean, reflecting the excellence their cleaning staff brings!! read more

Well almost an hour & still no maintenance Called around 4:30pm about a/c not working checked in around 2 room was at 75 so we turned it down to 70 came back up at 5:30ish & it was 78 called the front desk & was told someone would be up....10 minutes later called again & was told some one would be up I asked if I had to be here my wife was still in the bar & was told no so ran back down finished my now warm mixed drink came back up and still waiting, So much for our One Night Kid Free Trip read more

Don't do it!!! The location is great and that is the only thing that's beneficial of the hotel. Everything else is subpar. Everything is old outdated. The breakfast buffet do do not pay the extra money. Trust me don't do it. read more
