This location was perfect for what we were doing in St Pete, but I didn't think about the location to the nightclubs. Check in was easy, the lobby area nice. Our room was spacious and was clean. We should have realized it would be noisy when we saw the ear plugs on the nightstand. We could hear very loud music well into the night, and this was a Sunday night. I would think the weekend would be worse. Nice hotel, but just too noisy for a good night sleep.

What's that on the toilet seat upon check-in? Don't want to know.

We did a 4 night stay at this hotel during the week. It's pretty. It's bright. It's new, but it's got downsides. FIRST, complements to Alice & Bolar,in particular! Big smile and really friendly...assets to the team. Nathaniel is great too...fun personality. Lastly, Lindas on top of things and very helpful too! OVERALL, I would stay here again, but I'd insist on proper room cleaning b/c of previous experience. CLEANLINESS is an issue, but one that could be fixed very quickly while this hotel is in new condition. PROS: -GREAT, big, open gym!!! LOVE IT -Very pretty rooftop pool -NEW furnishings - stiff and very industrial, no real warmth, but new and nice -Pretty lobby -Location - can't beat it if you need to be in that area -"C" is for (complimentary) COOKIES! CONS: -Already not being cleaned well. The floors weren't clean. I switched rooms because there was urine & pubic hair on the floor from the last guest, so cleanliness is lacking. In the next room, the rug on the floor was obviously not clean. Under the couch...nastiness. Pic included for your enjoyment. -YOU DO NOT want to stay here with kids. They went so "fancy pants" on the industrial bathroom door that they overlooked being able to peak in from the sides. Brilliant. -Breakfast buffet is overpriced. It's not included. HARD PASS -Valet is Slloowwwww. You have to call down or go down, unlike the. much older Marriott around the corner where you can just text and boom-car is ready -CRAZY parking cost with no viable self-park options

I had a Marriott certificate that was going to expire so I went online to see where I could use it. Hadn't been to downtown St Petersburg in probably 15 years, I heard it had gone through a revitalization, so I thought I'd check it out. The hotel is very nice. It's super clean and it's right in the middle of everything. Walking distance to all the museums, restaurants, the pier, and the stadium. Once you're here, you don't need a car at all. Parking at the hotel is $39 a day. Directly across the street is a parking garage for 20. Rooms are spotless with comfortable beds. Staff was friendly and housekeeping was always cleaning. There's a really nice gym with a peloton so I was even able to get a workout in. Nice pool with a view of the city and a rooftop bar and restaurant. My husband and I tried to go to the rooftop bar for a late afternoon snack. The hostess told us to take a seat at the bar or one of the tables in the side of the bar. When no one came over, we went to the bar and the bartender told us he couldn't serve us and we needed to get our own menus from the hostess. We decided to go to the lobby bar that was supposed to open at 5 o'clock for happy hour. There were people waiting for this bar bar to open, but it never did. The hotel was full, so I can't even imagine how much business was lost over this. The hotel was nice. I'm not sure I'll never need to go back to St Pete again but if I do, I would definitely consider staying here again.

Perfect mid-priced hotel right in the heart of downtown. This is the perfect spot if you're here for food, museums, and fun. I got an upgraded king room with a separate seating area (which I never used). The bed was ultra comfortable. The bath was clean with a great shower. Plenty of outlets and USBs. Big TV that you can stream to. Only slight knock is that there is almost no storage space for your clothes. Hotel has a breakfast buffet in the morning but I didn't use it. Plenty of places within a 5 minute walk that are much better. And they've got a bar/restaurant downstairs which again I didn't use since there are about 400 bars within 300 feet of this place! They have a really nice rooftop pool which I wanted to use but didn't. Unfortunately the bar is not by the pool but 2 floors up with another restaurant. Seems like a missed opportunity. If I come back I definitely will stay here. Given the central location, I'm shocked the prices weren't outrageous (maybe they are in the summer).

