Teak has some of the best views in downtown St. Pete, which is one of the reasons we always bring our friends here when they visit. On a recent visit, we started with the clam chowder because we have been telling our friends how good it was. Unfortunately, this time it was nothing like we had before. It arrived lukewarm, was extremely thick-almost like wallpaper paste- and had an odd taste. We mentioned it to the manager and he was very apologetic and removed it from our bill. He surprised even surprised us at the end of the meal with a complimentary dessert. He explained that they tried a different recipe that day. We told him they should go back to the original one because it is much better. For my meal, I ordered the Teak house salad with blackened chicken. It's one of my favorite salads and I could eat it every day! It comes with mandarin oranges, strawberries, grape tomatoes, cucumbers, croutons and a delicious sesame pineapple dressing. I thought I had ordered the full-sized salad, but when it arrived it was smaller than I expected. It was perfect for lunch, but I probably wouldn't order for dinner unless I had an appetizer. I've had several of their seafood dishes as well, and they're always fresh and delicious. The service is consistently friendly and attentive. My husband usually orders the short ribs and says they are some of the best he's ever had. He orders them whenever he sees them on the menu so that's saying something. Overall, Teak is still one of my favorite restaurants to bring out of town visitors. The beautiful views, great service and good food keep us coming back. One thing to be aware of is the bill. A 20% service charge is automaticly added, and not all of the servers mention it. Just be sure to check your bill before adding an additional tip,
Honestly I don't understand why there's such bad reviews I really love this place and the chicken was phenomenal and my wife even enjoyed the scallops. Now am I bias because we came almost 45 minutes prior to them closing maybe but the service was phenomenal it was really quick they were so nice and they even greeted our table just to make sure we were okay and we were happy with the food. The place was super nice and obviously the views were awesome I can't complain and especially when you have a kid I would recommend to go here whenever you can just to at least see the scenery.
Food was amazing, service was terrible. I had ordered the popcorn shrimp and clam chowder as an appetizer. The shrimp was good, perfectly fried. Clam chowder was amazing. For my entree, I went with the hazelnut mahi mahi. This was tasty. Fish was perfectly cooked. Parsnip puree was good and the carrots were tasty as well. For dessert, we ordered the Key Lime Pie Cheesecake, bread pudding, and creme brulee. All were good, but the key lime cheesecake was to die for. Unfortunately, the service was terrible. No one came to refill waters or ask if we wanted another round of drinks. Dirty plates left all over the table. Our waitress was frankly quite clueless. And then a mandatory 20% "service fee" tacked onto the bill? Bad service and a required 20% tip??? Ask me how that makes any sense.
Made a reservation, drove two hours, was called by the restaurant to confirm. When we arrived they tell us the air conditioning has been out all day !!! They could have called and mentioned this issue and stayed would you still Like to keep your reservation This is HORRIBLE customer service! Where is managements good judgement????? Disgusting ! We drove 2 hrs to celebrate a milestone birthday. I Would Love to hear from management
It was Easter break and I booked for a party of 10. I called and the manager was so accommodating. He said they were booked for Easter and if I came in a little earlier he would make it work. I got there and Kylie and Mickey welcomed me and made it same like they were expecting me. A cool feeling. I mentioned it was my hubby's bday when I booked and they had all the details. I was very pleased. The service, ambiance, the view, the drinks all amazing. The only reason for my 4 stars, some of the dishes we ordered were just ok. Id you're in Tampa check them out.
We recently visited this restaurant to celebrate the last day of school, and it was the perfect spot to toast to summer! Located right at the end of the pier, the views of the water are absolutely stunning. It is a bit of a walk from the start of the pier, but there is a convenient shuttle available if you don't feel like making the trek. The service really stood out--the entire staff was incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful throughout our meal. As for the food, the clear winner was the Beef Short Rib. My cousin and I shared it, and it was delicious! The meat was tender, and the accompanying potatoes and broccoli were seasoned perfectly. We also tried the mac and cheese and the pineapple fried rice. While the mac and cheese wasn't quite our style, the rice was decent, though we were hoping for a slightly stronger pineapple punch. Overall, we had a fantastic time and a wonderful dinner. If you're looking for a great atmosphere with beautiful water views and excellent service, this is a must-visit. We'll definitely be back!
This place has a beautiful view and the food was actually good too. We made reservations to eat inside at their restaurant (Teak), but you may not need them because the place had availability. The upstairs bar (Pier Tiki) is first come first serve and you don't need reservations there. They have private tables that you can rent by the hour, if you want. On the bottom level they have a cafe (driftwood cafe) with coffee, sandwiches, and ice cream. If you have trouble with walking or trouble with using the stairs, they have a trolley that'll take you to the restaurant at the end of the pier and there's an elevator. that'll take you upstairs.
I've been to Teak for lunch and dinner and both have been very nice. The view is unbeatable during the day, at sunset, and after dark! The drinks are delicious, and the food menu offers interesting unique items. You're definitely paying for the location, but the quality of ingredients is also excellent. I got the tuna entree with rice noodles in a ginger carrot sauce and it was delicious and light! We had a party of 8 on a Friday night and service was extremely slow, but if you're wanting to sit and enjoy the view with no rush to turn the tables over to the next reservation, Teak is a great option! Be aware that you cannot drive all the way to the restaurant, you will have to walk or take the shuttle down the pier, and it is on the second floor (there is an elevator), so it may not be totally friendly to those with limited mobility or mobility aids.

