Easy check in, clean room, incredible place to stay. Ocean front, most economical I saw. Easy parking . Staff is friendly and helpful.

    Wild life

Love the Shoreline. Service is fantastic, the hotel is super clean, grounds are simple but clean. Ample parking, great convenient area to walk around to convenience stores and restaurants. We stayed in the new building for almost two weeks. Full fridge, microwave and stove. Loved the laminate wood colored floors that gave it a clean and open feel. The recliners in the room were a great addition. I especially loved the super clean pool restroom!!! Used the clean laundry facility too!!! Simple yet high quality breakfast every morning of kind bars, low fat dannon yogurts, oranges, apples and flavored creamer for the coffees. Will definitely return next year. Having adults only and no screaming, whining kids at the pool was great!!!

#MyLongestReviewToDate Room 315 overlooked the pool, the beach, and the corner edge of the hotel building to the right. The saving grace from the partial view was the nice sized balcony with two chairs and a small plastic table. The room was a king with balcony (pool and gulf view), but the actual sight line of the pool was blocked by a tree. The shuffle board court was quite visible. If I actually cared to see the pool from the room, this would bother me since it was part of the description for the room. What did bother me in the room was the lack of art (photo of room art posted), very low water pressure for the shower, no light at the table (a small reading lamp would be nice), no bars or hooks in the shower to hang clothes on (not even a retractable clothes line), and only one three drawer short chest of drawers and two night stand for clothes (the chest was slightly taller than the night stands and perfect height for the tv). These are the things that bothered me, yet I gave them 4 stars (before since other things were discovered by the Mister). So, as of checkout, the pros don't necessarily outweigh the cons for me. The concerns that we have cannot be resolved before my check out date and are not one room specific (that has changed since we found a dusty black sports bra under the bed while checking the room to make sure we didn't leave any if our things behind). Cleanliness would cause me to not stay here again. I really liked having a full kitchen with electric stove, although I didn't cook (I like having choices). The kitchen was stocked with the basics including dishes, glassware, utensils, towels, coffee maker. We found two unclean knives in the drawer (see photos by Carl O.) Free wi-fi is always good (even if you've unplugged you will need to check into your flight home, or maybe watch something streaming). There is a grocery store about a mile walking west and a Publix close by to the east (go to the Publix, you'll thank me later), John's Pass and Boardwalk is about a mile west and great for all types of entertainment in case you need more than a relaxing time by the beach. There are very good to decent restaurants about a quarter of a mile walk con the resort (great recommendations from the front desk). The lobby is very small, just enough to handle business, including a few seats for waiting so there were no hustle bustle attitude workers (everyone that I encountered was very helpful). There is a rack of pamphlets for local activities and offerings and a shelf of DVD movies and board games (free for hotel guests to check out). We greatly enjoyed the pool. It's my most favorite amenity. The heated pool was clean and ranged from 3 ft 4 in to 8 ft. No life guard on duty. Several tables and chairs with umbrellas, and loners at the pool and just before the beach entry. Clear skies, flying birds...pure serenity. Free parking on-site, a great plus compared to other local resorts charging $20 or so daily for parking. Free daily continental breakfast included packets of oatmeal, coffee, cinnamon rolls, fruit, nut bars and 4oz juice cold rounds (the kind you get for middle school lunch). Ok, that's not so impressive but for a quick bite it will do (coffee and a cinnamon roll made the top of the list). Overall, this hotel is clean, but the room had some issues as noted, quiet (until I heard a crying kid across the balcony area, called the front desk and was told that the owners family may be visiting with kids - INSERT BLACK STARE #That'sNotAdultsOnly #That'sNotWhatIPaidToSeeOrHear #NowThat'sEnoughToMakeMeNotReturn #IFlewALongWayForAnAdultsExclusiveStay). They can be add cut add they want to be, and it doesn't matter how big they were, they were present, seen, and heard, and apparently live in the penthouse (said someone at the front desk as he showed us the family pictures upon check out). Nevertheless, our stay was slow and quiet. We were able to enjoy the beach and just plain get a mental break from a busy life, which was the goal. I should also mention that the hotel does not offer canopied beach chairs for the beach, but rather they are available to rent for $20 a day from a local vendor who has set up this option on the free access beach section that is directly in front of the hotel. You can buy a chair umbrella across the street for under $15, a worthy purchase even if you throw it away after checkout, in case you can't take it on the plane. Technically, you can honestly get more amenities in most other resorts, but we knew that before booking and didn't come here for that. Worth noting again, the heated pool is great and relaxing and it is greatly encouraged daily. ***Yes, I love children so take this adult face value... an adults exclusive resort should be just that. Since the owners live in the penthouse and have children know that this claim is not ever possible at the Shoreline Island Resort - Adults Exclusive.*** IJS

