When you are on a little road trip and need to stop for a bite to eat and use the facilities, where do you stop? A rest area? Hardly. A gas station? I think not. Fast food? Pshaw! Give up? I am sure you have guessed it by now (dear lord, I would hope so. This is a Costco review, after all. If you are confused already, let me quote Rob Reiner's mom and say: "I'll have what she's having") Yep, you guessed it! Costco. The unexpected hero of this road trip pitstop. After almost 3 hours of driving, it was time for a much-needed break. I pulled off onto a promising exit, yet nothing looked like a great option to meet my urgent necessities. Then, gleaming like an oasis in the desert, I saw it: The Evansville Costco. Upon first glance, I could tell this Costco was fresh and new and would probably be a great experience. The outside of the building, with its brick and stone facade looked both high quality and also inviting. I must admit that this review is incomplete, as I simply visited two very important areas of the store: the restroom and the food court. Yet, I could easily see the rest of the building and I'm sure this Costco doesn't disappoint. The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. After that relieving experience, I made my way to the food counter for a tasty all-beef hotdog combo. With an empty bladder and a full stomach, I was ready to get back on the road. I have probably been in or through Evansville only once or twice in my life. While I have been through Southern Indiana many, many times on drives to Florida, I always take I-65 and haven't traveled far enough Southwest to drive through Evansville. But since Indiana finished a large, new section of I-69, this was the best way to travel to visit a buddy who moved down to Tennessee. If you ever find yourself traveling down 69 on your way through Evansville and you need a nice place to take a break, may I humbly suggest the most beautiful Costco I've ever seen! Maybe pick up a rotisserie chicken for the road. read more

I have been a member for over 20 years, and I do like this location, I did notice today at the food court I waited behind two customers buying food and paying with cash and moving like molasse, neither was a member of Costco. As they both were talking with each other and stated the same. I asked a worker as I left if a membership was required and a worker stated at this time it was not required although Online on the Costco official website states clearly a membership is required to buy food at the food court, I don't think it's right that I a member has to wait 10 mins for two nonmembers to buy food when they should not even be there Why do I pay for a membership if you can but items without one? read more

Great service and crisis the staff is really friendly. Will value your membership. They greet you in and out and take excellent care of you and ask if you needed anything the gas was great $3.29 a gallon store is very clean. well kept any clutter in the aisles variety of food samples as well. read more

Rotisserie chicken is reasonably priced, bottled water, toilet paper , grapes and many other things.

This is a very nice Costco location. It is very clean and well arranged. Employees were readily available throughout the store. I frequently work in Evansville, and I enjoy stopping in Costco when I am here. It is not nearly as crowded as the location close to my home, and there are often new products here that my Costco location doesn't carry. This location has a very nice display of appliances, more variety than most of the locations where I have shopped. Checkout was very fast today, no wait at all. read more

I love Costco. I just wish there was one closer! I get my eggs there and allergy meds. They have great deal on shoes and clothing. I always buy ground beef there. The price is great! They take merchandise back if you're not happy with it. I have only had to return once (allergy medicine) because it didn't work for me. This was very easy! read more

went to Costco yesterday. I got diapers and milk. There was a line to get out (checking receipts and carts for theft) there was a couple carts in front of me full of stuff so I can imagine checking them for theft. But I had 2 items... so I went around to leave and the employee started yelling at me to stop so he could "spot check" my cart. I was like "bro i have 2 items get over yourself " he proceeded to stop checking the previous cart for theft and ran over to another employee screaming about how I was leaving with my 2 items without being checked... so I have to put up with feeling like a thief to save $10 on 2 items?? I visit Costco on a regular basis and I like the selection and staff. A while ago I chatted with a Customer Service advisor by the name of Grayson who was, I must say extremely helpful in every way, he took his time to explain the returns process which I found to be exceptional and yesterday (06/11/23) I was there, picked up some items then spotted a washing machine at a very good price, couldn't find anyone and then there was Grayson this time on a stand about signing up for their Visa card. Oh my goodness this is my favorite Costco ever! Amazing booze selection and so many Asian options (I love Asian food!) I also love how this location does the roadshows for new products. I'm obsessed with the bitchin' sauce and was so happy to see the new flavors in small containers. I also grabbed the g2g bars which are so good they're basically dessert. I did notice they were still there so I'm hoping they're keeping those around. I also like that they had a relatively normal size container of half and half instead of a giant container. I love the bagged salad options here and so much more! The line moves fast, the staff is friendly, and everything is well stocked. Great Costco! read more

As a resident of South Central Kentucky, there are closer locations to me than this one, but I choose to come here because it is much nicer than the others in Louisville or Nashville. I have received nothing less than excellent service, spotlessly clean and a great selection (some would say better than a few other locations). While not as large and accommodating as what I shopped in California and Washington, I am truly happy with the store. read more

Coming from the west coast, Costco was the norm for me, so not having one here for the 6 years I've lived here was heartbreaking - UNTIL NOW! What's not to love about Costco?? And honestly I would give 4 stars to all the Costco's back home, but the reason this one gets 5 stars is because no matter what day or hour I go, this place is in and out - seamless shopping! It's crazy! Most Costco shopping is like playing bumper cars and waiting in line forEVER to check out (mind you, the end result is always great), but this location is never TOO busy, the parking isn't awful, and you don't have to wait in line forever to check out. In fact, they now have self-check out lines, which are a breeze for those of us that don't mind them! They always have everything you want, plus everything you didn't know you needed! Lol! We've discovered some great essentials by walking slow down every lane and doing some random food tastings. But do yourself a favor, don't do too many food tastings and save your appetite for a must eat $1.50 hot dog/soda combo, a giant slice of pizza pie, or a very berry ice cream. The food at the food court is FANtastic and a cheap way to feed the fam while you're out and about. Know before you go: you can actually purchase liquor AND eat at the food court without a membership - that, in itself, is a reason to go! P.S. If you buy the liquor - stick to the Kirkland brands. They're outstanding and made by some top brands - AND THEY'RE CHEAP! For example - it's rumored that the Kirkland Vodka is bottled by Grey Goose, priced at $12.79 (i think).
