We were very fortunate to get short lines with no wait on a Saturday night. Family of 5 in the 3 hours we were able to play a game of bowling, play a game of mini golf, laser tag, rock climbing, roller skates and used the go karts 5 or more times. Coming on a Saturday is an absolute no-go. Employees are apathetic teenagers with no social skills and no sense of customer service. Ordering food at the Rushtaurant is a joke. Expect to wait 30+ minutes for your poorly reheated food, and not be able to hear the order number when it's called due to the volume of the sound system. When there are delays, the employees don't inform you of the wait time, apologize for the wait, or offer any solutions. Poor seating, everything is sticky, dirty, and stained. I visited this establishment today to celebrate my grandson's birthday, and overall, we had an excellent experience. Waiver Tip: You do have to fill out a waiver, but TIP #1 -- you don't need to fill it out every time. Just save a screenshot of your completed waiver for future visits. Activities We Enjoyed: We participated in just about everything: * Skating * Bowling * Bumper Cars * Arcade Games * Laser Tag * Rock Climbing * Go-Karts * Miniature Golf TIP #2 -- If you're planning to spend the day there, go for the all-day pass. It's only $35 and includes access to all these activities. That's a great price for a full day of fun! Areas for Improvement: Skating: It would be helpful to have "skate walkers" available for younger kids or anyone who's new or out of practice. There's no railing along the rink, and I did take a tumble -- but I'm a big girl and can handle it! Still, a little extra support would go a long way. Laser Tag: The game was fun, but my blaster didn't seem to work half the time. It wasn't just me -- several people didn't realize you need both hands on the weapon to shoot. While it tells you to use both hands, it's not very clear where your hands should go. Clearer instructions and a brief tutorial from staff would help a lot. Also, it would be great if they announced or displayed your equipment name or ID after the game so you know your ranking and performance. Mini Golf: It was hard to see the actual holes -- TIP #3 -- the course really needs bright orange flags to mark each hole. Also, if you're someone who likes to keep score, the scorecard should show the par for each hole to make it easier. Food & Drink: We grabbed lunch there -- I had nachos, and the kids had fries. Everyone was happy with their food. TIP #4 -- You get one free drink refill, and they mark your cup with an X once you've used it. If you're looking for a reasonably priced option for a birthday party the Rush Funplex is a good one. It wasn't the smoothest experience but overall it was a good one. Pros: good availability, decent pizza and cheese sticks, lots of entertainment options for all ages. They bring food you order to your room and are friendly. Cons: birthday rooms were plain and could use some themes. They are not gluten free friendly and will not allow outside food other than a cake even for dietary restrictions other than a baggie of snacks. The weekends are very busy so we spent most of our time standing in line for cards, food, soda refills, etc. you can't order food from your room host and have time wait in line. The room host said we got one free wristband pass with the room so we spent 10 minutes in line for it just to find out that's not the case and there was a lot of confusion around how to find our room for food delivery since there were no room numbers. read more

