They failed empty a can full of garbage on pickup day. I called them same day and they said they would swing back today or tomorrow. Never happened. I eventually brought the can back to its spot. I had then wait a week for pickup. read more

Worst service possible! Left mattresses and box springs out for normal pickup. All wrapped, sealed, with a bow tie...ridiculous.. only took one mattress. Called Tuesday (twice), Weds, Thurs. Same response: They will be out in next 24-48hrs. Asked for a supervisor: None available Trash company all around (literally). I would be embarrassed to work for this company. I normally do not leave negative reviews but I am so annoyed at the level of unprofessionalism with this company, I feel I need to warn other businesses to look elsewhere here in Cleveland. This company has zero customer service skills. We cancelled our service with Rumpke well over a month ago and are STILL waiting for them to pick up the dumpster that is now overflowing with trash. We have called numerous times and have gotten nowhere. Every call is sent to a voicemail that often times go unanswered. We still have not been given a date as to when they plan on picking it up. Closed on a house September 5th 2024 previous owners, said Rumpke did their trash and they did a good job and recommended them to me. At first they picked my trash up every week now I've have been skipped 3 times now. My neighbors next door are like 20 feet from my house and they have picked their trash up every time but skip mine and from what I have seen the truck drives past my house to get to my neighbors. read more

hands down the worst trash service I have ever dealt with. At least once a month our trash was not picked up. This last time was the last straw- they changed our pick up day and instead of sending an email like they do for EVERYTHING ELSE, they sent a postcard- which I received the day AFTER our new pick up day. I called and explained what had happened and asked nicely for someone to come back out and pick up our trash- it was very full and couldn't wait another week. I was told no, I had to wait until the next week. I canceled immediately and what do you know- someone came out and picked up the trash. It has been THREE full weeks- 15 business days- and they still have not picked up their trash can. It has been on the curb the entire time because I was told if it wasn't in plain site at pick up we would be charged $95. If you have a choice in service, don't pick them. I will say, their customer service reps were very pleasant to deal with and did their best to be helpful. read more

Rumpke is always very efficient to work with by phone, drivers are always there on pickup dates, and we are always notified if there is a change made in our service. The drivers are courteous.. even when our dogs bark at them from our yard.. and they do an excellent job. Much appreciated!! I don't know what more you could ask for! read more

Well Rumpke, you did it again. Last Tuesday, December 27th was our garbage pickup day and once again they completely dropped the ball. I put out both garbage cans, and like most people, had more garbage than normal due to the Christmas holiday. They came by and emptied the recycle bin first, so good there; when it was time for them to come back and empty the garbage bin, I also assumed that they would also be grabbing all of the bulk items outside of the cans, but guess what? They emptied my garbage, but failed to take the two garbage bags that were sitting right next to the bins. Mind you, these two bags were light as a feather, as they only contained all of our used wrapping paper, but once again they were not taken and left on the tree lawn. I left them out there the rest of the day just in case they were coming back to grab the "bulk garbage", but never returned. When I woke up Wednesday morning the bags were still there-what gives Rumpke? Second issue with them in 6 months; on the other hand, we had Republic Services for 18 years and never had a problem. The city told us that the increase in fees would be worth the services that Rumpke provides compared to their competitors, but the service is lacking. Hopefully when I put out my garbage tonight, they will be sure to take EVERYTHING tomorrow. read more

Bought out Mid-State and rates remained the same. Whenever trashed was missed; called and it was picked up next day. Great service so far.

For the most part the service has been good. There were several times they did not pick up all the trash or if there was road work they did not communicate when the trash would be picked up. read more

I have had Rumpke for going on 5 years. I have received great service, notifications when the holiday will interrupt my service and when the next pick-up will be, so there is mo guessing. Your bill climbs a little during your period but it is not outrageous and it keeps our country clean. We do love our service. read more

worst customer service in history. nothing but problems with this company, they come whenever they feel like it, wont give an eta, miss the scheduled pickup, use any excuse to not pickup. do yourself a favor and get another company to service your needs. read more