Perhaps it's from the scene-y bar Teaki a floor above or the fact that it's located at the end of the pier, so people expect it to be touristy (which, I mean, it IS a go-to for tourists) and overpriced. I don't know. But I can say for sure: the food is amazing, the service is excellent, the value is on point for what you get, and the ambiance can't be beat. Good for a date night or for when family (including kids!) is in town visiting. We were seated at a table by the windows overlooking the water. You get the water views while being in the cool A/C! We were greeted by a friendly waitress who brought us a complimentary amuse bouche (SO good) with a thank you card for being returning customers. After getting drinks, we started with the calamari. Usually, we prefer calamari with traditional lemon and marinara sauce. While this one was with a more Asian-inspired sauce, the squid itself was perfectly fried (not too much) and the sauce wasn't overpowering. This was as light as a fried dish could taste! For entrees, we got the deliciously seared scallops over mushroom risotto (I don't even like risotto and I inhaled the whole thing!), incredible airline chicken over polenta (yes, you absolutely can and should get meat at this seafood restaurant!), tender short rib, the cornmeal crusted grouper (can't go wrong here!) and a side of spicy and sweet pineapple fried rice. We really wanted to try the bread pudding or pineapple upside down cake, but couldn't fit in any more food this time. We're already planning for our next visit!
We came here for Thanksgiving dinner and it was really nice. The rooftop had fun picture decor and a great view of the city. The turkey dinner was a special that they offered for Thanksgiving and it was yummy! We also got the Mac n cheese from their regular menu and that was good too, not my favorite but still good. We also had lobster bisque and that was my favorite would 10/10 recommend the soup!! The service was also very nice and we appreciated them being there even on a holiday.
A friend came to visit from Texas so I had to bring her to the Pier for the views and to sit at the Teak. The crab cakes were delicious. The salad was huge so we split it along with the dessert. The blackened grouper was perfect! The dessert was sweet with ice cream on the side. We sat at the bar on the 2nd floor and looked out at the water in the air conditioning. It was perfect for a hot afternoon.

Had a little date night here last night. Parked at the marina and walked down the pier. Like everywhere else in the city, if you're not a resident it is pay to park. I think $2 an hour. There's a little bar on the way so you can walk with a drink and enjoy the view. We ended up on the second (or third?) floor at Pier Teaki and got some drinks while waiting for our reservation. Ours was Thursday at 8 pm and definitely not needed but I wanted to ensure I got that window seat for the sunset! To be honest, the food was not my favorite. I got the wonton tuna tartar tacos as an appetizer and easily my favorite of the night. I also ordered the snapper plate that was served with blistered tomatoes, creamed corn, and tostones. It was fine. Nothing to write home about and I did have to ask for salt. My husband ordered the shrimp scampi and the shrimp was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The pasta was a bit lacking. He also ordered steak frites (to go) and the steak was a bit overdone and dry. Not enough to send it back or make a fuss but not exactly what we wanted either. The dining room is cute and cozy. We had a window seat and didn't realize our sunset view was going to be behind the skyline. It was still gorgeous though. The kitchen has sort of an open concept and I'm not sure if that contributed to how warm it is in the dining room. They had a couple of industrial fans blowing to help but it is on the top floor with wide windows and the Fl summer sun shining right in. It's to be expected. I've seen it a lot since I've been visiting but it should be noted that almost every establishment comes with a 20% service charge. All of the staff we interacted with informed us of this before ordering though so not a big deal. Our server was absolutely attentive and so kind. read more