My friends and I recently spent the day at The Rush Fun Plex, and while we did have fun, the experience was definitely a mix of highs and lows. There's so much potential here, and with some attention to detail and better management, this place could really be amazing. First, a quick tip about the waiver: you only need to fill it out once! Just snap a screenshot of your completed waiver and reuse it on future visits to save time and avoid repeating the process. That little hack helped us avoid unnecessary hassle. We tried nearly everything they had to offer -- bowling, bumper cars, arcade games, laser tag, rock climbing, go-karts, and miniature golf. The variety of activities was impressive, and we were excited to jump in and enjoy them all. The arcade was particularly fun, with a great mix of classic and newer games that kept us entertained for quite a while. Unfortunately, there were a few things that took away from the overall experience. The skates smelled really bad, which made skating much less enjoyable than it could have been. The laser tag was another disappointment. My laser gun malfunctioned several times and failed to respond properly. On top of that, there was no scoreboard or any way to track who won or what place you came in, which really took away from the competitive fun that laser tag is supposed to have. On the positive side, the food and snacks were surprisingly good. Everyone in our group loved the quality and taste, and the food provided a welcome break between activities. It was definitely one of the highlights of our visit. One major drawback was the lack of visible management and customer engagement. Throughout our visit, it felt like there was no one in charge walking around or checking in on guests to make sure everything was running smoothly. A place this busy, especially with so many kids and families, really needs a manager or staff member actively supervising and supporting both employees and customers. Some of the staff seemed overwhelmed or disengaged, and the overall energy and customer service could definitely be improved. Despite these issues, we still enjoyed our time and made some great memories. However, this is one of those places that is almost great but needs more structure, better maintenance, and greater focus on the customer experience to reach its full potential. I would recommend it for the variety of activities and the solid food options, but with the caveat that you shouldn't expect everything to run perfectly or smoothly. I love the rush funplex. Let me refries that, I loved the rush funplex. Me and my family loved coming here to bowl, mini golf, play arcades, go cart, and most importantly, jump in the foam pit. But this place has just gotten terrible. Arcades have gotten way too expensive, and you can't flip in the foam pit. Also they got rid of some of the stuff in the foam pit that my kids loved the most. Please let kids flip in the foam pit and please bring back the tramp and the ladder that was in the foam pit. Please. read more

It doesn't seem reasonable to assume that all parents who drive their kids and their friends here also want to do the same activities. Trust me, usually, they don't. So why make it so darned painful for parents to chill while their kids play? I'd like to grab a coffee, find a comfortable seat and either chat with my wife, or do something on my laptop, be it Netflix or work. None of that is possible. Coffee? No. Wifi to watch a flic while you wait? Nah. A place to chat with friends--absolutely not! (in case the noise of the games and activities weren't loud enough, they pipe loud, meaningless noise into the seating area to ensure you have zero chance of having a convo without shouting. Then there are the waivers--an understandable document. However, why do you require me to complete it each time for the same child? When I mentioned it was on file from the last visit, the cashier said it's required each visit. Why? Other places figured out how to add that bit of info to our account info or profile, so why not ask any other business that uses waivers how they did it? It was a cold snowy day and we needed a place to take the kids to get some energy out and we ended up at The Rush. It doesn't look too big from the outside but boy is it huge on the inside. This place has so many awesome things to do under one roof for kids and adults of all ages! They have several lanes of bowling. Mini golf. Go karts. Bumper cars. Laser tag and lots of arcade games!!! The employees are working hard and trying to create a positive experience but the owners are absent and the "managers" are kids that are trying not to get yelled at and tired of hearing about everything wrong with the equipment and gimmick pricing. On the plus side, they did demolish the excess bowling lanes, move the laser tag and create a huge arcade space that is definitely not part of the $25-$30 pass price. Rush...more like, Hush...don't tell anyone about this place. The go karts are so slow I was lapped as if I was standing still. You just accept whatever place you start out in as the best you'll do. I've gone faster on a bicycle uphill. Bowling is just broken. We even changed lanes and still had problems with pins just dropping to the ground, not resetting correctly, or never even setting pins. Staff were kind and tried to help but there isn't anything they can do about poorly maintained equipment. Seeing as how their Yelp account is still unclaimed, I can tell that management doesn't care and likely won't fix these issues. Prove me wrong. read more

My family had a wonderful time at the Rush Fun Plex. I found out I am horrible at bowling, enjoy beating kids at go karts, and am the best Roller-skater in my family . The staff were great and the pizza was actually really good. Rory was incredibly nice and treated us very well. The establishment is very well-run, family oriented, and laid back; which I attribute to the management. I had the privilege of meeting Will (the manager) and could tell that he cared a lot for his employees. Great place to spend a Saturday with the family. read more

