Went for tea and dessert on the weekend. Good service. The cake was very rich. The waffle was good. Presentation was nice. Nothing bad to say. Very large menu, many options. They also serve alcohol.

We have been here a few times. Food is very good with ample choices, but pricy for a diner. They also have alcoholic drinks , but we have not try them. Service is excellent with warm professional staff mostly young ladies. The ambiance is excellent. The place is very clean, comfortable chairs and booths, good lighting and music. Recommendations: the place is too cold even in summer and please swap the on-table salt dispenser to regular ones. The current one does not have iodine and requires grinding. It's not practical for fries and salads.

Lovely diner in New Jersey. I ordered a beef wrap and it was delicious. The beef was thinly sliced and cut into two halves. Service was excellent and the atmosphere very nice. Definitely would recommend this diner!

We arrived at 9 pm on Sunday. Their hours are until 10pm. After a few minutes a server approached us and said they were no longer seating tables. I confirmed if they were supposed to be closing at 10 and she said we do but we decided to close earlier today. I was upset by this because my Dad and I had a long day at the hospital visiting a family member and when we wanted to eat my Dad had suggested "another diner". I pushed for us to come to this one because it was closer to home and had better reviews than his suggestion. I was highly disappointed that we were turned away because "they decided to close early". My dad is retired from the restaurant industry and even he said he'd never heard of anything like that before. After this sour experience I'm not sure I'll be coming back again.

Easy to get to location. Staff was very nice and attentive. Food came out in a reasonable time. Nice clean looking diner. I got a special for lunch, which was very good. The Monte Carlo and we also got the chicken quesadilla. It was huge.

This diner looks clean. It looks like an updated diner. We went on Saturday morning and there wasn't a wait and there wasn't many people dining in. The first thing that caught my eye is when I asked for the kids menu they stated they didn't offer one. I was a bit surprised for a diner not to offer a kids menu. This establishment is an average dining experience. The food wasn't out of the normal. The prices were pretty high, especially for diner food. I personally wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again but if I was in the area it was okay.

Nice and clean diner and the service was decent. The food was great so I would actually go back and try different dishes from the menu!

This place is fairly clean, has a nice sized parking lot and offers a pretty robust menu. The service was not the friendliest but the hostess was very nice and welcoming. My issue is the relative value to food quality ratio wasn't that good here. In short, they charge pretty high prices for a diner compared to some other nearby options and the food wasn't so awesome that I thought - well gee, I'd sure come here again given what I just paid. The French dip sandwich that was recommended to me was fine but not $20+ dollar fine. Fries were crispy but overall the sandwich itself lacked any real flavor and the meat was kind of dry. The good au jus gravy was what sort of saved the dish. The burger was average. Patty was ok but not particularly juicy or memorable. The price of the burger here was much higher than a nearby option that tasted better IMO so again, that's what was the sticking point for me. If the service was amazing I'd prob make this 3 stars but it was spotty and at times unresponsive. It wasn't particularly busy when I went on a Sunday morning so not sure what's going on there. Either way, I think it's better to consider other diner options if possible.

We stopped by for breakfast and couldn't have been happier! I ordered the carnitas quesadillas breakfast and it was delicious. Runway is a proper diner, I noticed all the great food around me. A must try!

    Salmon creole with rice
    Jimmy W.

I got the lunch special salmon creole and it came with chicken soup. What a big deal for $15. Portions were so big I couldn't finish the food and have something for snack later. The decor is also amazing. The staff is very friendly. The soup was just right and not too salty but the salmon over rice lacked a bit of flavor. The garlic bread was a nice touch too.

We're so glad we did, because this hole in the wall turned out to be a diamond in the rough. With a nondescript exterior and limited signage, Foodies Diner is easy to miss. It's in an area with mainly houses and mixed use commercial buildings, but the space inside is cozy. I especially appreciated the way the owner greeted everyone who enters and thanked everyone who leaves with notable warmth and small-town friendliness. The menu reads like a true diner - with all-day breakfast and brunch options, as well as standard lunch fare. We ordered a Santa Fe salad and an L.A. burger - which comes with avocado, bacon, onion, lettuce, and tomatoes. The burger was pretty standard, but having it delivered on a warm brioche bun feels a little bit special. The accompanying fries were also great - crisp and potatoey on the inside. The salad, on the other hand, was a near triumph. Served on a large platter, there was a small field of well-seasoned chicken, shredded cheddar, vegetables, avocado, pico de gallo, and - best yet - some pieces of warm, toasted pita. I even sprinkled some pieces of bacon from my burger into this salad, and wow did that take it over the top. I dug into this salad with fair gusto and would absolutely come back for it...which is saying something, since I wouldn't expect to fall in love with a salad at a diner. Service was fantastic, and we were pleased with how reasonably priced our meal turned out to be. There's plenty of parking - either right out front or in the lot further back.