We recently decided to give Teak another try after our first visit nearly 10 years ago when it first opened. Back then, we left feeling underwhelmed. The spectacular waterfront views were the highlight, but the food simply didn't measure up. We hoped that after a decade, the dining experience would have improved. Unfortunately, we were disappointed once again. The presentation of every dish was beautiful. We ordered the scallops, a fish entrée, a cheeseburger, and mac & cheese as a side. Everything looked absolutely delicious, but the flavor just wasn't there. Every dish was surprisingly bland and lacked the seasoning and depth you'd expect from a restaurant in such an iconic location. With one of the best waterfront settings in St. Petersburg, Teak has incredible potential. It's disappointing that the food doesn't live up to the view. We left feeling that Teak is a destination for the scenery rather than for a memorable meal. As locals, we're fortunate to have so many outstanding restaurants in St. Petersburg, and unfortunately, Teak isn't one we'll be returning to. read more

Wonderful dinner spot at the end of St Pete Pier. Excellent service. The cocktails are wonderful. My favorites are the wedge salad and the crab cakes. It is great spot to come for sunset and 360 water view. You can see both skylines of St Pete up close and Tampa off in the distance. read more

Our party of 3 had a lovely dinner at Teak on a rainy night. We had a reservation but decided to sit at the bar instead. It's beautiful - great views, beautifully painted ceiling, and great service. I chose the wedge salad, with grilled salmon added. It was delicious! I'd definitely visit Teak again! read more
We were visiting the St Pete Pier and decided to give this place a try. It was a weird time of day , about 4:00 just between lunch and dinner and the place was not busy at all. The view around the bay was beautiful, it's a great setting. The skyline in St Pete has certainly changed/ grown since growing up here in the 80's. We ate from the lunch menu , clam chowder, side Caesar salad, shrimp appetizer, black bean sandwich and some Teak punch ( Rum)... had a couple of these. Everything was very good and the service was great. If you are visiting the pier , I highly recommend. read more
This is an amazing restaurant on the pier in St. Petersburg! It is on the 3rd floor. My husband and I walked down the pier to the restaurant. Bottom floor is Driftwood cafe, 2nd floor was a gift shop, 3rd floor was Teak restaurant, and top floor was Pier Teaki! The Teak restaurant was super nice. My husband and I sat at the bar with an outstanding view of the ocean! There is seating throughout the restaurant with amazing views. Alex, the manager, was working the bar area & he was fantastic. He had a great personality and went over the menu with us. I had the tropical thunder with coconut rum and it was very good. My husband had his favorite rum, flor de Cana 12 yr rum with a splash of coke. Alex recommended the crab cakes. They did not disappoint!! They were so good!! My husband had a cheeseburger with bacon and steak fries. Everything was delicious!! Our other server was Bowser (?) and he was awesome too!! It is a must see while visiting St. Petersburg!! Got an early reservation with a beautiful ocean view. Unfortunately it started to rain and get a little foggy but once it cleared up it was still a sight to see! It was my first time here for date night for me and my partner, and it did not disappoint. Katelyn took great care of us all night. She gave wonderful recommendations on food and the service was nice and quick. The food was the star of the show. Baked Mac and Cheese 5/5 So flavorful. The only thing I'd change was for it to be a bigger portion.. it was so good me and my partner finished it in minutes. Sesame Crusted Salmon 5/5 I feel like the look of the plate could have had a little more green for garnish, but the overall flavor of the dish was amazing. The salmon was tasty and the crunch on top was delicious. That paired with the sweet fried rice was a great cohesive plate. Colossal Shrimp and Black Garlic Pasta 5/5 Wow. Bold flavors all round. Nothing to critique. I will definitely be a retuning customer. The chefs and Katelyn along with all the other hosts and servers we interacted with tonight have gone above and beyond the expectations I had. Thank you for a great experience! read more
Had a lovely Sunday night dinner at Teak! We were able to make a same day reservation. Grab the tram to the end of the pier if you can because its a bit of a walk (especially on a hot day). We were seated promptly and thoroughly impressed with the water views all around! Our server was friendly and gave recommendations, and also was patient with our slow pace for the meal. Drinks: St Pete Peach spritz, light and refreshing, would order again! Appetizer: crab cakes, comes with two 4 oz cakes with a delicious lemony tarter sauce Dinner: I chose the sesame crusted salmon, which was served with a pineapple fried rice, bok choy, and crispy noodles on top. Cooked perfectly and the rice was flavorful and paired with the salmon well. My friend had the Ultimate Wedge BLT salad, which was a large portion topped with bacon, corn, and Bleu cheese. Dessert: we shared the chocolate peanut butter bombe, which was like a thick mousse with a crispy cookie underneath. Not too heavy and a nice sweet treat! Overall, come for the views, but you will likely be treated to a wonderful meal as well! read more
As a party of 6 plus two 4 year old girls. The crew was very nice for a rainy Sunday evening dinner. It's quite a walk from the nearest parking lot to the end of the pier. There is a tram both ways but after you eat please take the time to appreciate the pier and the fishing deck! Our appetizers garage were brought out quickly and presented very nice. All perfectly flavored and a real delight. Our main courses were Sea Scallops with mushroom risotto, Peruvian paella, mahi mahi and the charcuteries board, a Lamb shank and a full wedge salad with grilled shrimp. All were prepared perfectly and served with a great presentation. The kitchen is quite open and the staff superb and ready to serve. Alcohol was limited for us with only two drinks and the girls were very happy with them. The hostess station is just like a bikini bottom SpongeBob SquarePants vibe that makes adults and kids alike laugh. Great people making great things happen for the community! Amazing view of downtown from seating by the windows. The space was also absolutely beautiful however, I found that our food was just average for the price point. The presentation of our Tuscan chicken was great but I found that the sauce lacked flavor. The Brussels were very yummy and so was my mocktail. I would definitely return and just try a different dish next time! Our server was super sweet we told him about our dissatisfaction with an espresso martini and he was super quick to get it fixed. read more
Actually pleasantly surprised by Teak after reading the reviews here. We went for Mother's Day brunch. The views were outstanding and service was great. For its location, I thought the prices were pretty reasonable for the atmosphere. Our server Zach had excellent recommendations. I forgot to get a picture of the crab cake appetizer, because we inhaled them. Definitely get those if you come here. I had the Cuban Eggs Benedict, which were delicious. Next time I'll definitely get something with seafood, because that's where they seem to excel. My dad got their Mahi Mahi and it looked really good. I also loved the popcorn coconut shrimp, it was cute that there was actually popcorn covered in old bay seasoning that came with it. They even treated me to an ice cream sundae, because my mom let it slip that my birthday was coming up, and that was an unexpected & delicious surprise! read more

