If it wasn't for Tommy at Border State Towing, my husband and 3 kids would still be stranded! They got a flat tire driving from AZ to CA, it was after 6pm and everything was closed or closing. AAA was quoting me a 2 hour wait for a tow truck and could not guarantee a truck that would have room to transport all of them and told them they might have to call an Uber. Tommy came right away, bringing extra tires just in case the tire shop was closed. Once Tommy towed them to the tire shop the employees there said they couldn't help because there was no wheel lock key. Tommy pulled tools off his own truck and worked to make sure the tire shop could get the tire off. He could've easily drop them off but he stayed until he knew for sure the tire could be repaired. Very thankful for a personalized experience and dealing with Tommy - he cared about resolving our problem, not about draining our bank account.

My car is wobbling and feeling like the bolts are about to come off, they used the cheapest Duralast after market cv axle they could get , which I don't even believe they put a new part on my car. I went it with a problem and came out with an even worse problem. DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. They told me there was nothing they could do as I was the one who requested the part. I asked if they detected anything else wrong with the car they said no that it was in fact the cv axle. I believe they did a hack job, and it had never even been fixed. After spending nearly an entire day pulled over on the side of the road and trying to figure out what to do, we eventually had our vehicle towed to Ramco and stayed overnight at a hotel. We truly couldn't have ended up at a better place. From the very beginning, Ramco was professional, honest, knowledgeable, and incredibly fair. They took the time to explain everything to us, were completely transparent about our options, and never made us feel pressured or like they were taking advantage of a stressful situation. Because we were traveling and dealing with an unexpected vehicle problem, I wanted to make sure we were getting the right information. I reached out to my brother-in-law, who works for San Diego Police Department (SDPD) and is responsible for the mechanical work on their vehicles. I explained everything Ramco had told us, and he gave me the exact same explanation and diagnosis. That gave me a tremendous amount of confidence and reassured me that Ramco was being completely honest with us and that we were not being taken advantage of. Their expertise and honesty gave us peace of mind, and most importantly, they helped get us safely back on the road so we could make it home to San Diego. I was impressed that they pull the pan and don't try to sell you a flush or power flush or any of that stuff. Didn't try to upsale me on anything and was done quickly. Customer service skills could use a little work but they were not rude in any way just a little bit unwelcoming. That's why 4 instead of 5. All in all though they did an excellent job and I would recommend.