The restaurant has an interesting history. Even though the original opened in Cresskill, NJ, it unfortunately has permanently closed. However, not only is the Edgewater location amazing, but it had the guts to open during COVID (2022), survived, and is succeeding. The restaurant is beautiful inside and outside. Their decorations are tasteful, the presentation of the food is award winning, and the service is stellar. I started with a Mocha Cappuccino and it was so good. Served in a large mug, an airy/creamy top, and had the perfect amount of mocha happiness throughout. Before the meal even started, we were graciously given Za'atar (a popular Middle Eastern spice blend with an earthy, tangy, and nutty flavor, toasted sesame seeds, and sumac, with salt). It was crunchy, drizzled with oil, and I enjoyed how each thin pita bite made the spices explode all over the table. The entrees were: Strawberry French Toast. The next was the Falafel Platter (chickpeas and fava bean balls, served with tahini sauce, pickles, turnips, tomato, and mint). The last selection was the Avocado Toast (Citrus cured salmon over multigrain bread, tomatoes, onions, capers & citrus vinaigrette). Not only were all of these dishes beautifully presented, but all were filling, as well. My Avocado Toast kept me full for the rest of the day and the salmon was enjoyably salty, thin, and delicious. I noticed a dessert in their display case and ordered it. The dessert was the Riz Bil Ashta (Lebanese rice cream, infused with orange blossom water, blended with milk and cheese, and topped with crushed pistachios). This dessert tasted like a regal custard and the pistachios added an enjoyable texture that makes it recommended. Of course, I had to cap the meal with a Mocchiato. This amazing beverage followed the rest of the meal..... delicious, eyes closed good, and every sip was full-flavored. Thank you, Madison Café and Grill, for presenting a memorable meal and I wish you continued success.

We ordered a classic sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll and this time, I also wanted to investigate their bagel game. I ordered an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese and it took just a few bites to remind this newly transplanted Southerner that bagels in the Northeast are in a league of their own. Food comes out fast. We both watched admiringly from our tables as the short order cooks moved like tornados at the grill, furiously beating bowl after bowl of eggs to fulfill the counter endless string of orders. That's another thing. During the whole half hour we dined at a table, things never quieted. As soon as a table cleared, someone else would grab it right away. Over the years, I've found that when in doubt, it's best to follow the crowds. On most Saturday mornings, it seems this is the place where all the crowds in Ridgefield Park are congregating. This breakfast spot is as local as it gets. As a lover of small business, I can't tell you secretly happy I get to see lines at the door here while the Dunkin Donuts across the street languishes.

Java Day Cafe came up and it was really close to both of us so we decided to come here. The place is nestled in a small strip mall with other stablishments so luckily that means there's ample parking. There's also a fair amount of seating. You order at the counter and let them know if you want to take your food to go or if you'd like to dine-in. I was pretty hungry coming off a 12-hour shift so I got the Hungryman sandwich with a hash brown on the side. They have a few options as far as French toast goes and my girlfriend decided on Nutella stuffed. Our food came out rather quickly considering how busy they seemed to be. A few other parties were dining in and a good amount of people picked up takeout. My sandwich was much bigger than I anticipated but it was delicious. The various meats brought the saltiness and savory flavor I was looking for and it all paired well with the eggs and cheese. The bread it was served in had a nice crunch to it which is always appreciated. The sandwich was great but the next time I get it I have to add the SPK (salt, pepper, ketchup for you non-Jerseyans). I also tried some of my girlfriends French toast. It looked really good and I think I saw them take a picture before bringing it to our table. I'm not mad at that, as a Yelper I'm a firm follower of phone-eats-first! The French toast was delicious. It wasn't overly sweet and the bread had the all-important crunch. Walnuts also added good texture to everything. I think the only thing stopping me from rating this place 5-stars is the price. It's definitely on the pricier side. My girlfriend and I got coffees with our food and everything came out to a few bucks short of $50. Nevertheless, a very solid breakfast spot. I could see myself coming back. I found it weird that they have such nice plates but they only have plastic utensils. Not a knock on them, just a quirky thing I noticed.

We may have been seated earlier, but I don't recall exactly when we started waiting in line.
