It's been a long time since I've been in this cute, little bar with live entertainment inside the Golden Nugget. I came in here the other night as it was a stop on a bar crawl I was doing. There was a cute, sexy lady on stage singing away. She was great, nice to look @, full of energy & had a great voice. She was singing with a guy who wasn't too bad himself. There was a good crowd but it was mostly the people that were participating in the bar crawl I was in so it probably would of kinda been dead if it wasn't for all of us. I didn't go to the bar as I had walked in with a drink already that I was still working on but did see that there were a lot of people around the bar waiting to order drinks & the bartenders seemed a little slow. I definitely would love to stop in here again on a night when there is some live entertainment. It was nice & cozy bar! read more

When I have guest in town I like to take them to the Rush lounge to see Cool Change. Hands down one of the best bands in Vegas. There musicianship is outstanding and I can count on them to provide good entertainment. I wish they played more often there. After a day of work, we were looking for a place to unwind, and boy was this the best place for that! Environment- This place had live music going, and it was so pleasant to listen to! Very clean, and our waitress made her rounds frequently. Bar- I am not much of a drinker, I tend to stay with Apple Orchards and Moscato wine..both of which this lounge did not have. I ended up drinking Cabernet wine, which was not really what I like but it was okay. Would have given more stars if it had what I like. Overall I would still go back, it was a good time! read more

Michael the bartender on Tuesday night is completely rude! I've never seen someone in the hospitality industry be so unwelcoming . I went in the lounge to meet a girlfriend and before I could even order a beverage he was telling me I had leave or order a drink. I don't appreciate being harassed over sitting at one of the many open booths or being rushed! Never will I step foot in that lounge again. SUNDAY NIGHT FUN I swung on in here while walking back to my room. I couldn't resist because of the lively country music that was coming out of this lounge. Vegas is full of entertainers and the band on this stage did not disappoint. It was a country band and they were playing very lively tunes. It probably helped that there was a girls weekend birthday party and they were all sporting wigs. The main guy on guitar was flirting away with them even doing a funny version of happy birthday. He was really working the ladies. I didn't stick around long enough to see if he scored. The rest of the band consisted of a drummer who did some great vocals. Look out Phil Collins this guy can sing. A lady on piano who was very talented with amazing vocals. I did find it weird that she was playing piano with a pair of red gloves on. I'm not sure why but she didn't miss a note. I really loved the fiddle guy but the stage was so small he had to stand near a blackjack table. Yes there are three gambling tables inside this tiny little lounge. You can not get away from gaming at this casino. So if your looking for a place to see some live music then I highly recommend this place. You will be kicking back and throwing your boots in the air not realizing it is way past your bed time. This is a bar inside the Golden Nugget casino. We arrived right after a band finished and before a new one began playing. It's a very small bar, so if there's music, it's loud. But we weren't there for music. Kudos to Boris the bartender. I asked him to surprise me and expected him to make me an existing drink. But no. He asked if I wanted sweet or dry and if I preferred vodka or tequila. Then he INVENTED a drink for me! It had tequila, pineapple juice, lime, and blue curacao (I'm probably forgetting something). It was yummy and as strong as 3 drinks-- no joke. My husband had a rum and coke and his was also very strong. read more

