QC was horrible oil fill left loose didn't bother to check air pressure in tires they got mud on tires and didn't bother to wash it off mechanic told her blades were fine ( I took them off and had them sharpened for her because they were dull) then charged her 5 hrs for maybe 2 hrs of half assed work . What has happened to customer service and these businesses thinking this is remotely acceptable. Hope your out of business soon with a valuable lesson learned

James River Equipment was our answer and they've opened a store in Newton! Purchased our first subcompact tractor from Tim Conn. we had stopped in one day not realizing they had not opened yet. Mr. Tim took his time and showed us the tractor we believed would be a good fit for the size of property and what we needed from it. When they finally did open, we were in there buying the little tractor and implements. We've had to work with Mr. Larry and the other young man for bits and pieces at the parts counter. I can honestly say, they don't turn their backs because you're a female. You don't need to walk in with a male to buy a tractor or get parts. We were actually treated with far more respect than a lot of the auto dealers in the county. JRE in Newton has gone the extra mile in customer service, honesty and integrity from the Store Manager (Tim Conn) to the parts/sales desk on out to the mechanics. It's amazing a business would be so respectful and honest. We are enjoying our new little tractor very much, thanks to the employees at JRE Newton. They work extremely well as a team. I took my zero turn Gravely in for a no-start issue resulting from a bad starter. The technician…read morewas supposed to replace the starter, check electrical wiring, and adjust/fix wheels/steering. Instead, the technician adjusted the intake and exhaust valves without my permission or knowledge. I paid around $165 and within 30 minutes my mower was not running at all. I had no idea that the valve adjustments that the technician did might be responsible for the destruction of my engine. I did know that my engine had never leaked oil or ever run so rough as it did after he did the valve adjustment. I took the mower back to the shop to which the technician acted very defensive and told me without actually looking at anything that I had a bad camshaft and wanted me to buy an engine from them for $400. I declined the suggestion to buy their $400 engine because my father-in-law already had a zero turn engine he was willing to sell me for much less that was in great condition. I took the engine to the technician to ensure it would replace my engine that was not running anymore and was told by technician Chris that he could install a replacement engine on my zero turn mower for an hour labor which is $70 and that he would use the parts off my old engine if needed such as throttle cable. I agreed. About two weeks later I received a phone call from Chris stating that he tried to call me earlier that day but could not reach me. I was shocked to hear that he took it upon himself to do unauthorized repairs and install parts which we never discussed and he never told me I needed. I later received a voicemail that my total bill was $361.50. I am going to talk in person with them Monday. I'll update this post after I get my mower, but I think I'm done doing business here. If you can't trust a technician's word and expertise on labor for a repair, and he does not have the professionalism to get your permission before modifying your property, and still expects you to pay for his lack of knowledge and competency when giving a quote and/or performing repairs, what else can be said?