Very nice place to stay on St Pete Beach. I booked it last minute and mistakenly book a room across the street which is part of the hotel but not on the beach. They upgraded me to be right on the beach though there were no rooms with a view of the ocean. I was happy regardless. They offer a decent continental type breakfast. Room was clean though bathroom could have been a bit cleaner as here was some hair from previous guests. Not a lot but enough to notice. Otherwise all was good especially for the price.

King size bed with comfy pillows

My three night stay at this resort was just what I needed for a perfect staycation. Mario at the front desk was so friendly and welcoming and shared history about the resort. The close proximity to John's Pass, Sea Hag's and other quality restaurants was convenient and the resort had ample parking. My room was immaculate thanks to Mary and had all the comforts of home with a much better view. I had a Gulf front king size room and it had a kitchenette and balcony. The beachside pool was refreshing and it was nice to see people having a good time while socially distancing and heeding the indoor mask requirement at restaurants, shops, etc. I am so glad I selected this resort and hope to return soon.

After just returning home from our stay in Treasure Island, Florida, I had to make time to write…read morethis review and express how pleased I was with everything about Westwinds Waterfront Resort. We checked in on Thurs., Dec. 10th and stayed until Tues., Dec. 15th, coming into the Tampa area to witness and celebrate our daughter's graduation from USF. To begin with, checking in was a breeze, the grounds are incredibly clean and well-kept. The tropical foliage, palm trees and landscaping create this Utopian effect and you feel, well...relaxed. The resort houses approx. 35 - 45 condo-style units that give you a far better value than some of the competing hotels. I completely spaced taking pics of the interior while there but I can describe it as being fully furnished with stainless steel appliances, a breakfast dining area, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom and approx. 1000 sq ft. The master bdr features one of the most comfortable king size beds I've ever slept on and I woke up each morning, feeling entirely refreshed. I'm gonna need to know the brand and style of mattress that was, when you read this, Westwinds! The place was super clean, fully stocked with a variety of towels, spacious and had a nice layout to it. The wildlife surrounding the resort were also quite the sight to see, as were the multiple dolphin sightings at the rear of the resort. The pool was crystal clear, heated and very clean. The only issues we encountered were very minor and weigh nominally on this review. Our shower head seemed to have a mind of it's own by spraying multiple directions due to some hard water build up in the shower head jets. When I adjusted the water flow to a more powerful stream, it worked fine and I just had to adapt to a thinner, high-pressure stream. The other notable issue that may also require 10 mins of attention by the maintenance tech, would be to adjust or replace the toilet lever. In order to accomplish a full flush, the handle had to be held down for approx. 3 - 4 seconds, rather than a press and release. Lastly, in the front guest bedroom, the ceiling fan was off-camber and made a significant humming noise, no matter the speed. Once again...minor issues. The service provided to my family and I, by Leslie, was nothing short of wonderful. Leslie is the main property manager and seems to do it all on the grounds. She was awesome. So awesome, as a matter of fact, we took her down some homemade taco soup, prepared by my wife the evening before. We felt genuinely welcomed and valued the entire time we stayed. We will be back and we will be staying at Westwinds once more. This place was great!!! Thank you! SCORE: 4.5 STARS!!

