We had a fantastic meal at this upscale seafood restaurant-such an unexpected find in the tiny village of Doolin. The beautiful interior features many found and up-cycled items giving it a warm and cozy vibe. Sadly we were too early for live music which starts at 8:30.
Our cheerful and friendly server helped us with the menu and we started with the homemade bread basket-yum! For entrees I got the nightly white fish special (John dory) while my wife picked the crab stuffed sea bass-absolutely fantastic. Each came with the choice of a side she got the salad (mostly frisée-not her fav) and me the cheesy potatoes. Caution: portions are huge-despite the deliciousness of the fish neither of us could finish the massive portions.
Of course no matter how full you are, there's always room for dessert and the nut tart with vanilla ice cream was a lite and tasty finish to a memorable meal. There's a decent wine list with reasonable prices and of course full bar options.
One of our favorite meals on our journey through Ireland. Definitely recommended. read more