Your customer service level has depleted greatly since having Sean as your Director of Entertainment in charge and he treats repeat customers like shit and kicks them out after they voiced their opinion on one of his posts on FB in the past about not taking care of repeat dedicated customers that for the past 3 years threw their bday party there and promoted for the venue for free when there are PLENTY of other places in this city to spend your money on your overpriced drinks. He asked "Why do you come here?" TO SPEND MONEY! Why else was my reply.......... Then he proceeded to say, WE don't need your money....... What kind of manager says that to customers that bring business there and never cause trouble and bring friends and family there ALL THE TIME....... I will be addressing this further to someone at corporate level for the way he embarrassed me and threatened me in front of my friends and employees that I've known there for many years and ONLY go to support them and NOT HIM and I do tip generously to the staff there. Totally disappointed on my last visit there and will let EVERYONE who asks me about him and the venue how horrible that they too may be treated because of my personal experience and how he walks around all arrogant like he's better than everyone else and talks down to them. As a gift to my wife's Grandpa, who loves to play, we took my wife's grand parents to Stateline [Whiskey] for the weekend. Grandpa has great memories of Whiskey Pete's over the years. Now normally, the only thing I don't like about Vegas weekends is the Sunday drive home. This time, we decided to stay Sunday and leave Monday and what a great idea this was. We decided to take them up to Vegas for a tour. We had all decided that we would drive down the Strip but end up on Fremont Street, play a little and see what happens. We parked at the Golden Nugget and walked by the Tank and pool area which is incredible. We continue on through the hotel and just before we get to Fremont we hear the band at Rush. We have plenty of time so Grandma and I sit down and listen to Wolf Creek while my wife and her Grandpa go out gambling. Did I mention he is 92! So a couple of hours and beers later, they come in and join us. I tell everyone that we should go see Fremont. Catch one of the shows on the amazing screen that is the roof but they're all more interested in watching the band and having some drinks. In Vegas you have to worry, some of the clubs can get very pricey [once paid over $70 for three Grey Goose tonics]. This place is not like that at all. Prices are very fair with many options under $10 and a few specialty drinks just over the $10 mark. The waitress, on top of being very cute, is very attentive and has a great personality. The crowd was awesome and we got to meet some crazy Oklahoma girls and their husbands. They were very fun as was most of the crowd but I guess that can be random. After the last set, we went to breakfast and back to Whiskey Pete's. I hope the family doesn't read this but we didn't get home until after the sun came up. Grandparents had a great time, we had a great time BUT WE NEVER MADE THE LAST 50 FEET TO FREMONT!!!! Sleeep! read more

What to say but.... We went to watch a NBA game and we were educated on the fact that it is a "football" bar, but they would accommodate us by turning one TV on the basketball game. (And should I mention the owner of the casino is an owner of an NBA team.) After a shift change, in a bar that only had four customers, the new bartender and waitress seem to be more interested in chatting with each other then serving their customers. I walked up to the bar to order a drink and had to wait for them to finish looking at The waitresses new Apple Watch. Then the night just went downhill from there. the bartender being such a dick, as to yell out to the bar how rude we were because we simply questioned why they were turning our one TV with NBA on it. read more

My friends and I came here on Saturday night to check out the Frankie Moreno Band. This lounge is fairly small, but they have very cool seating areas. Our service was friendly and prompt and the band was rockin the house! Drinks were strong (and plentiful!) We probably would not have know this lounge existed if we had not been invited by friends to view the band there. Now that I know about this place we will probably come back when we are downtown entertaining friends. If this was a review of the band alone it would be 5 starts. Rush Lounge is VERY lucky to have such amazing talent playing at their venue. The Frankie Moreno Band is like non other. SUCH TALENT! Rush could easily be a four star lounge in Vegas, but they really do not know what they are about ..... right now. Their decor and setting is super. The lounge is located off the casino floor in the Golden Nugget. They have a really good band playing - the Frankie Moreno Band. This band has a great sound and they work hard They are wasted by this lounge for the most part. The lounge has a nice circular bar, a set of tables to one side, an area of cushions that could be set up for bottle service on the other. . Then - on the opposite side of the room they have black jack tables set up..... and - A couple of guys actually playing ??? That is a bit much - all people have to do is got 50 feet into the casino area to play table games. I find them really out of place as couples are dancing and the band is cranking out an amzing sound. Rush - decide what you really want to be and go for it. This lounge does not have tp have a little of everything for everyone to be really great. This is almost a hidden gem located inside the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. It's a great place to chill out, grab something to drink, and just sort of hang out and plan your evening. It's closed during the day but opens up at 5 pm. Around 8 pm (or whenever the game is over) they usually have free live music, including some excellent jazz. The TVs are still on and surround the top portion of the bar. What I have found a little awkward though is that these are nearly impossible to see if you're actually sitting at the bar. You'd have to lean so far back in your chair that you'd likely fall backwards. Talk about falling off your barstool! Imagine explaining that one when you get back home. There are also nice tables and couches surrounding the area if you'd like to sit there. And then you can see the TVs. And of course you can enjoy the excellent music in both areas. And I should mention there are Blackjack tables in here as well. So if you really want to multitask, grab a drink, play Blackjack, listen to live music, and watch TV. All at once. Don't forget to tip the musicians and have them play a request for you. Just as a tradition, I always get them to play a Lionel Ritchie song for me. One time the sax player said he didn't know a Lionel Ritchie song so he'd play one from the Commodores (before Lionel went solo). Talk about improvisation! Love this place. read more