DANGEROUS and UNSAFE. They allowed a group of men to bring in alcohol slipped into other cups. Which aren't allowed. This group of men 5 total, followed to 14 and 15yr old into a stairwell and they jumped and beat up my two kids. They were on the ground and this group proceeded to stomp and kick them in the heads, face, backs and sides. My kids ran to the lobby to ask for help and 2 random mothers ( angels) were there to protect my kids and call the police. The employees did nothing. They didn't even ask my kids if they were ok. They sat there. They did nothing to protect or help. Not even when the police and ambulance showed up. When I asked for a refund ( because they literally earned the money over two days buy doing projects for people) the person at the desk said they weren't allowed in because they couldn't trust them. My kids who were jumped in a dark stairwell by men couldn't be trusted???? I also wasn't allowed in. I was given a business card and told to email to see what could be done. So I called Rush, the manager said he couldn't do anything and to email. He also didn't ask how they were or try to check on them. He put his head in the sand and acted like he didn't know anything. Families aren't safe. Kids aren't safe. Did I mention that a field trip of 200 students were there when the drunk man and his buddies beat my children?? read more

(Orem location) Badly organized, not safe, literally have a policy saying if your kid is there on go-carts attraction when another kid breaks the rules (even if they know it was not your kid) your kid is banned from gocarts all day too. (Not a cheap admission price to be doing that kind of teenager enforced arbitrary banning.) The first time I took my kids was a weekday and slow and they had fun. My son wanted to do his bday there so we took him and 6 kids - supervised by 5 adults. It was so ridiculous. There was zero employee monitoring or enforcement of safety rules In the foam pit. So kids were jumping on other kids from quit a ways up. I bought passes ($25 a pop) for my group and as I waited for all of the kids to arrive the manager approached and said he needed to hold them and put them on so each guest had to wait for the line to clear. But then he left so when I asked the desk attendant for our last two passes ($50 already paid for) she said she didn't know what to write so we needed to get another of the kids and show her. I asked if instead of interruptions to the kids' play she could ask the manager who took them and she said, "well he is too busy" - yeah ok but I paid and y'all took them so????? Also - this was unbelievable to me and I don't know if this is a corporate thing or just a made up rule by the Orem people that work there but 3 of the little girls at my sons party were on the go carts - they had waited near 25 min in line - and some other kids we don't know and not with us crashed their car into the wall like a minute into the ride (which from where I Stood seemed accidental) but the attendant yelled at all the kids in the course they had a strike. And she cleared the course. And she told my 3 girls they were banned for the day. I asked the manager for a written policy that states my kids can't use one of the attractions if they are they when other kids break rules and he said the y just had a rule. Then he said they cold take a 30 min break a d they were other things to do but these girls had waited for a lot of their time to get on and had done nothing wrong and I had paid a pretty penny to let them use all the attractions. It seems like they have young teens running the place who like the power of yelling and punishing and being in charge of arbitrary bans but don't care about safety in any real way. They were also really under staffed - one person most of the time alone at the desk to sell bands, and do bowling shoes, golf balls, etc you have to wait in line over and over , and not enough attendants for all the attractions, or to enforce actual safety rules. I also saw a mom go to the counter crying cause her kid was lost and she asked the desk for help and they said it wasn't their problem so I told her to stay there and keep looking and I would get security for her and I literally went to the very next store and said a little kid was lost and they paged security right away. At first Paige was very accommodating, because she said she can see how confusing this was and was apologizing for the hassle. Even so, she gave me a pen and paper to keep track of all of my guest arcade card amounts. I could tell this was about to be an huge inconvenience for me, because I've already had people show up to play before we do cake and food at 6:00pm. Fast forward again, I am now running into my party room time frame and I'm running around trying to accommodate my guests and help with their arcade card purchases. Paige finds me to tell me that I will have to have all of my guest order food at the same