Heard there was a new chef team and they did not disappoint. The food came out quick for our 7pm show - we ordered around 545pm and we were done eating by 615pm. The Soy Salmon was amazing, some of the best broccolini I've ever had. The cavatelli was so flavorful and beef ragu was beyond fresh. The Caesar salad did not disappoint. Great date night meal with plenty of bar drinks and wine to order. 10/10 recommend eating and supporting the staff at Blue Note.

March 26, 2026 | Hollywood | After having a quick bite to eat nearby, my Vegan Chef friend and I headed to a concert at Blue Note! What a beautiful and elegant venue! The concert was everything! Digable Planets | Yes, please! The group was amazing! Jazz Rap at its finest, as Butterfly, Ladybug Mecca, & Doodlebug took the stage! Their vibe was easily smooth and their lyrics flowed with ease! I love the interaction with the crowd as well! Good vibes all around & a whole lot of flavor! Inside | Elegant decor, moody lighting, and the velvet blue curtain stood front and center, as well as the stage set up with equipment for the musicians and recording artists!! There was a variety of seating areas! Some were right by the stage, others were at wide velvet chairs near the back, including seating at the bar! It's actually a large space, once you step inside! We selected a table right in front of the velvet chairs, which was perfect! Not too close to the stage, not too far, but just right! I would easily select the same seating again! Outside | We were met with blue velvet ropes, which fit the theme & name of the venue! We easily found parking at a meter nearby! Food & Drinks | Order $20 per person plus ticket price! We both had a drink, sure the delicious olives and I also had a few bites of the olive oil cake. I would try something different on my next visit! Overall | The Blue Note as an elegant venue that I would easily go back to, depending upon who is performing! We had a great time!

Ambiance: 10/10 Service: 9/10 Food: 7/10 PRO TIP: come first served, so arrive early if you want your choice of spots and don't want to get stuck in standing room only. Had a fabulous time at this club! I came on Tuesday, May 19th to see Tanerèlle with a friend. Show started at 7, doors opened at 5. We arrived ~6. That timing was perfect tbh We had ample time to get situated, validate our parking, order and devour our food without stressing about hurrying up for the show. The only way to experience this venue well is to get there early. Only issue with this place is the food, perhaps unsurprisingly, is very overpriced for what it is. I paid $40 for a salmon dish that resembled a dish I could easily make at home. Home. It was just salmon, mashed potatoes and broccolini. Nothing to write home about. And they pull world-class talent in such an intimate setting. I'm so grateful we have a jazz club like this in LA now. Will be back!

This has been one of our favorite spots since they opened in October/2025. Music is everything to my family. I'm not sure how you grew up but, with us, music was always involved in just about everything. The Good times and the bad times, from childhood to adulthood. That being said, when the Blue Note opened my wife basically went wild. At this point, I have to keep an eye on my calendar, because on any day I'll have a concert to go to. The spot is nice and intimate. With the stage being front and center, there's almost not a bad seat in the house. They offer a full service menu, with cocktails, appetizers and entrees. There's a 20.00 pp minimum for food and/or drinks. We go for the music not the food. I usually order a cocktail and fries. On the latest visit my wife had the Rosè Cenote and I went with the Blackberry Djinn. Pro tips: It's open seating (the host seats you based on how the venue is filling up) and shared tables. So if you want to be front and center you should get there early. The later you show up, the chances of you being a little towards the back is higher. But as mentioned earlier on, the place is small and intimate, so there's not really a bad seat. They also offer bar seating. Keep an eye on their calendar to find your favorite artists on their list.

I was happily surprised by this place. Elegant, great lighting, beautiful stage, great service, good food. I didn't try the drinks but people seemed to like them. They have a great sound system and the band sounds great. We watched Kota the friend last night and had an amazing time. Just be aware prices are a bit high, but I guess expected for a venue like this. Also the space and bathrooms are a little tight. Still would be down to return and watch another show here.

Always a great time! Wonderful experience! Beautiful people, exceptional service, Delicious salmon and mash potatoes. Lol. They have a variety of musicians, I love it! The only thing is... we are PACKED in there. So packed together you can barely eat your food. Not so comfortable for people who are a little larger in size. The staff and service have always been top-notch! You feel very welcomed and taken care of. GREAT STAFF! Thank you guys for a great time and THE BEST ENTERTAINERS. Oh, I prefer to go to the 7pm shows to avoid the line at the 9:30pm show. However, I think you get more for your money at that 9:30pm show. They are also very reasonably priced. I pray it stays that way.

