For starters, this place is cool. You enter the restaurant through the gift shop. Not so unusual. However you soon figure out that the awe factor comes from the gigantic fish tank in the dining room. There are also tanks in the bar area and hallway adjacent to the dining room. The service: Good to great. Our server was prompt and very knowledgable about the menu. The food: For starters, we got the Cold Water Oyster with Tobiko. These are 3.25 each. Very small in fact the radish on top covered the whole oyster. However they tasted great. We also got the Firecracker shrimp. They were plentiful but a little on the bland side. We also tried the crab dip. It was good but it should be renamed artichoke dip. The artichokes were the star of the dip not the crab. I can only speak for my entre. I ordered the cast iron blackened Mahi-Mahi. It was good not great. Little on the bland side and a little under cooked. The shrimp etouffee was delicious. We did not have dessert. We will try this place again in the future. Well the verdict is in! The decor is more immprssive than the salmon. It looked dry, bland and all around not appetizing. It appeared to look like chicken mcnuggets than fish. The cost was $35 plus tip. So I will recommend Guy Harvey for the fish tank, not for the fish food. read more

We waited close to 10 to 15 minutes for the lady from behind the bar to come over. It continued to go down from there. Hit or miss in regards to service the entire time we were there. The busboy reached across me to grab my salad plate, dumping my silverware on the table. Had I wanted my silverware touching the table - I would've put it there. Food was ok. The salmon everyone agreed was the best out of four dishes. The shrimp and grits were the least favorite out of everything we ate. It was bland and needed salt. The food was a mix of OK and good, with the one bright spot being the calamari that was really good (called "Crispy Squid" or something like that on their menu). Burgers: Average. When we arrived, we were expecting a bar atmosphere and were delighted to find a very inviting, intimate dining room. Came here specifically to see the fish tank (which was awesome), and had a great experience and an incredible dinner. The service we received from the bartender, Kevin, was exceptional. At his recommendation, we tried the grilled jerk swordfish. Oh. My. Gosh. Absolutely amazing. So full of flavor and how everything blended together was incredible. Hats off to the chef on that one. Wow!! Only complaint - they need a better system when the restaurant is booked and they only have first-come, first-serve seating in the lounge area. A line had kind of formed because the lounge was also full, but people were going around it and jumping ahead of those who had been waiting longer. Would've been helpful to have an official line marked out and a waiter to monitor it since it was so busy. Decided to stay at our resort tonight for dinner to not have to go far. Since we had arrived here the restaurant was seeming to always be busy. The atmosphere is really nice, menus are really cool and light up, the fish tank is really pretty and relaxing to look at. Now for the food review, the main reason we came was to have a nice dinner and was way below our expectations. Everyone in my party hated their meals including my kids. Our server was really nice and attentive she did her job exactly as she should, but what could she have really done about al of us having an awful meal? Just left the restaurant & not very happy. We had reservations & were seated in a timely manner. Our server Liz made us feel welcome. The Spicy Crab Bisque was amazing. Then our entrees came & that's when the disappointment began. My wife's Black Grouper was fine, even though both of our portions were on the minuscule side. My Blackened Swordfish was as cold as if it had just come from the Arctic Ocean. I asked Liz if this wasn't the way this dish is usually served, could she please have it warmed up for me, which she did very apologetically. It's definitely not her fault as to how the food is prepared. My main issue is that while they didn't just heat up the original dish, they cooked an entirely new meal, my wife had already completely finished her meal & had to sit there and wait almost 20 minutes for me to get my meal and finish it. I don't eat carbs and the waitress would not let me sub out the potatoes w the $40 ribeye, for the broccoli. I was drinking water, and she never came to refill my glass, so when she finally returned I asked for a carafe of water. She "couldn't do that" either. The ribeye, was a nice char, which gave it some taste but otherwise no flavor. The potatoes also had no seasoning and were just oily/buttery baby potatoes. They have a back wall that is an aquarium that was highlighted on the show tank. That was pretty cool and there are several other aquariums throughout the building. First dinner: Delicious food, great server and friendly staff, cool dining room with amazing wall-sized aquarium. Their grouper was really good plus a few of us branched out and got their pasta, which was also really good. They also had a really good burrata salad with tomatoes and balsamic! I wanted so much to give this place five stars. But, and there's always a but. When we arrived, we were asked if we had reservations. I did not know that reservations were required. But we were seated at a booth, very far away from their famous fish tank, which is why we were here. We were seated and a short while later Melissa our server came by and introduced herself and took our drink order. I noticed that the cocktails were taking a little longer than usual, and Melissa explained that the bar was a little backed up. I was OK with that. I ordered a seafood brochette, which is a skewered seafood served over a wilted salad. It truly is a beautiful presentation. My wife had Green curry, with some chicken that we paid an additional eight dollars for, it looked like about a quarter of a cup of shredded chicken was added to her salad. Melissa told her it was not spicy, my wife felt that it was spicier than usual. On several occasions I had to track down either a hostess, or another server to get my water glass refilled, and to get some salt and pepper for my wife's salad. Melissa seem to have disappeared. This young lady was not in a hurry to help anybody. After our dishes were cleared by somebody else, not Melissa. She did come by inquire about our meal. I did say that I enjoyed my meal and my wife enjoyed hers. Now here comes the point of "not paying attention." I commented on the table next to ours, because the lady was having the seafood brochette, the same dish that I had for dinner. Melissa commented, "you should try it sometime." Excuse me, that's what I just had for dinner. All the employees that we encountered there were very pleasant, very kind, and just were eager to help you and serve you. Melissa was lucky, that she received a 10% tip. I may try again in the future, but I will not be sitting at Melissa's tables. I don't know when restaurants will realize that bad service trumps the food. We walked up for dinner. The dining room was full and there was a long wait. We opted to go the very large, beautiful bar with outdoor seating. It was busy and it took longer than usual to be recognized by a server even though we were greeted at the entrance. When recognized the server brought the menus on the run. She came back about 5 minutes later to take our drink order. 