time. So then I had to run around finding everyone (approximately 35 people) to let them know to come order food at the café. Paige was the one taking orders and she seemed to be getting very flustered. The line was also building up at the café with other people that were at the venue, so my guests started to leave the area because it was not enough room for us and the other families who were at Rush. Once my guests were done ordering, Paige tells me that I need to have everyone who is paying come to the front. Instead of going to find everyone again, I decided to make the purchase on my card. The total for food was $220.05. The food ran late and me and my guests are trying to do gifts and cake in this small timeframe that we have left. Eventually I told Paige that we have been very inconvenienced and that it's not fair that I would have to Rush in the room. Paige told me that there was no one else using the room after me and that we wouldn't need to worry about getting out. Fast forward to about 7:30pm, Paige comes in with Tori and Paige tells me that we have 5 more minutes... They were not nice about this unexpected warning either. So I started to clean up and let my guests know that we actually do need to hurry and get out of the room. My guests were trying to clean and pack up their food so they asked Paige for some boxes. Paige rolled her eyes every time anyone asked for anything and sometimes she wouldn't even respond. My guests are now out of the room and Paige came back in with another employee I hadn't seen yet. I asked Paige for their corporate manager's information. Paige responded that her name was Alyssa and rolled her eyes again and walked away. At that point, I told Paige that she is being very rude, that none of this is my fault, and that I don't appreciate this awful treatment. She responded that she isn't being rude and then the other employee walks up and sternly says "I'm a manager here, you can talk to me." I told him the same thing and explained that this entire experience is awful. He asked me what exactly has happened, so again, I explained all of the details. I found out that his name was Austin, and he seemed to understand the confusion and was apologetic for the issues I was having at my birthday party. However, he then explained that there was nothing that he could do, because he's not a "manager" but more of a shift-lead. He said that I could email info@therushfunplex.com and explain the issues (again), or that I could call on Monday between 9:00am and 4:00pm to speak with Alyssa. I let him know that I will be on a birthday trip on Monday and that I would plan to email. From there, I decided to pay for the arcade cards like I did with the food, because some of my guests had to leave and I didn't want to burden them anymore. That total was over another $200. Fast forward to me writing this review, I have had to contact certain friends for payment (which is embarrassing and inconvenient), and I also have had to go through this $220 food receipt and try to remember who ordered what. I have spent more time writing this review and would be expected to email the manager again. I'm not going to waste even more of my time since it seems that no one is taking accountability at that company, but I definitely wanted people to know about my experience before they decided to book a party room at The Rush Funplex. Garbage customer service.The wife and I took our two kids there (3 years old) to bowl. Asked the front desk attendant if the unlimited pass for 3 hours would be worth it for our two younger kids. She said yes that every attraction they would be able to enjoy. Turns out that was completely false. We bowled, everything was fine with that. Then we go to bumper cars. The attendant there tells me they only have one small child seat. The place was fairly empty and we were the only ones in line. I guess they expected us to take turns playing bumper cars alone. Didn't make any sense to us so we went to the kiddy carts. No one was there to run the ride as we waited for a while. Went back to the front desk and asked if we could refund the difference from the $25 unlimited pass and the single bowling $12. She said no all sales are final. I said ok fine can you just give me the difference on an arcade card so we could play some games. Still would not work with me. We left pretty angry and felt like there was zero customer service there. Honestly, the entire place is run by kids that really don't seem to care about a persons experience. It's not hard to be a reasonable business and offer some upfront advice and/or offer some kind of compensation for a bad experience. We will never be giving our money to this business again which obviously is not a huge threat. But we also wanted to warn any other families with younger kids that this place is not worth it. read more

Great place. Love the ambiance, they're so friendly and they constantly meet my needs