It was our wedding weekend and we were forced to use Rush Lounge as our entertainment since the night club in Golden Nugget was under construction. A VIP area was set up for us with bottle service to accommodate our 40+ guests. Bottle prices were reasonable and the band was amazing. The music was on fire and the members were very interactive with the audience. The only thing that went wrong (but not enough for me to downgrade the experience) the VIP hostess did not take my card info when we got there. So when my husband and I left to the room to send our best man down with our card, we learned the hostess panicked and made my niece and nephew pay the large bar tab before they could leave. When the best man got down there with our card, he was told the tab had been paid. Had she our card on file or had not panicked when we left (we still had guests there enjoying themselves), it would have save my poor family from having to pay the tab. Perhaps she would have gotten a better tip if we were the ones signing off on the tab read more

Stopped in here on our way to the Fremont St. experience today around 7:30ish, but the waitress on duty didn't acknowledge us nor did she attempt to even say hello. In a near empty lounge, she completely ignored us and opted to clean off a table in the corner instead. I'm thinking she is either completely untrained in customer service or just rude and not very good at the hospitality thing. Either way, spare yourself a miserable experience and try another watering hole. We finally just got up and left, too many places to give our business to in this town to put up with beyond sub par service. Well on 1/16/2020 me and my husband had terrible experience at Rush lounge. The bartenders were rude and when I complained about there bad service and also the waitress that was serving tables kept giving me bad looks the whole time I was sitting at the bar. He refused to give me there names and only gave me me the waitress name to complain about their bad service and also said " the waitress Samantha is not even serving you". Overall they lost my business and too bad cause I really enjoy the golden nugget and love going to troys tequila bar. read more

A real Hidden Diamond show in the legendary Golden Nugget. Checked out Ray Jon and Lorena Peril last Friday night at Rush Lounge. From Ray Jon's excellent guitar to Lorena's awesome singing range, this sociable entertaining duo are well worth a visit or more in your trip to Vegas. The night I was there, they had a guest third vocalist and she had a very strong voice range as well. Cool lounge to watch sports and chill with your group you're with. We went in to watch a basketball game. Seats are very comfy and could pass out easily. I am a huge fan of old fashions and most places make it really bad. So I am hesitant on ordering it unless they put it on their menu of specialty drinks. Sad part was it was not good. They went way too heavy on the simple syrup and used soda. Soda is the lazy way of making it in my opinion. It also drowns out the biters and it just tastes like a sugary Sprite. Also it was like pulling teeth to get her to come over and take our order. We ended up walking to the bar to order. Finally she came by but we had just gotten drinks. So we ordered another round figuring it would be a while. Sure enough it was. I had to switch drinks and go with a easy drink for them and just settle for crown and Coke. F#####' love this place. We go here, at least for a while, nearly every night we are in Vegas. Julie the bar tender is excellent. There's a guy who come on for an hour who is a little less friendly. Live music act is great and will take requests. The only real negative is the bar stools. If you lean back the top of the back rest digs into your back. Gets uncomfortable. Otherwise, as everyone else has said. A hidden gem so don't tell anyone. We have NOT been here on Sunday or Monday nights so don't know what it is like. read more