Great spot over looking the water. The interior is gorgeous and they keep to the light, beachy vibes which is perfect for looking out at St Pete. They serve their espresso martini with rum, which was new to me. I'll probably stick to vodka/tequila espresso martinis but for a rum-base is was still very good Calamari was a great starter, chicken and ciabatta was perfect, and overall it was a great meal read more

Came here for sunset with a reservation and were seated quickly. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive. I'm gluten-free and really appreciated that they had plenty of options to choose from. Our food actually came out before our drinks, which is usually a downside--but in this case, everything came out so quickly after we ordered that it wasn't an issue at all. The drinks followed right after, and even our waiter seemed surprised by the speed! Overall, a great experience and we'd definitely come back. read more
Beautiful views and great food! Teak was my choice restaurant to go celebrate an achievement in life with the family and it was the perfect choice. The prices were reasonable and there was something for everyone to try! Excellent views as well of the st Pete city scape while you watch the airplanes do touch and gos. I chose the ceviche as a starter which isn't your typical presentation like you'll get in many places, but they were very good and honestly did not last but a few minutes! I went with the prawn and black garlic pasta dish and I was very pleased with this. Excellent sized prawn and the pasta was well prepared as well. My only suggestion is that they consider clarifying their cocktails to help with their presentation and flavor, but still very drinkable and not excessively priced. The serving staff were very attentive and very helpful as first timers! Logistics with parking honestly was perfectly fine, there's tons of parking at the end of the pier and on a weekend day for lunch we had zero issue with finding a spot. Overall, I highly suggest going here as the food was fantastic and the view was spectacular! read more

Went to check out St. Pete's pier and initially went to have a cocktail at the upper tiki bar but decided to have an early dinner instead. The views cant be beat from pretty much any table but a window seat is best! Hostesses seemed confused and took a long time to seat us but man once seated and cozy what a great decision. We had snapper served over a pureed corn with blistered tomatoes. Delish and very mild! My husband had the chicken breast over polenta with a a nice red sauce and mixed greens. His dish was so flavorful and bright. We had a calamari appetizer with a spicy chili and an aioli -so great very elevated from a regular ole calamari appetizer. Our cocktails a bourbon rum old fashioned and a rum and guava tropical thunder both hit the spot very satisfying. I highly recommend this place. If you're wanting a nice meal more than the usual fried fare this is the spot! Go! read more