Arturo Sandoval at Blue Note Los Angeles - Table Seating (Jun 06, 2026) My husband and I had a wonderful evening at Blue Note Los Angeles for the Arturo Sandoval show. We arrived for the 5:00 PM dinner, and the food was really good. The service was friendly, though I'd rate it about a 7/10 only because the staff seemed backed up with so many tables at once. The music itself was incredible. Arturo Sandoval delivered an unforgettable performance, even with the unexpected sound issues that caused about a 45‑minute pause. Once everything was back on track, the energy in the room picked right up again. Overall, despite the delays, we truly enjoyed our night. Great music, good food, and a memorable experience.

The vibes at Blue Note Jazz Club are incredible! I lucked out and got tickets for Lizzo for my first experience at the venue. I already have tickets to another show. The room is intimate. It's a very cool place for live music, and their lineup consists of truly great musicians. The sound is pretty solid - I did put in earplugs since we were sitting a few feet from the drums. The options are table seating (I've seen a range from about $70-90 per person) and bar area (about $50-60 per person) which includes first-come first-served seats and a standing area. There is a $20 food/beverage minimum per person for both sections. We were a party of 2 with table tickets. We lined up at 8pm, about an hour before doors for the 9:30pm. There were only about 6 people ahead of us at that point. We thought it was worth going a bit early as we got to sit in the area right in front of the stage. The hostess asked us if we would like to be closer, and we said sure, not knowing that the closer tables are so close that they are touching the edge of the stage. It's almost too close! My neck was a bit stiff at the end from looking up. The tables touching the stage are tables of 6, and they do seat you with other parties to fill the space. It is pretty tight. There are more tables further back that look a tiny bit more spacious. There is also a section of table seating on the sides. I'm not sure how the views are from there. There are booths in the back that are reserved for friends and family. The bar area is in a back corner. The food and beverage menu has a pretty decent selection including appetizers, mains and desserts. I would love to see more non-alcoholic beverage options. I had the olive oil cake and bottled water. The cake was decent, not a standout. The restroom is clean and there is an attendant in there. Parking for the attached lot can be purchased for $18.80 in advance. When I pulled up, I saw a sign that said it was $20 to purchase there. There are also meters around. Overall, I really enjoyed the Blue Note experience and will happily return! I would give 4.5 stars if that were an option, mainly because it felt cramped for us, and I generally don't love food/beverage minimum requirements with a ticket purchase.

The venue is pretty small, but the sound packs a good punch, no complaints for that aspect. I saw Willow debuting her new album. There was a $20/person minimum, which was listed both on the ticket and the tables when you sat down. Seating was EXTREMELY cramped, you will be shoulder to shoulder with everyone at the tables so just be warned. The tables are also quite packed in there, it makes taking off your jacket or going to the bathroom quite difficult. Even the staff seems to have trouble walking through. I can't speak for the bar area seating, just general table seating. The view itself of the stage and Willow was pretty good, I was at the 2nd table back more centred which got me the views from my photos. I liked being that close it felt very private and personal, just wish a couple less people were there so it wasn't as packed. I ordered a non-alcoholic drink (The No-groni - $16) and a side of fries ($9). The drink was quite good, and the fries were average, nothing to write home about. Parking: you can use the lot for the Cinerama Dome

    Anasa W.

The talent was excellent, and my salad was good, but the way they squeeze you in like sardines, is not comfortable. The seats are very close together and you definitely feel like you're in a relationship with everyone in the room because you have shared way more skin than you do on a normal basis with other people. I know they want to accommodate more people, but they should think about how many people they are putting in this room because it's slightly uncomfortable and not that easy to eat when your arm is touching someone else's arm.

Food was great, Ambiance is very elevated, and the service was good but expect a wait due to how packed it gets in there. Only gripe is that you get packed in like sardines but otherwise the acoustics are great and the vibes are better. Ordered a Wagyu burger, toasted spiced almonds, spicy chicken bao buns, and my wife ordered the chicken schnitzel which was very good. We enjoyed our meal and the great show put on by Nick Jonas! Had a good time!

    Kamasi Washington on stage
    William T.

Saw Kamasi Washington at the Blue Note during his residency. Did not realize it was first come first serve, so we got stuck in a table to the right of the stage. Turned out we had nothing to fear, as the sound system was incredible from every angle and the room feels pretty intimate. The food was surprisingly good. For cocktails, try the Smoking on the Back Porch. Sensational and unique. We'll be back.

