So many people enjoying music and playing instruments. The selection of guitars and amps was off the hook. Drums, sheet music, accessories and everything in between. They even have areas for instrument repair and music lessons. Everyone seemed like they were happy and really enjoying being in the store. It's clearly a place people like to hang out. A social center of sorts. I liked the fact they had armed security in the parking lot and inside the front door. There simply can't be too much security these days. The parking lot was simple and wee maintained. The staff was friendly bordering on perky. Thumbs up for Guitar Center.

The drum selection from sets, cymbals (especially cymbals), sticks, etc are the best here. They also have an isolated drum room with a sick DW kit with a bunch of cymbals. Please be mindful of others though when playing the kit in there and don't be obnoxious/play for a long period non stop especially if others are clearly trying to play. The icing on the cake is Jacob who is super knowledgeable about all things drums and will make sure to take care of you. I would drive out of my way just to buy from him.

I'm pretty sure they sell Fanta Orange, which equals Tiffany being a big fan. I love that stuff along with Welch's Grape. However, I drank wine since it was Friday and wine is like scissors over Fanta's paper. The actors rotate every other night and they come from schools across the country. Some of them had voices that made me think they should be on a very famously known stage in the opera world. Others were kind of hard to hear, but eh, they are students. Overall I really enjoyed it, but that may be because they have a translator screen above the stage that lets you know what they hell is going on when you can quite figure it out based on actions alone. **Disclosure: I am in no way a professional opera critic as this was the very first I've attended.

You can also see where the old pick guard was and when you lay the old pickguard on top of the new they are not the same size. First time I've came here and I came because of all of the reviews. I need to have tuners replaced. I won't have them do it. It cost $410. I also failed to mention that when they repaired the cracked bridge, they put in new pins and kept the originals. That is on me for not noticing and asking about them. I don't play and I inherited this guitar from an old friend who just passed away. They did leave me the old original pick guard. I am now going to have the guitar completely refurbished.

The weird part was that whenever I changed one of those strings, the new one would suddenly respond much more easily... and then the other one would start having the same issue. It kept switching back and forth and was driving me crazy. It turned out the bridge was crooked. My untrained eyes couldn't really tell so I didn't think that was the problem. Von carefully adjusted it and also shared some great stories from his years in the business, including working with Isaac Stern. That combination of skill and genuine care meant a lot. Really grateful. Prior to this, I also had my bows rehaired here and their pricing is fairly reasonable. If you're in the Denver area and need violin work done right, this is the place.

Derek at Von's saw the the post was too short, I needed a new bridge. I was hesitant. But the difference is night and day. Derek also repaired a crack under the tailpiece and a seam repair. I'm virtually playing a whole new violin. So very happy with the experience I need a rehair next, and to keep everything humidified properly so it remains a beautiful violin. Warning: You had better make SURE you're going to like what you buy...otherwise there's a restocking fee as a percent of your purchase!! I tried out a cymbal that sounded great in the store, but didn't end up working with my kit at home -- a pretty common thing when you're talking about something so personal and unique sounding as a cymbal. Tried to return it 3 days later and was threatened with a 10% restocking fee (on a $400 cymbal!). They said it was to cover their credit card fee for the original swipe. I was offered a check instead at just 4% fee. Look, I love having an alternative to Guitar Center, and their inventory is actually better. I also understand the cost of a solo shop to compete. But to charge me to return something completely negates all the pros. Credit card fees are part of the cost of doing business, not something to recoup from a customer. I won't return, which is their loss of a customer that is obviously willing to lay down some cash - now and in the future. Such a bummer. read more

I went into Rupp's and asked them about finding a very specific drum set in an exotic finish. They only made a few of these sets for the US. I really didn't expect them to find it, but thought I'd ask. They got on the phone with Tama and had a dude dig around in the warehouse in Japan to find the last one they had left. It was shipped here very quickly for free. Alex worked with me on the price and I got excellent customer service from some of the staff as well (Dan, Evan, etc.). Rupp's is a cool place run by actual drummers. There aren't many places you can go and try out a high end Meinl cymbal or a rare vintage kit, so this place is worth supporting. Further, there appears to be an excellent community of drummers both working there and shopping. It's a great place to network and connect with other drummers. read more

Fantastic experience multiple times coming to this store! They have a ton of equipment at the same prices you can find online, but the difference is that you get to try it before you buy it here. They even have some used stuff to get on the cheap. In addition to helping me find the product I needed, Dan helped me understand how it would work with my pre-existing equipment and even helped tune up my double-pedal, neither of which I had bought from their store. I've found everyone there to be very friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help in any way they can. Will definitely be back! read more

The sales staff is extremely knowledgeable and also great at providing options. I found the pricing to be very reasonable or at least comparable to what I was seeing online. This store is a throwback, to the days before Wall Street marginalized the music instrument industry. Coming from back east, this is the kind of drum shop you would only find in NYC, Nashville or Chicago. read more

I love this store its every drummers heavenly place, but just don't send your cymbals back for warranty through them.. They told me i would have my brand new cymbal which was covered %100 by warranty back in 2 to 3 weeks at the most.. I have now been waiting upwards of 7 weeks right now.. They only thing they can say to me is try back tomorrow... read more
