I took my vehicle to Russell Speeder Car Wash on West Main St in Stamford, and it was a very disappointing experience. After the wash, I noticed multiple scratches on different parts of the car that were not there before entering. I returned to the location to report the damage and spoke with the manager, Edgar Merino, but he showed no real interest in investigating the situation or offering a solution. I later tried to contact general management and never received a response. The most frustrating part was the complete lack of responsibility and customer service. I understand that issues can happen, but the minimum expected is that they take the matter seriously and try to resolve it. In my case, I was simply ignored. I do not recommend this place if you care about your vehicle. read more

Mike came thru!! The rear wiper on our Volvo got pulled off in the wash. He could not have been more helpful - he looked for the wiper arm and found it to be broken and unusable. They keep some generic wiper arms on site. He found one that would fit and installed it in no time. Huge help!!! Saved me time and money getting a dealer replacement. Amazing service!!! read more

So to begin with I really don't want to negotiate with a commission based employee every time I want to get my car washed. Most car washes offer the vacuum area free. Russell's seems to think its reserved only for its members even if you purchase one of their car washes. If I purchased the car wash would it not make logical sense to allow one to use the vacuum area as to entice FUTURE Business and or become a member so that thought process is completely FLAWED. Lastly if you are a chain the pricing needs to be standardized. Pricing at the AVON location is extremely more expensive than any of the other locations. Which is discriminatory IMO you are also targeting a demographic and exploiting them. Im sure the Avon employees don't make more than the employees at the other location's. Im also going yo file a complaint with BBB in regard to this practice . Sometimes you get further with kindness instead of sending a employee out yo run off a customer using the vacuum. I had been a "member" for months but let lapse for summer and usually just pay cash every week or so. Was reminded by Josh today that I can do that, buy please don't use the vacuums. I guess if I didn't have a membership sticker on my window and had not supported it in the past that makes sense but this was a little pushy. He proceeded to tell me that a single car wash was more expensive than a monthly membership, I told him I didn't care. He STILL signed me up for the monthly membership WITHOUT my consent. When I told him this he tried to gaslight me and tell me I agreed. He just absolutely lied to my face. He told me I could cancel through the QR code on the pamphlet. Well you need the sticker that he put on my windshield (again without my consent). I threw it away at the gas station because he didn't tell me I needed that to cancel. Beyond furious. Please be aware of this new location!! Wish I had read the reviews before going!! I simply asked what packages they had and they intentionally signed me up for a monthly plan. Caught it at the last minute. The guy claimed he unplugged the computer but I was still charged! Got charged twice. Once for the single wash and again for the monthly charge. Only found this out after I went home. Went back to say something and they were absolutely no help. He said all he saw was the one charge. The kid just gave me a QR code to contact someone. Was just a link to sign up again.. Had to cancel my card to ensure there's no more charges. After reading Bristol talks and other reviews, I'm sad to say I'm not the only one. The credit card payment system at the touchless wash in Farmington is frequently not working. The cash option does not give full change. The management does not respond to complaints. The actual wash looks OK but if you run your hand over the car, you will still see smudges of dirt. Not my favorite place. read more

Best car wash in town. You can either wash your car yourself or go through the touch-less automatic drive thru. It's expensive but we get "The Works" and our cars come out sparkling clean each time. We also use the vaccumming tools while we're there. Very convenient location on Rte 6 in Bristol. read more

It's ok. I've been here a few times to the self service bays. The positive is they allow credit cards but the wash portion needs tending to. The soap out of the pressure washer is non existent and the "spot free rinse" I think is false. Spots allllll over my brand new Audi after washing. I think they need to change their filters. read more

TERRIBLE. Number one, you'd get a better car wash if you had a toddler do it. Number two, the owner is completely RUDE and disrespectful. When pulling in, i felt and heard a scrape. I asked the attendant what the noise was and if my rim was damaged - he said no you *should* be fine. When finished, there was a huge gouge in my rim. I went in to speak with the owner and he comes out and said "you have a scratch here, here, here and here" - just as rude as his attendant. I'll take my business to a more professional car wash. No wonder why their employee turn over is so high. Who would ever want to work for an arrogant prick like that. read more

I like this place! Especially the touch less car wash. The regular washes are great and prices are ok, some of the higher end washes are a little more expensive than other places. Join the club and get the card for a discount. They have lots of vacuums which is a plus, I've never had to wait for my car to get super clean!! read more

Avoid at all costs, the equipment can't event get all the soap off your car. Also all the dirt didn't wash off which is the reason for bringing a car to a car wash. The soap must be cheap as well as the equipment. Told the attendant after my wash how bad it looked and I might as well have been speaking Swahili. Will never be here again and I recommend you never go either. read more

Here 2/2/17 and used the vacuums and touch less car wash. Had to use 3 different vaccums because they all ate my money on the last quarter before 1 vacuum would work. Then I used the touch less wash. $5 "express" does just that, so I guess I got my money's worth. The left side of the carwash definitely doesn't have as much water pressure. read more

I was in Farmington last Friday...not my usual territory...and desparately needed a car wash. I saw Water Works and entered. Since my car hadn't been washed in a long time, I opted for the most expensive, "The Works w/Hot Wax" at $18.00...Phew!...it needed washing! My windows came out with amazing sparkle; however, I was disappointed because I have a Caravan and the lift gate on the back needed washing very badly. When the car was done, it looked like the man as you enter didn't even bother to use the handled mop/scrub brush on the back of the car. It is still filthy! Apparently the machine didn't clean the back either! It's too bad that I was a long way down the road before I stopped for something else and took a look at the result of the car wash when I got out. If I hadn't gone very far, I would have returned and demanded another car wash! Very disappointing. read more

I use the regular (staffed) car wash here on occasion and it generally does a pretty good job, the reason I'm only giving this place 3 stars is the prices. The basic wash, which doesn't even include an underbody wash is $3 more than a place 5 minutes away that includes the underbody wash. The works here is nearly $20 and they stopped giving the $3 rebate, at that price I'll just do it myself. read more