Normally, $24 for a very-lightly-topped and average-tasting chicken-BBQ pizza and a pitcher of root beer, hit-and-miss air conditioning, and the often-low-care-and-attention of teenaged staff wouldn't earn The Rush more than two or three stars from me -- but we've found the effort they make to give back to the community through various free and discounted days helps make up. (We attended Teachers Appreciation Day today which was free admission for teachers and their families.) The staff was surprisingly much more well-trained and friendly than not--so kudos for that. We like their bowling lanes for having a choice between the regular lighted and night-glow/black light versions. And we've been here before when the go-karts circulated patrons thru very slowly, but today they were on top of their game. There are various multi-activity centers (eg, Boondocks, G-Force, Toad's) locally to choose for things like laser tag, electric go-karts, bowling, climbing walls, roller-skating, miniature golf, etc., but we think The Rush is as good a choice as any. And given that many local cities often put their budgets toward pools and splash pads, I think it's nice to see Syracuse convert their old pool into this multi-activity center. read more

The rush would have zero stars but my kids had a decent time. We weren't sure if we wanted to do 3 hours or the unlimited day. The price difference for our family of 5 would have been $25. I asked if we got to the 3rd hour and weren't ready to leave if we could pay the difference and upgrade. The managers response was it would be the difference plus $3 for a new paper wristband. I asked if she was serious they would charge 3 dollars per wristband for upgrading she responded yes.. because they have to circle the time. Second, they had 1 person working the go karts and the poor kid had a boot and was having to push these go karts back into place. He struggled to keep up with the line and the amount of people that wanted to ride.. understandably.. he needed help. Third, the foam pit, rock wall, skating, bumper cars and the smaller kids go garts area was absolutely FREEZING. When I asked if a heater could be turned on they replied.. no this is just how it is.. it's always freezing. Basically we paid $160 for a mediocre experience. For the amount we paid we should at least be warm while watching our kids play. I regret coming here, and will never be coming back. read more

Customer service is extremely poor here. You think you could come here to have fun but then they shut it all down. They kicked us out of go carting because of others people's actions and not ours. The worker there said we know it wasn't you bumping the other karts but you can't come back. I then asked for his manager and the manager over the radio said they where busy. My husband and I took our four daughters, for our oldest daughter's birthday, on a Monday around noon, pretty empty, some of the games were down (air hockey, one of our favorites was down) played laser tag ( two of the vests were not working) when we told 2 different workers, they ignored us! We loved the go carts, but three rounds and the fun was over! I feel like it's over priced and a little complicated to add on each activity! All the employees are dead inside, no smiles, don't talk to you, very short and almost rude! If you work at a kids fun plex, have employees that at least know how to smile and can be nice to the kids!! read more

Went to our first activity, bumper cars, and my boyfriend and his daughter went in and as I was walking in, the ride attendant immediately closed the door on me and said "we only have 4 cars". Awesome Place! Me and my family love the rush. There are so many fun activities for all ages! 25$ dollars for 3 hours is really not bad considering how amazing and fun the rush is! The go karts are my absolute favorite part, they go so fast and bring me joy riding them. It does get a little busy on weekends but the go kart line does not take long, there is usually not a line for laser tag the foam pit and mini golf. I ove the rush! read more

I was invited to this complex through my work and thought it best to write a review for others. This is an impressive place for all ages particulary children. However, I have some things to share that all should know about before going. If you go bowling be prepared to get black sooty oil on your hands when using any of their bowling balls. Our group had to use oodles of napkins to clean the balls to help mitigate transferring oil to our hands but it didn't help much and the napkins turned black. I had to go to the bathroom to wash my hands and you wouldn't believe how black the soapy water was. Something is up with their ball retrieving machinery because all the balls where filthy and oily. Another thing I noticed is the further back you went to the end of the building, meaning the roller rink, the colder it got. It was so cold in those play areas you could hang meat! I had to leave because the wife and I were FREEZING! What the heck is up with that? These two major things were a huge setback for us. I really wanted to roller skate with the wife and bowl without freezing or getting oily dirty hands. Get these issues fixed and we will be back. read more
