You can geocache or hunt Pokémon, walk your dog, or jog your stroller. The Davison police roll through regularly, and people are friendly and polite. There's no cost to use the park, and the pavilion rental is reasonable. If you feel like paying the fee, you can walk into Lake Callis next door. Or you can pass that and take additional trails throughout greater Davison or to the free Davison Dog Park. This is definitely worth a day to explore!

Multiple picnic tables and charcoal grills are available, as is a small children's play area. While there is not a lifeguard on-duty, there are swimming buoys, and bathrooms are on-site, as well. A recreational pass is required for entry and the park does not allow glass containers or alcohol. There were plenty of people kayaking and paddle boarding here, too. I would return!

The outfield grass is thick and cut to proper length unlike the rock pit I played on when I was a kid growing up in Flint. Infield is nicely groomed and being well maintained where you can tell it is being dragged on a regular basis. The one negative though is that it appears to be a crushed stone field versus dirt. This is OK for the young kids but I can see it being a bit more problematic with older teens where hard hit line shots can leave you being a bit gun shy about bad bounces when it hits one of the small stones. A bit of personal preference here on my part where a well maintained dirt infield or a combination of groomed grass/dirt would definately be better. Last thing to note about the fields are that the player benches are located outside of the diamond behind the fence. The positive is the kids are protected by line drives but the negative is there is no separation between the players and their parents allowing them to co-mingle with the players which is a definite distraction during the game and a little bit of an annoyance to the coaches. Aside from the ball diamonds there would also appear to be a concession building with bathrooms which is a big positive. The concession building was not open during my grandsons game and not sure if this is normal or a result of the Covid virus safety pre-cautions. In any event definately better than many of the parks that are lacking this type of infra-structure. Overall a nice facility where it actually makes you feel good when you see some of the better things that our tax dollars are paying for relative to family/community activities. Facilities like this were not available where I grew up and I am very pleased as both a tax payer and long time Oakland county resident to see Oakland county incorporate this into their annual budgets. There are walking paths all throughout, wooden bridges, multiple playgrounds, a lake with a groomed beach, small arcade, cozy camp store, yurts, group sites, full hook-up or tent sites; you truly have a plethora of options available to you. My extended family has camped here multiple times, and they have enjoyed every stay. I would have no problem booking a site for ourselves, for a staycation, next summer after seeing what they have to offer.

The large dog side is probably 12 times bigger than the small dog side allowing them to fully get a good run in. Not the parks fault, but there are some big left behind. Please make sure to clean up your dogs mess. Especially since they provide bags and trash for you.

We have new directors and management and the entire place has been changed. So many details (like cleaning and repairs) that had been neglected are now being handled. The campground is cleaner and more well cared for than ever before. And a whole lot of new "stuff" like mini golf and the zip line and climbing tower are all free and included in the camping fees now,. Its been an amazing summer here and I hope more people will decide to come check it out.

In the summer months (pre-Labor Day) they have an inflatable obstacle course courtesy of Warrior Island great for teens and adults I have seen dogs on this beach (and in the water) multiple times so clearly the NO ANIMALS sign is often ignored The changing rooms are interesting... no doors necessary since they're around a corner The singular outdoor shower is not private There's goose poop everywhere Biggest perk is how far you can go while it's still shallow

We have shopped Elephants Trunk Flea mkt (Lara Spencers tv show Flea Market Flip) in New Milford, CT, the mother of all Brimfield Antique Flea mkt in Brimfield, MA, Alameda Point Antiques Faire in Alemeda, CA and now Davisburg has been added to our list. The gate attendants and parking staff are friendly and helpful and the vendors ALWAYS have a story for whatever it is they are peddling, how fun!
