Aaron Smay and Riva Ridge Reality left me in an unheated house all winter and told me per the lease no space heaters. They knew from the day I moved in there was water damage and staining showing this yet after multiple complaints did nothing. The entire place had moisture readings of 99% moisture in my walls. I got sick and ended up in the ER from mold exposure and they have done nothing to fix the situation or help me. I chose to leave the apartment before the lease because of all these issues alongside with many other maintenance issues including not having a secure entry in the house. I lost all my things to the mold. Still dealing with sickness. Having to move and start all over when I didn't even get a year there. Terrible company and the worst apartment rental experience I have ever ever encountered. We have had such a great experience with Aishel realty. Their Lawrenceville apartments are well…read moremaintained, clean, safe, and affordable. We really lucked out finding a 2 bedroom apartment in our building. We have lived here for 3 years now and love the parking, central air, laundry, gym, and secure front door. Any time we have an issue (usually our heater or air conditioner not kicking on), the maintenance person Rick fixes it immediately. Rick is the best!! He is so nice and patient, and really cares about the tenants. All of the maintenance guys are friendly and always say hi when passing by. Our refrigerator broke last year, and they ordered a new one and installed it just a few days later. I love that the management is responsive if you have an issue. Some apartments will never get back to you, but we have never had that problem here. We originally rented our apartment from Jeff, but the new manager is Nina. She is great too. The staircases and laundry room are cleaned every week, and there are nice flowers and potted plants out front in the Summer. I have no complaints about these apartments! It's also easy to pay rent on their online portal.

At first tour, the units look great because they paint over foundation issues such as cracks in the ceiling. When you move in, you'll find that the doors are often painted over so that they cannot properly close and outlets are also painted over. If they come in to fix windows, they'll instead break more... That is if maintenance ever shows up and, trust me, they won't until you hound management for weeks. There is also a theft issue within their units. Instead of putting a camera in the lobby for everyone's safety, their great solution was to put a table + trash can in the lobby and tell tenants to get their packages delivered to work. Mind you, we are in the middle of a pandemic and most people are either working from home or out of work entirely. Their solution was entirely out of touch. Noise complaints are entirely ignored. Also expect the boiler to break every winter and go without heat for several days as well as faulty radiators. There's a reason the rent here is so cheap and it's for a reason. It's disgusting. Google "Forward Management Pittsburgh" for even more horror stories. Do yourself a favor and do not rent from them.
