Rural king is one of my favorite stores, and it has been for as long as I can remember. Just this week I bought a jar of the pickled jalapeno hard boiled eggs and made egg salad with them. My husband went to buy some wire cable. An employee walked by, and instead of stopping to help, told him someone would be coming soon to help him. This same employee walked by pushing a cart two more times and never stopped and still no one had come to help. I walked around the whole store and saw no employees on the floor anywhere. After making a complete loop, I finally found a gentleman back in the battery section and asked if he could help (which he immediately did.) We frequent the Morgan Avenue store often. The management changed in the last 6- 8 weeks. I give her a rank of zero in the customer service department. She doesn't follow through with complaints and wouldn't even call me back when she told me she would. It seems as though the store is understaffed. They have a few employees who have been there for years and are friendly and helpful. I'm not sure what is going on, but it's not good. read more

The price of your items it's a good deal some of it but the popcorn and the stuff is pretty good

Very bad service the cashier No. 97097 is very rude, very races, and prejudice.... She wants to charge me for helping me get the battery out of my car and bring it to the store so I could buy a new one. I return the new battery because she refuse to give me credit for the old battery which you called that a core charges she claim that she will pay the amount of the core to the service man that came out to help. this is the most disgusting excuse I ever witness If you go to Auto Zone or any other auto part store they will come outside take the old battery out for you and install the new one without any extra charges, This cashier will give all your customers a bad idea and that will hurt your business in the long run read more

If you're looking to find some potatoes, some boots, some holiday décor, horse feed, and a lawn mower, you've found the place to be. This is like Walmart meets Home Depot, meets the Piggly Wiggly, and there's no real catch-all to describe it except that if you're looking for something 'rural,' then you've truly found your king. I could easily spend hours here, even though the location isn't ginormous by any stretch of the imagination. However, it is big enough to light your imagination, and remind you of all the things you didn't even know you wanted. The biggest downside, however, as previously mentioned by other Yelpers, is the checkout line. You will probably spend about as much time in line as you did wandering the entire locale. BUT, you get what you're looking for, and at a pretty solid price! read more

The WORSE for curbside. Received an email that my order was ready. I get here and they tell me one of the items is unavailable. I know it was, because I saw them in the store, but in the wrong location. He went back in and came back out 10 minutes later, item in hand. While he was in there, I inspected the other items and noticed one was the wrong size. Showed it to him and he said he'd go back in and look for it. After 15 more minutes, he returned...empty handed. He said it showed 3 in stock, but also said "we must be out because I can't find them." I asked if I could go in and look, which he replied, sure. Within 1 minute, I found and acceptable replacement. Without a doubt, worse experience with curbside pick-up. Will NEVER shop that way again at this store. This all started because an employee was too lazy to get up and go look for these while I was in the store. He said "if you can't find it, we don't have it." Rural King customers don't seem like the Yelping type so this review will probably go unread. Nevertheless some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I'd go into the details except I'm blinded by rage. read more

Has a good selection and variety of goods. Affordable prices. Good place to find outdoor items other places in Evansville do not carry.

Prices are good in this store, but check out is a nightmare. Got bumped out of two separate lines after waiting in each - was told to move to another line because lines were closing. Turns out despite at least ten people waiting to check out, they decided to just keep one line open. I decided it wasn't worth it and just put my stuff down and left. It was not anywhere near closing time so that wasn't the issue. Store either needs to hire more people or let cashiers know that closing lines down at the busiest times, is probably not wise. read more
