A friend found Russell Limousine based on the Yelp reviews and frankly, she hit the jackpot. Bob showed up to the house just a bit earlier than promised, and even rolled out the red carpet! He gave us the tutorial of how to use the radio and plug in our ipod/phone to play our own tunes. Sadly, I relented that I had an iphone5 (since no one has outlets for them) and he produced THE RIGHT CORD TO DO IT from his pocket! Aaaaamazing! On top of this, the car was super pretty (who doesn't like a white limo?) and super clean. When he dropped us off at our destination, he made sure that a few of us had his card to be able to call him when we were ready to go. I recently used Russell Limousine for my wedding and was very pleased. It's a small, privately-owned company as far as I can tell and they're advertised as owner-operated. Bob, who I believe is the owner, spent a lot of time on the phone with me and didn't rush me off the phone; not the biggest deal but definitely a plus and the exception rather than the rule. The biggest deals to me were service, price, and quality of the limo... Bob was also the driver who drove us on the wedding day. He arrived on time, literally gave us red-carpet service, and was very polite and accommodating. Best of all were his price and quality points - we got a great deal on a new 300 stretch limo, well below the going rate for a 300 stretch! We weren't even looking for a 300 stretch because we thought it was out of our price range but Russell Limo gave us the 300 at the same price that his best-priced competition was charging for 7-year old regular stretch limos! I called over 30 limo places and Russell Limo gave us the best overall deal, bar none. Out of those 30, only three were less expensive than Russell and all three either had really old standard Lincoln Town Car stretches from 2001 or got really bad reviews. Great price, great service, and a great car that was spotlessly clean. If I ever need a limo for anything in the future, Russell Limo will be the first place I call. Bob was very professional on the phone. He also gave us a flat rate, no extra taxes, fees, or hidden charges. He had champagne, sodas, water, and lot of ice in the limo, and you can plug in your iPod (or just your phone) for music which was great. He was on time, and was able to get us into San Francisco in less than an hour from San Jose. We were able to go to an extra bar after dinner, and he was ready for us right at the departure time. I hired Russell Limousine to help plan a surprise birthday party for my wife. I can't recommend it enough. I spoke with Dave, the owner, and working with him was easy from start to finish. When reviewing limousine services, I called at least 20 different vendors getting quotes. They were all in the same price range, but what made me choose Russell Limousine was Bob's honesty. When I asked what the chauffeur fee was, he informed me that there is no such thing and it is already included in the price. Bob also informed me that a limousine service cannot charge you tax. I can tell you that at least 17 of the limo companies I called all gave me a price and said tax and gratuity were additional. The day of the wedding, our driver was early and very professional. Russell limousine services come with the red carpet treatment, which includes champagne soft drinks & water, as well as a red carpet as you enter the limo. I can't help but say Bob is AWESOME! I'm one of those girls who are hard to impress, but Russell's is top notch :) I contacted Bob via email and he called right away so we could hash out the details for our Napa day trip over the summer. He was great with telling me about having folks eat ahead of time so they're not drunk by the 2nd winery (most group apparently don't even make it to the 3rd winery haha). He also said to call the winery up in advance to make sure they'd be okay with limos; some only allow them to be at the venue by 11:30 am i.e. V Sattui, a detail I didn't know but was glad Bob mentioned because we had to change our plan a bit. He provides waters and bottle of champagne on the day of. Once you agree to the terms and costs over the phone (cost includes tip, but he's so great, he deserves more!), he sends you a hardcopy in the mail. Day of, Bob showed up EARLY. This was a sign he was really professional. He was courteous and friendly and our group just really liked him :). From beginning to end, no complaints. I was looking for a limo service for my Son's 21st Birthday Bar Hopping Bash and found Russell Limo here on Yelp. I am so glad I called them first, because after speaking with Bob, I knew he would take care of us that evening and we would not need to worry about anything. Well, that is exactly what happened, Bob arrived on time and was more than accomodating to our needs. We all had a blast, because we knew Bob was taking care of everything....he even would check with us to see that we had our purses, IDs, etc when getting in and out of the limo. He refreshed our glasses in the limo every time we stopped, so when we returned to the limo we were ready to pour again! My boyfriend and I rented a limo from Russell's to celebrate mine and my sister's birthdays. We went wine tasting up in Saratoga and Santa Cruz mountains. I called around to a few different places trying to get prices for limousines. Some of them were reasonable but when I gave the date that we needed the limo for, they were already booked. One of the other limo companies actually recommended Russell's Limo to me. He said they have good prices and the owner (Bob) was really nice. So I called right away and boy was he right!! I had reserved the limo for the day I needed and it was a piece of cake. When our driver (David) picked us up (a few minutes early btw) he was super nice and funny. Did I mention how super clean and slick the limo was? If I didn't mention it yet, IT WAS SUPER CLEAN AND SLICK!! My boyfriend asked him if he could take our kids, nieces and nephews for a spin before we headed out to the wineries. He was super nice about it and didn't seem bothered about driving a bunch of kids around (w/ an adult chaperone of course). The kids really enjoyed it!! Just can't wait to write this review! Last night was my son's senior prom. To a teenager, it's a HUGE night. To a parent, you worry about transportation to and from the suburbs to San Francisco with teenagers. Bob at Russell Limousine was perfect! Bob took plenty of time to talk with me on the phone. Gave me tips on how to make sure there would be no delays. So many kids forget the invite or student IDs. He allows no drinking or drugs in his vehicle. As a mom, I love that! As promised, Bob arrived 15 minutes early and literally rolled out the red carpet. He was great with the kids and the parents. The Chrysler 300 was amazing. Gorgeous and so clean. It was stocked with drinks for the kids (water, soda, sparkling cider). Bob drove them to SF for the prom. He was waiting in front of the venue 15 minutes before it was supposed to end. Had a smile on his face when it took an extra 5 minutes to get a checked coat. Took the kids to an all-night diner. One girl needed to get home early and he willingly drove her home, then picked up the kids from the diner. As the 9 remaining seniors came into my living room, they raved about the limousine. Had a great sound system and they hooked up an ipod for customized tunes. Bob was a cool driver and didn't get lost (like another driver did last night). It made for a special night for the kids! After hearing about limo disasters from other moms that included lost, late and drunk drivers, it is a pleasure to report that professionalism lives on.