We loved this hotel! I am so surprised that it is not rated better on yelp. The hotel is absolutely stunning and immaculately clean. Our room was spacious and the decor was gorgeous. Bed was so comfortable! Bathroom was clean, spacious and bright. Everyone here was also so great - the valet, front desk, other staff. We would definitely stay here again!! In fact, we can't wait to!

Stayed here four nights. Positives: - The hotel is new and clean. - bed was comfortable - It is in a convenient area and many places to walk to. - Staff were helpful and prompt with bringing things to the room like extra coffee - The rooftop bar and restaurant are convenient and the food & drinks were good (we had a corporate event here) Detractors: - The breakfast is not included automatically, and the selection is terrible. You'd be better off walking a block down the street to Craft Kafe and getting some fresh wonderful coffee and food. - The light in the first room we had was on auto-on/off and the light under the bench would go off and on all the time. We pulled the plug on it. - Pool opens at 7, where if you have a morning meeting, it's not really enough time to swim and then start your day. - From our first room on Saturday night there was loud music playing; it may not have been from the hotel, but it was annoying. Second room (stayed till Friday night) was quiet. - Second room overlooked the AC units. It was ugly. - Coffee in the room was terrible (I suppose to be expected). They said there is free coffee downstairs, but I did not try it. - They have valet parking and it could take a good 10 - 15 minutes to retrieve your vehicle when you need it (even if you give them notice). -no microwave, only fridge in the room. - no real place to put your clothing - translucent sliding glass door to the bathroom (with a huge gap and a loud fan that you can't turn off) means that if you have a partner who uses it at night, the light / noise will wake you up

My personal experience of The Hollander Hotel is what you'd expect from a local: I've had pastries at Common Grounds espresso bar, and even gotten my hair done by the resident stylist (fabulous complicated color job and cut!), and the Tap Room is always packed, so I feel confident in saying that this local hotel is just about perfect! Next, I'm going to try the massage therapists in the East Wing where my hair stylist was. I always recommend this boutique hotel for friends and family coming to visit us St. Pete! It's close to everything downtown, including the waterfront (The Pier, Beach Blvd., Central Ave.).

During our recent visit, the manager was unnecessarily confrontational and repeatedly made us feel unwelcome. Multiple guests also overheard her making disparaging comments about us to other employees. Another staff member ultimately found a simple solution by relocating us to the pool bar, where the staff was fantastic. What is equally disappointing is the lack of accountability afterward. I sent a detailed complaint directly to the Food & Beverage Director and, after receiving no response, followed up several days later. Both messages have gone unanswered. Poor customer service can happen. Refusing to even acknowledge or respond to a legitimate customer complaint is a management choice. Very disappointing from an establishment we previously enjoyed and supported.

This time, I stayed in room 201. Although it's a nice roomy corner room. The unfortunate thing about the entire stay was that there were Ants on any of the surfaces. They were on the desk while I was working. I tried wiping it down with water hoping that would help but it didn't. Then I moved my computer to the credenza where the tv is and there were ants there too. When I went to the bathroom to shower, there were ants all over the sink where I had placed all my toiletries. I was only staying for one night so I dealt with it. I simply closed my suitcase, put all my stuff away and hung it so I wouldn't end up taking any little critters traveling with to my house. I would stay here again but would make sure I don't have roommates next time.

