Glad we gave Russo's another chance after my wife did not have a great experience here a few years back. We've been back three times in the last year and each time Russo's has provided an enjoyable dining experience for us. My wife and I like this restaurant for its food, delicious cocktails and good service. It's been a great 're-discovery' for us and it has become our go-to restaurant when we want to have a really special dining experience. This isn't a place where you can just show up and find a table--it's popular, so reservations are highly recommended. The dishes we've had here are delicious and in just-right proportions. We've come here with just ourselves and once with friends and have not been disappointed. Our servers have also been an important part of our dining experience at Russo's. They've all been personable and attentive. Russo's has two places to dine that offer two completely different experiences: the main dining room and the Bacchus Room. The main dining room has a combination of booths and tables in a carpeted area, making for a quieter atmosphere. The Bacchus Room is more of a casual sports bar type of area. It is a simple area with bare floors, standard tables, TVs with sports games on them and a bar, but also with garage doors that can open up to a patio in nicer weather. Both areas now have the same menu. The most recent time we came we had to sit in the Bacchus Room because the main dining room was full and we could only get reservations for Bacchus. We still had excellent service and a tasty meal. Finally, we've really enjoyed the cocktails here, especially the martinis. Great espresso martini and the sour apple has become one of my favorites. Be prepared to pay a little more to eat here, as we have generally found entrees to be around $35 on up and cocktails were about $12, BUT...so worth it! We look forward to returning.

Second time here! Love the rotating specials. The jambalaya was phenomenal with just the right amount of spice. Don't forget to order a slice of peanut butter pie for dessert!

NOLA fried chicken. A huge portion with four pieces, two kinds of relish, collard greens, and red beans and rice.

Great experience at Russo's last night. We arrived at our reservation early and were promptly seated. We had fried green tomatoes with shrimp, roasted garlic head with plenty of hearty bread, and olive oil with cracked black pepper for dipping as well. Glasses of wine and martinis all around. The entrées were great. Homemade cavatelli with chicken, fillet with vegetables and mashed potatoes, hanger steak with vegetables and mashed potatoes, and Nola style fried chicken, with two kinds of relish and collard greens. Not the cheapest meal on the planet, but well worth it.

I have been here many times and will continue to come here. Food is really good and they actually cook here - it isn't food just off the Sysco truck. Lots of creative dishes like corn fried jalapeño perch bites. Note the menu changes. Service is excellent and sitting at the bar for dinner is highly recommended- get reservations. The bar is art of the kitchen which is very cool. Well worth a drive to eat here.

The food was not worth the price. We don't mind paying a high price but it's gotta be worth it.

The service was attentive, and several people checked on us throughout our meal. I ordered the lobster ravioli, and my daughter ordered the pesto pasta and added chicken. Both dishes were excellent. The lobster ravioli was extremely flavorful, and my daughter really enjoyed the chicken with her pesto. This was some of the best Italian food I've had. This might not be saying a lot because I am from L.A. and we are not known for our Italian food. My only complaint was the bread. Most Italian restaurants offer complimentary bread for the table, but Mia Bella charges extra for it. That wouldn't bother me as much if the bread were something special, but it was extremely ordinary. It was warm, but otherwise pretty tasteless; no garlic, garlic butter, herbs, or anything else to make it memorable. I'd definitely skip the bread and order a legitimate appetizer instead. All in all, the experience was very strong, and I would definitely return.

The bread is kind of like an oversized bagel with Italian seasoning and it does not disappoint. Our server (Andie) was exceptional. She helped my wife with Gluten Free menu options and gave us all honest feedback on the menu. I was torn between a veal dish and shrimp risotto and Andie shared that the risotto is one of her favorite things on the menu, second only to the carbonara (which is what my wife got). We both loved our meals! The meal was delicious, prices were fair, atmosphere was wonderful and Andie exceeded all expectations as our server.

Our waitress gave us some introduction on certain items but failed to mention that it's a Martini day! I asked about it so she told me two martinis on the menu were Thursday special. We each ordered a martini but they ran out of martini glasses so they were served on regular glasses. The lemon drop martini was very good though. We ordered calamari for appetizer, pesto pasta and chicken piccata for dinner. We were asked if we wanted to have bread.I supposed it's not an automatic offer? The bread looked like a bagel and it was very dense inside. It seems like the dough didn't rise the right way before baking. It wasn't that great with the dipping sauce - olive oil, very light balsamic and Parmesan mix. The pesto pasta was very oily and tastes more like sun-dried tomatoes than pesto. The chicken piccata was decent. The calamari was tender and flavorful. When the waitress brought our food to the table, I accidentally dropped my fork. The waitress just walked away without offering me a clean one.