Ambiance is definitely a 5. The restaurant is tastefully nautical and the floor to ceiling windows allow a gorgeous view of the water. Service was a solid 5. We didn't have reservations and the host managed to fit us in at 5:00 pm which was fine because we were a hungry bunch. Wait staff was attentive and friendly. Food was sadly a miss, I would give them a 2 and that's being generous. We did like the Tuna Tar-Tacos which had a touch of wasabi that elevated the taste. We also liked the Fire Cracker Brussels. Both entrees were a fail. The scallops were (way) undercooked and the vanilla bean buerre blanc was so sweet. It would have tasted better on top of a cupcake. I had the crab cakes as my entree and the exterior was overly brown. The interior had a hint of crab and was mushy. Yuck! Wednesdays are 1/2 price bottles of wine and the wine list is excellent. I recommend coming on Wednesdays for the view and wine! read more
Had a great experience at Teak! The service was excellent and the waitress (Alysia) was super accommodating! The ambiance was amazing and great! It's so cool to sit by the windows and the look out on the water. The filet was great. I added shrimp to it, and it made the dish so much better! The twice baked potatoes that came with the filet were so good! My friend had the Tucson chicken and said it was unfortunately underwhelming. Would definitely recommend! read more
Anniversary dinner @teakstpete tonight! We arrived early and they had no problem seating us right away. We ordered the calamari (the dipping sauce was spicy!) and Bill had a cup of clam chowder. I enjoyed the scallops with a hazelnut fennel salad and mushroom risotto while Bill had the salmon with an orange sauce, rice and bok choy. They gave us a complimentary sundae for our anniversary and it was so good! The views were beautiful and we watched a lot of sailboats go out and airplanes land at the small airport across the way! It was a beautiful night weather wise and we sat outside afterwards enjoying the breeze and watching the water. read more
Our One Table reservation was at 7 pm, but by the time we could park our cars and walked to the restaurant, it was almost... 8 pm. Parking on a Saturday night at St. Pete Pier is hard, and as Orlando residents, we learned it hard way. But no problem with the host/hostess at Teak. We called, and they had a back up table for us. Teak has the best view from top of the St Pete Pier. We tried Calamari, Shrimp Saviche, and Clam Chowder first. Then we had Rack of Lamb, Seared Scallops and Grilled Salmon for entrees. Overall, great ocean view, delicious food and excellent services. We took the tram on the way back. read more

Date night in St. Pete kicked off at Teak. The restaurant is beautiful with a great view. Service is excellent. Food and drinks were just ok. Had very little flavor but they were fresh ingredients and good portion size. It's pricey for average food. Recommend espresso martini add Bailey's. Duck spring egg rolls were good too. But the experience made it worth it. Make sure to go upstairs to Pier Teaki for a full fun experience. read more

Our waitress was wonderful and made our anniversary special. Love the vibe of the glass sitting and watching the sun go down. Food was delicious !! We had such an amazing wonderful night. Once we parked over in the covered parking we walked over and down the pier. Ha if we would have known there was a trolley sooner we would have gotten on. But it was over all such a beautiful walk and place to dine right on the ocean. read more
First, the views are awesome, although it does surprise me that the restaurant faces the city and not out to the water. Our server was super nice and was prompt with everything and checked on us often. The menu has a nice variety of choices. I settled on the seasonal soup and the sesame crusted salmon for my entree. The soup was delivered nice and hot, but I will say it wasn't attractive at all. Fortunately the taste was really good and I would get it again. It was a chicken tortilla type soup but it was green, which was different for me. My salmon was presented well. The salmon was perfectly cooked and the pineapple fried rice was excellent. I do think that there was an excessive amount of sesame seeds on the salmon. Overall, great experience and I would return. read more
Teak sits on the 3rd floor of the St. Pete Pier. We had quite a long walk to the restaurant as we could not find parking closer. Keep in mind shuttle service is offered at certain points along the way. We happen to pick a very busy holiday weekend so we ended up getting our exercise in. What awaits you once you arrive are floor to ceiling windows with breathtaking views of the bay. It is absolutely beautiful. The interior is lovely too. We were seated immediately with a reservation for lunch. Service was good as the waitstaff staff was extremely attentive. We started off with the popcorn coconut shrimp which was OK, however not a re-order. We also ordered the fish spread for the table. It was quite heavy on the mayo and not a reorder either. For lunch we ordered a grouper sandwich which was just OK. I believe the bread to fish ratio was off. One person got a breakfast, which was fine. My daughter got the fish and chips which she seemed to enjoy. I ordered the Cobb salad with grouper, which was OK too. That's just it everything was just OK. Nothing was great. So you are getting stunning five star views with 3.5 food, in my opinion. I would come back to give them another chance. The view is worth it alone. On the roof you will find Pier Teaki with comfortable seating, cocktails and a limited menu. read more