Both of them went above and beyond and turned a pretty good, but average hotel stay into a 5 star stay. The location is perfect- walkable to a bunch of shopping and restaurants in downtown St Pete. The hotel appears to be valet only, but there are other options nearby too. The interior is clean and updated and the room was comfortable. One of the most frustrating things about reading negative Yelp reviews is hoping you won't have the…read moresame experience. My biggest concern before arriving was all the comments about rooms smelling damp or musty because, to me, that usually means mold. Getting to the hotel was a little confusing. We missed the valet entrance at first and had to circle back around for an awkward second attempt. Once we arrived, the staff was friendly and check-in went smoothly. I did get a little frustrated waiting for a luggage cart since there was only one person handling it, but we eventually got it. After a long day of traveling, we just wanted to unload everything and get settled. We were on the 15th floor, which is the top floor, and had a nice room with a king bed. The room was spacious, the bathroom was a great size for both of us, and if we looked off to the right, we had a partial water view overlooking the pool. My biggest complaint about the room was that it did, unfortunately, have that damp, musty smell I was worried about. Since we were only staying two nights and planned to spend most of our time out exploring, we decided to deal with it. I also wish more hotels would get rid of carpet altogether--it always seems to hold onto odors. There was a cheerleading competition in town, so the hotel was very busy. Thankfully, the teams were gone most of the day competing, so it wasn't as chaotic as I expected. The bigger issue was the elevators. Only two of the three were operating, and getting downstairs often took forever. It became a running joke between my husband and me trying to guess how many floors we'd stop at before reaching the lobby. As Hilton Diamond members, we receive a $30 daily food and beverage credit, which was nice. However, we were shocked that two cocktails at the bar still came to around $40. The drink prices were incredibly high, and the additional $45 per day for parking definitely added to the frustration. The location is excellent and within walking distance of the waterfront, which was a huge plus. Since we were using Hilton points, it made sense to stay here, but if we're paying out of pocket next time, I think we'd choose the Hollander instead. Overall, the hotel had plenty of positives, but the musty room, slow elevators, and expensive extras kept it from being a great stay.

Unfortunately, our experience at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront was disappointing from the…read moremoment we arrived. I was staying at the hotel for work for a week, so having a clean and comfortable room was especially important. From the beginning, all of the elevators had an unpleasant odor. When we entered our room, it smelled musty and did not appear to have been properly cleaned. One of the TVs was not working at all, the sofa was visibly dirty, and the dresser was stained as though coffee or another beverage had been spilled and never properly cleaned. Even the extra sheets and blanket looked as though they had been used, balled up, and put away. I had actually wanted to use them to cover the sofa just so I could comfortably sit on it. I brought these concerns to the attention of the front desk. Despite the number of issues, we were not offered another room, a discount, or any other meaningful accommodation. To their credit, an engineer did come and repair the TV, and I received a clean set of sheets and a blanket. Regarding the musty smell, I was told someone came to vacuum the room, but unfortunately, that did nothing to resolve the odor. I ended up buying febreeze and plug ins while I was in thr t What concerned me even more happened later during our stay. A man came to our room saying he was there to "fix" the refrigerator. We had never reported a problem with the refrigerator or requested maintenance for it. He then asked if I was checking out, even though we still had four more days remaining on our reservation. Because the interaction seemed unusual, I immediately went to the front desk to ask about it. The staff could not tell me who the individual was, why he had been sent to our room, or why someone believed we were checking out. That lack of explanation was concerning and made us uncomfortable. A guest should be able to feel secure knowing that hotel staff are aware of who is being sent to their room and why. Unfortunately, the musty and unpleasant odors continued throughout our stay and were noticeable in all of the elevators as well. Our bathroom's vent didn't work so I imagine that contributed to the musty smell in the room. The carpet looks dirty and old. Additionally. We had breakfast at the hotel restaurant, which was approximately $30, and the quality did not come close to justifying the price. I do want to recognize the positives. The valet staff were excellent and provided great customer service, and our king suite was very spacious. Unfortunately, those positives were overshadowed by the cleanliness, maintenance, odor, communication, and overall service issues. I understand that problems can happen at any hotel. What matters is how those problems are handled once they are brought to the hotel's attention. In this case, we raised multiple concerns during a week-long stay and never felt that anyone took ownership of the overall experience or made a meaningful effort to make it right. For a Hilton property, I expected a significantly higher standard. Overall, this stay fell well below my expectations of the Hilton brand. Based on this experience, I would not stay at the Hilton St. Petersburg Bayfront again, nor would I recommend it to others.

