It's a beautiful clean spa. Probably one of the nicest tanning spas I've been too. My experience: I had 191.00 charged to my credit card. There are many hidden fees. I spoke to Mike and he did make it better. 89.00 credit back. However, to tan 1 time is 44.00 dollars for the best bed, that I am ok with but a one time packet was 33 dollars ouch, I had no idea. The prices were not displayed when I went in. If they were I did not see them. Membership is over a 100 a month which is ok plus you can do red light! That is cool. I was surprised by an additional cleaning fee the spa charges. I was not told about this charge. I have to say, I really like this spa I will go back. I believe clear pricing would help the customer and the employees. I take responsibility for not understanding the pricing before paying. That was my fault. I'm grateful to Mike :) read more

Great experience spent 25 on a tab one time that lasted 10 days and amazing. Had a base tan to start but great place.

The beds and the facility are GREAT! However, I think that it is way overpriced and you have to provide your own eyewear. My hometown is Bloomington, I can go to a salon there and get three good tans for the price of one good tanning session here, eyewear included. If you are okay with spending a ton of money for tanning, I would recommend. read more

After I reviewed the business on yelp the manager/owner contacted me with in 24 hours to let me know that is not how they do business and he had corrected the employee and ask that I contact him. I was going out of town and told him I would contact him when I got back. Well I was gone for awhile so when I finally did get back the owner/manager did not remember me which is no big deal I was not looking to get a discount or anything for free I just want to know that when I spend my money some place they appreciate me as a customer. So when I went back the young lady that was working the desk was very knowledgable and she even showed me around the facility I could not have asked for better service. I also noticed they are very clean and when looking for a place to tan that is very important. I would defiantly recommend this place to anyone looking for options at a reasonable price. read more

I drove across town to this salon because UI's iCard Perks lists as providing a week of free tanning to people with an iCard and an i.d. First bad surprise, I noticed that the hours listed on the sign by the door showed that the salon is open fewer hours than is stated on their website. The one employee told me she had never heard of the iCard offer, and refused to honor it. I asked if there was anything she could offer, since I had driven across town. She implied that I could have a trial tanning session if I filled out a 2-page form and gave my DL number. I did all that, and then she said, "That will be $14.30. Sorry if I didn't make that clear before." Short on time, I went ahead with the tan. The piped-in music is so loud, you can't even listen to music on your own iPod. And Rush Tan's music is apparently chosen by a 13-year-old. Ugh. I will never go back. I'm going to try to get a refund. read more

On 4/16 my daughter got a tan at the Mattis Ave salon in Champaign IL,by 4/17 she was streaked& spotted and had white patches. She contacted them on 4/17 and was told she could have a refund. She went in to pick up her refund on 4/18 and after showing them the condition of her "tan" and being told the tan did not "take" on her skin,the manager REFUSED her the refund ! Do NOT go there. read more

First off, even if this was a decent place to go, I would recommend never going there, as they will cheat you out of money. I canceled my membership, and they kept charging me because one of the employees "made a mistake." I wanted my money back as I hadn't tanned here in months, but had been charged $50 per month, and the manager was extremely rude to me about it. We argued for about 20 minutes. The next month, I got my credit card bill, what do you know, charged AGAIN. I went back and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I finally had to change my credit card number so that they couldn't charge me anymore. A couple of reasons that I had canceled my membership in the first place are that the music is extremely loud and obnoxious, it sounds as if it is picked by a 13 year old. You can't even plug in your own phone. Takes all the relaxation out of tanning. Also, they close earlier than the hours on their door, multiple times I have driven across town to tan, and they were closed early. The staff is friendly, but incompetent. You have to bring your own eyewear as well. read more