2 waters as my wife still had a drink from the pool bar. Another wait until she took our order. I ordered the dry rub Rib Eye. My wife soup and a salad. 15 minutes later we looked for our server to get my wife's water. I got mine right away. Water and soup arrived and the tomato soup was very good. 10 minutes later my wife's salad arrived. She started eating it when someone came by and said it was the wrong one, grabbed it and left - no replacement. No server around. The table next to us was finished for 15 minutes when I walked to the bar to ask for our server. She showed up. No food. We got up to leave 45 minutes later and the food arrived. My wife was was too pissed to eat and sent hers back. I had to eat something because of BS issues. My steak was great. All this time the table next to us waited for their bill. Never did our server check on us or even come around. The Manager, after dealing with my wife ended up comping the dinner. This after offering drinks (I don't) and dessert. Again a diabetic's bad option. Zero top. Maybe if she spent more time serving her tables than showing off her boobs she would actually get some. (Other table tipped less than 10%.). My wife and I were surprised, but not shocked and then finally got our menus and was amazed at how expensive everything was and how little was on the menu. Dinner was hit and miss. The Good: The tank is beautiful and impressive. We sat toward the front of the restaurant and still had a good view. The calamari appetizer was very good. The crab bisque was delicious. The risotto was excellent. The prices are fair. The valet staff was super friendly and genuinely concerned that we didn't seem to have a good experience. The Bad: Although we made a reservation, we still had to wait 22 minutes to be seated (while looking at empty tables), and even then, it wasn't near the tank which is why the gentleman that took our reservation gave us this specific time. The iceberg lettuce salad was drenched in olive juice making it completely inedible. Although this is a seafood restaurant, was "out of" 20% of the menu (of course, one of the entrees I wanted.) The grouper piccata was tasty, but dry. The chicken tortellini tasted like it was boiled in dirty dishwater. Although the restaurant only has about 30 tables, there were servers everywhere. Ours, however, showed up every 15 minutes or so. Beverage glasses stayed empty and never checked on the quality of the meal (which we likely would have sent back.) It's billed as a "quiet, under-the-sea" atmosphere, but it seemed remarkably loud. We were seated just outside the entrance to the kitchen and there were no fewer than 3 collisions with wait staff. Rumfish is a tourist trap with a giant fish tank and a claim of fine dining. Well it does have a giant fish tank and everyone in there seemed to be a tourist. Fine dining? Not quite. Let's start by discussing the lousy service from a very young waitstaff. The hostess seemed confused because i actually had a reservation but she seated my party near the tank. Runner brought out water. Waiter took drink orders and mentioned that fresh baked bread was on its way. He then brought the drinks and again told me that bread was on its way. I then noticed that a table near me who arrived at the same time was enjoying bread. What gives? Anyway the bread eventually showed up and he, let's call him A-Rod, took both appetizer and entree orders. The app, a Korean beef skewer, arrived. It was excellent. I will attempt to replicate this item in my own kitchen. Empty app plates and empty drink glasses then piled up. Runner wasn't interested in clearing the table. A-Rod wasn't interested in clearing the table. Entrees arrived and A-Rod took one or two empty plates away and left the rest. Food wasn't great. Wasn't cheap either. My steak was large but fatty. It was served with green beans and other veggies. No asparagus? Really? Desert was good. Took pictures of the fish tank. All in all, no reason to return. A-Rod got 18%. read more

Words can simply not describe the breath-taking view created by Animal Planet's "Tanked" team. While staying at the Guy Harvey Outpost at the TradeWinds, we wanted to experience RumFish Grill. Our servers were very attentive and offered their favorite dinner suggestions. I started with the Organic Garden Salad made with watermelon and feta was light and refreshing. Per our servers' suggestions, my husband and I both ordered the Grouper Picatta which was excellent and very fresh, however, it was the incredible selection of desserts that nearly upstaged the massive aquarium. The Pineapple Rum Tiramisu was a slice of island paradise. "The Cave" allows a viewing opportunity without having to dine in the restaurant. My family and I were mesmerized by sting rays swimming over our heads. For a table near the tank, reservations are advised. They have a nice fish tank. That's about all I can say. *We went for brunch buffet so my review is based SOLEY on how they handled that. I have no experience with how they are for dinner.* The atmosphere was nice. We sat near the huge fish tank so that was enjoyable. The server wasn't very helpful. With the brunch buffet she said you get complimentary juice or coffee. I said I'd like one of both actually. She never said "Oh, it's only one OR the other and you get charged for the other." That's amazingly silly. So I paid $3 for a cup of mediocre coffee I barely touched. Fine. The actual buffet itself is ok. It's about half the size of buffets I've seen at other places. It seemed to be missing simpler things like scrambled eggs or just plain toast. The food that I did have was pretty good for the most part, although some of the sausage seemed on the verge of being undercooked. Also, although the sign said "Traditional Eggs Benedict", mine had salmon in it. It was quite surprising and a little disgusting...especially when you're expecting Canadian bacon. I'm fine with them serving it but really need to make an effort to identify it at the serving station. Another annoying thing is that they place the buffet on the opposite side of the host station so you constantly have to walk through a line of people waiting to be seated when you go up to the buffet and when you come back with a plate of food. A lot of "pardon me, excuse me" and annoyed looks. And finally, if I ask for ketchup, for the love of god bring me a bottle. I don't care how fancy you think you are, I do NOT want my ketchup in a little dish. You just make yourself look cheap.