We booked a room with two queen beds for two adults and two kids. The room was simple, very clean, and everything looked fresh and well maintained. The furniture seemed new, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There was a mini fridge, a safe, a TV (which made our kids very happy), a coffee maker with coffee pods and tea bags, a hair dryer, an iron with an ironing board, an extra pillow, and plenty of towels. The bathroom had wall-mounted shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, plus hand soap, body lotion, makeup remover wipes, and soft facial tissues. One thing I really appreciated was the extra security. The room opens with a key card, but once you're inside you can lock it so the key card won't open the door. There is also an additional security latch, which gave us extra peace of mind while traveling with kids. It was very quiet at night, and we all slept well. The location is great--about a 10-minute walk to the pier, and we even had a partial water view from our window. There is also a pool. The only thing I noticed was a couple of spots where the pool's underwater coating had chipped, so it could use a little maintenance. Overall, we had a really nice stay. I booked this hotel through my Chase Sapphire Reserve card, and I am also a Bonvoy Gold Elite member. I PAID IN FULL for this room at the time of booking. The travel date was 7/24 - 7/26/2026. I checked my room on the Bonvoy app when I booked - it was there. Reservation confirmed by The Moxy. The day before my reservation, 7/23/2026, it was still there and ready for me to check in. I did not check in at that time because my husband had been in the hospital the day before, and I still had a cancellation window. Everything with him was okay and on 7/24 I took the Brightline up to Orlando, where my friend picked me up and we headed over to St. Pete for our fun girls' weekend. I decided to check in to The Moxy on the way to St. Pete on the Bonvoy app, and my reservation is no longer there. I looked at My Trips, and my "Cancellations", and OUR RESERVATION HAD BEEN CANCELLED!!! This was at 2PM on the day of the reservation and NO ONE HAD REACHED OUT TO US TO LET US KNOW. I just want to remind you - this room was PAID IN FULL several weeks in advance, and therefore no reason to be cancelled. I called The Moxy and no one answered the phone. I called Chase and spent almost 2 HOURS on the phone with them while the travel advisor contacted The Moxy and went back and forth trying to figure out the situation. Apparently, The Moxy had overbooked for the weekend. And rather than honor a PAID IN FULL reservation for a Gold Elite member, they cancelled my reservation and prioritized someone else. I can't imagine, that at 2PM the hotel was full of people who already prepaid with any sort of membership status, when the check-in time is 4PM. I later learned they were having a "Pool Party" event on 7/26, so I suspect we were bumped so they could get a higher price on the room. We did have a great rate. This is poor business practice, and The Moxy has lost my business. It nearly ruined what was supposed to be a relaxing weekend. We were redirected to another hotel - in TAMPA. We made the best of it, but we still had to drive 30 minutes to St. Pete to do all the activities we had already planned for and purchased. It's not nice for anyone to get bumped, but what's the point of having this "status" and prepaying if you can't be guaranteed a room? It doesn't matter if the room is booked through the hotel, Chase, Expedia, Hotels.com or whatever - A PERSON PREPAYS IN FULL, THEY GET THE ROOM.

Since the facial and massages are usually $225.each, this is a pretty good deal. The one major downside to the spa is the valet parking. You get two hours validated for $12, but then it is $12 an hour after that. If you get to the spa early to make sure you're not rushed, plus spending time after eating, this ends up being a not inexpensive valet parking bill. I'm really surprised there isn't a flat rate or that they don't validate more of your parking. Especially given how expensive the treatments are. I have to say I like the hard rock spa a lot more. The main reason is because the facilities here are small and seem a little rundown. The actual spa services are separate from where their steam room and salt room is. So you have to walk in your robe through the hallway to get from one to the other. Also, the salt room and steam room weren't turned on when we got there so we had to wait for both rooms to heat up. It is a bit confusing on how to turn them on, so we were lucky that one of the employees was nearby for us to ask. All the services are fantastic though. So if you're coming just for the service and not for a Spa experience, this place is pretty good. The massage was one of the best I've had in a long time. My masseuse really got into my back, which was fantastic. I thought the facial was well done as well. So if your plan is to come solo, this place isn't bad, but if you're coming with friends and want to experience more than just your services, I wouldn't recommend this place.
