We were honestly falling asleep waiting for the actual entertainment to begin. The entire night felt chaotic from the moment we arrived. You spend time getting dressed up, planning a date night, driving downtown, and trying to be excited for the experience, only to park in a dark lot with feces and urine in the stairway. It was scary and disgusting. We looked past the parking lot situation because we were excited to enjoy our night out, but unfortunately the experience only got worse from there. The waitress kept pushing us to order more items, which made the whole night feel like a money grab. The food was absolutely embarrassing and nothing like what was advertised in the gallery photos on the website. It honestly felt like it came straight from Costco. Other reviews mentioned food being served on paper plates, and we can confirm that we experienced that too. The slice of pizza was literally Costco pizza. The pizza and snacks were cheap, low-quality, and nowhere near what you would expect for the price. It really makes you wonder how many people feel misled by that kind of advertising. There was also a complete lack of control and management. People who did not pay for reserved seating were hovering nearby, ready to take your seat the second you got up to use the restroom or go to the dance floor. We saw multiple people weasel their way into reserved lounge and table areas on the ground floor. At one point, a couple was even going through someone's fur coat and looked close to taking belongings before the actual couple returned. That alone says a lot about the environment and lack of security. The billing situation made it even worse. The waitress quickly skipped through the itemized receipt, which made it easy to miss that a 20% tip had already been included. We ended up tipping on top of the included gratuity and only realized it afterward. At that point, we felt completely scammed. We spent over $300, and the overall experience and management were absolutely not worth it. To be fair, some of the acts were great and the band was great. Separate from that, everything else was as mentioned. Between the deceptive billing, weak drinks that barely seemed to have alcohol, the delayed start, boring dance lessons, embarrassing food, poor seating control, and lack of management, the whole experience was extremely disappointing. I definitely do not recommend reserving seats, drinking at this event, or buying their food. Eat dinner beforehand and do not worry about arriving on time, because the show does not really start until around 10:30 anyway. We left feeling scammed.

We got there at 8pm and I think it starts after 10:30pm. The view from our seats were completely blocked by people standing around. Drinks and snacks were awful. I'd say my company was great, but the experience was regrettable. I do not recommend it at all. Interestingly enough, the people looked like regulars so if it's your cup of tea, then I guess you'll enjoy it but if you're trying to find a new place to try out for live entertainment, this isn't it.

There are not enough jazz/hip hop spots in the area and this one goes above and beyond. For any Paak fans it is extra special. Drinks curated and named after his music, sick paraphernalia etc... Side note: The Tokyo Fried Chicken Strips are insanely good. Sweetest staff every-time. Five stars all around.

The food and drinks are consistently great! The experience as a whole was hit or miss, and it…read moreshouldn't have been so inconsistent. We were sat next to someone who worked at the restaurant (a manager of some sort, I'm not entirely sure) who spent an annoying amount of time explaining business practices to his friends. One of said friends decided to go and interrupt the BEAUTIFUL performer and ask if she could sing. Not only was that incredibly rude of her to do, the manager friend should have told her not to. Unsurprisingly and unfortunately for us, her entitlement was not supported with a performance good enough to excuse her rudeness. It's obvious the vibe at Andy's is curated down to a science, and it's usually well executed. A random woman singing a song to her boyfriend while reading the lyrics off her phone shouldn't be part of the vibe. Ever. That's what karaoke bars are for. This genuinely bugged the hell out of me, so one more thing: The performers only have so much time on stage. To take away from his time to perform (and he would've killed it, his voice is so special!) is selfish. For the manager, I only know he worked there because employees kept going up to ask him questions. I've never seen a manager on shift but having a personal meal (most of their conversation was about personal stuff in the most pretentious, discomforting way). Them being where they were just brought more foot traffic to the area which added a level of discomfort since we were sat at the top of the stairs. Now for the better part of the experience: the waitress working there is just wonderful! My sister noticed she was at every table bringing food, clearing food, bringing drinks, etc. She just carries herself so well and made the night fun! Like we'd be thrown off by the conversation happening next to us (the conversation happening while the artist was performing) and she would come up to check on us and we were instantly in a better mood. She's a dream and I would go back to see her! The music-- Hit after hit after hit! Even songs I didn't know? A hit! Not a surprise, we know who's bar it is. But great music on a night out is never a guarantee, so it was refreshing to genuinely be dancing through dinner and throughout the evening! I brought my sister who was in town visiting me, and I would definitely continue to bring people to experience Andy's!

There is a parking structure around the corner so there is plenty of parking. The jazz club does validate if you pay in advance and I think it's pretty convenient because we actually stayed a little longer to hang out with my friend backstage after his performance. Once we arrived, you walk into this huge open area with the bar to your left and a bunch of seating in the middle. To the right is the stage with a blue background (probably to go with the blue note theme lol). One thing that stuck out right away is how packed they made it. They are definitely trying to maximize their profits by squeezing everyone in there like a pack of sardines. I would rate this higher if they took out a few tables to give people some space and legroom. It's insane! Besides that, it's perfect! The sound is good, the vibe is on point and the food was very good! I went with the salmon, mashed potatoes and broccoli and everyone who ordered it was raving about it. That salmon was fire!! I'll definitely be back to catch other artists I've been wanting to see live. I would recommend but you guys have to make some space so we can breathe. OOOO 4.5 out of 5 Afros