When I say this hotel is right on the beach, I am not exaggerating. It is RIGHT on the beach, with a private access through the pool and patio area. It was quiet, clean, and the view was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed walking right out onto the beach, and the beach was not busy at all! We were able to find a sand dollar and some shells. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk team was very friendly, and the lady who checked us in offered us a top floor with a great view. I would 1000% stay here again!

We had a warm welcome from Kayla at the front desk and a very efficient and informative check-in. Really nice smile and genuine hospitality. If you are in a studio, one bedroom, or two bedroom, you have one car pass for the group. If you have a three bedroom, then you can receive two car passes. Due to its small footprint, parking is limited but sufficient. And the room was absolutely spotlessly clean, very well equipped, and everything was in working order. Very comfortable and a cool respite from the unrelentless sun. When leaving the unit, it is recommended to always draw the blackouts to help conserve the energy and the AC's function. You'll be glad you did. We did not get a chance to utilize the pool, but it looked like it was being put to good use with lots of happy people. It was easy to walk out to the beach so we utilized the beach every day of our stay. The hotel is easily walkable to John's pass Village and all the restaurants and shops there. The breakfast served each morning was fresh and tasty and always well-attended by the hotel guests. I would recommend getting there earlier versus later to avoid the crowds (7-10 AM). In addition to Kayla, Gavin was quite friendly and helpful at the front desk. All around, the the associates we encountered in any of the areas of the resort were engaged and interactive with the customers. Quite a guest-centric team. Remember to take your room key with you anytime departing your unit as it is required to enter both the beachside building as well as the front desk/lobby building. A 10 out of 10 stay!!!

Unfortunately, the noise level significantly impacted our stay. We were in Room 28, and directly behind the room is a hallway used by staff from the upstairs bar. Throughout the first night, we heard a heavy door repeatedly slamming and staff using rolling carts to transport trash. The noise continued until about 3:00 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. The next morning, I expressed my concerns to the front desk. He was polite, apologized, and said he would pass the information along. However, the noise resumed again the following night. Around 11:30 p.m., I stepped into the hallway and observed someone pulling trash on one of the carts; they did not appear interested in engaging when I tried to address it. Closer to midnight, after another loud door slam, I spoke with a different staff member who was very receptive and respectful. After that conversation, the noise level did decrease. I understand that hotel operations continue behind the scenes, but for a property positioned as an upscale boutique experience, I would expect better late-night noise control -- especially in rooms directly adjacent to service areas. The hotel has a lot of potential, and the cleanliness was excellent. However, due to the repeated overnight noise disruption, I would be hesitant to stay in that location of the property again.

After the last 3 years of a pandemic the one thing i think we can all agree on is at the VERY LEAST when booking a place to stay that SANITATION NEEDS TO BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY. OR AT LEAST CONSIDERED. I'm not just talking about maybe they didn't take the trash out or there weren't enough towels, but I found my comforter hadn't been washed (there was dog hair still on it from whomever was in here before me) and I know most hotels usually don't wash them anyway, but then the only other thing to cover was a top sheet. Then i pulled it back to find several what looked like pubes or possibly body hair in and on the sheets. So I'm thinking there's no way this gets worse but I pull the fitted sheet back to then find a VOMIT stain on the mattress pad, right by the head of the mattress wtf. (which was fresh bc it smelled like vomit, or maybe they just haven't ever changed the sheets once), and it gets better, freshly hardened, picked & still green BOOGERS on the fucking pillowcases. There were brown stains on the pull out couch mattress and stains on the couch pillows. But, PUBES. IN. THE. BED. Fuck. Safe to say we gathered our things and went somewhere else. I don't care if you are a motel 6 or the the Hilton you have an obligation to your paying customers to at the very least common cleanliness, it's not just good business but, basic human respect of another person to provide the bare minimum. The view is beautiful and that's all I can really say about the place. I truly wanted to love it but I couldn't.