    Chris G.

The staff was attentive, and the seating was great. The venue is very intimate, with the band playing right in front of you, which made for a personal experience. * Note on Food: Didn't try the food, and no one else was eating. * Minor Issue: The show was a little short, and we had to leave immediately afterward since they had a second show scheduled. Despite the quick exit, I would recommend it for the great music and service!

Ask the Community - Blue Note Jazz Clubs

    Is there valet parking?

No. There is a parking garage. I usually luck up and find meter parking especially for weekday shows.

Do the stools at the bar have backs to lean on? What is a good time to arrive to get a seat at the bar?

There are 2 rows of seating at the bar . The row that has you against the bar has seat backs. The other row does not. I recommend you arrive before doors open to get the best seat . So if doors open at 5pm i suggest u get there by 4:30pm.

Is the jazz club 18 or 21+?

Table seating is all-ages. Seating at the bar is 21+.

From the moment of arrival, the atmosphere establishes itself as both sophisticated and intimate. The room is thoughtfully designed, with warm lighting, tasteful décor, and acoustics that elevate the live music experience without overwhelming conversation. The venue strikes a careful balance--energetic yet controlled--making it equally suitable for a night of entertainment or a focused dining experience. A particularly memorable highlight of the evening was a visit to our table from Eden Alpert, daughter of Herb Alpert. She was gracious, engaging, and genuinely attentive, adding a personal touch that reinforced the establishment's commitment to hospitality at every level. The culinary program reflects intention and care. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, with clear attention to detail in both presentation and flavor. Execution in the kitchen is confident, and the overall quality of the food aligns well with the venue's upscale positioning. The wine list is well-curated and sufficient in scope, offering a range of options to complement the menu. However, pricing is notably elevated, with markups that may give even seasoned diners pause. A corkage fee of $50 per bottle is in line with the venue's premium positioning, though it further reinforces the importance of thoughtful wine selection for those mindful of value. Service throughout the evening was attentive and polished, contributing to a seamless flow from seating to service to performance. Staff demonstrated both professionalism and warmth, enhancing the overall guest experience. The live music remains the centerpiece--and rightly so. Performances are exceptional, supported by excellent acoustics that allow every note to resonate clearly throughout the space. It is this combination of sound quality, ambiance, and intimacy that continues to define the venue's reputation. In summary, Vibrato Grill Jazz delivers a compelling and well-rounded experience: elevated cuisine, engaging service, and outstanding live jazz in an elegant setting. While the wine pricing may lean toward the premium end, the overall experience justifies its standing as a destination for both dining and music enthusiasts alike.

Still annoying. I got lucky and found a lot with one space left, but $20 for parking definitely deserves a mention because paying for parking is always a little painful. Even getting there an hour early, it was already extremely crowded. I was very glad I brought lawn chairs, a blanket, and snacks because while they do have food trucks, the food options felt pretty limited for the amount of people there. By the time I got settled, I was pretty far from the actual music. I could hear it just fine, but actually seeing the performers was another story. The vibe Now that part was absolutely worth it. Being outside on a summer night, listening to great music, surrounded by families, couples, friends, and beautifully dressed people just enjoying themselves... it really was such a vibe. Some people had full picnic setups with blankets, tables, food, wine, charcuterie, the whole thing. It was so cute seeing couples posted up, having their little summer night. And me? I was perfectly happy people-watching because I love an art crowd anyway, and adding jazz culture to it just made it even better. The style, the energy, the atmosphere... just a really lovely way to spend a night. Final thoughts If you go, come prepared. Bring chairs, bring snacks, and definitely expect a crowd. It may not be the best setup if your goal is actually seeing the performers up close, but if you're there for the music, the people, and the overall experience, it's absolutely worth it. But once you find it, it's large, gated, and has a couple attendants watching the cars. You go upstairs and it opens up into a decent sized space. Large enough to hold people and dance, and small enough that you can see the band from every point in the bar. It has a long bar when you enter and looks like they'll take care of you for the night. At the far end of the venue is a little space. I'm not sure if they use that as their green room cuz it wasn't inviting you to come in. Overall, I think it's a decent venue. Not sure if the sound was an issue w the bands' equipment or The Paramount. I'd go back if a fave band of mine is playing.
