The large party was 2 people.

This place was overpriced, disorganized, and incredibly disappointing. The show did not actually begin until 10:29 p.m., and before that there was almost an hour of dance lessons. We were honestly falling asleep waiting for the actual entertainment to begin. The entire night felt chaotic from the moment we arrived. You spend time getting dressed up, planning a date night, driving downtown, and trying to be excited for the experience, only to park in a dark lot with feces and urine in the stairway. It was scary and disgusting. We looked past the parking lot situation because we were excited to enjoy our night out, but unfortunately the experience only got worse from there. The waitress kept pushing us to order more items, which made the whole night feel like a money grab. The food was absolutely embarrassing and nothing like what was advertised in the gallery photos on the website. It honestly felt like it came straight from Costco. Other reviews mentioned food being served on paper plates, and we can confirm that we experienced that too. The slice of pizza was literally Costco pizza. The pizza and snacks were cheap, low-quality, and nowhere near what you would expect for the price. It really makes you wonder how many people feel misled by that kind of advertising. There was also a complete lack of control and management. People who did not pay for reserved seating were hovering nearby, ready to take your seat the second you got up to use the restroom or go to the dance floor. We saw multiple people weasel their way into reserved lounge and table areas on the ground floor. At one point, a couple was even going through someone's fur coat and looked close to taking belongings before the actual couple returned. That alone says a lot about the environment and lack of security. The billing situation made it even worse. The waitress quickly skipped through the itemized receipt, which made it easy to miss that a 20% tip had already been included. We ended up tipping on top of the included gratuity and only realized it afterward. At that point, we felt completely scammed. We spent over $300, and the overall experience and management were absolutely not worth it. To be fair, some of the acts were great and the band was great. Separate from that, everything else was as mentioned. Between the deceptive billing, weak drinks that barely seemed to have alcohol, the delayed start, boring dance lessons, embarrassing food, poor seating control, and lack of management, the whole experience was extremely disappointing. I definitely do not recommend reserving seats, drinking at this event, or buying their food. Eat dinner beforehand and do not worry about arriving on time, because the show does not really start until around 10:30 anyway. We left feeling scammed.

Waited 2.5 hours for the show to finally begin.

So I took my mom and aunt here as a fun night out with some entertainment. The event didn't start until hours after the start time. We got there at 8pm and I think it starts after 10:30pm. The view from our seats were completely blocked by people standing around. Drinks and snacks were awful. I'd say my company was great, but the experience was regrettable. I do not recommend it at all. Interestingly enough, the people looked like regulars so if it's your cup of tea, then I guess you'll enjoy it but if you're trying to find a new place to try out for live entertainment, this isn't it.

Mambo Craze was an absolute delight from start to finish. The performers brought incredible energy to the stage, and my friends and I loved it. Anyone looking for a night of vibrant performances and classic cabaret/burlesque flair will absolutely enjoy this show.

My friends and I had blast this past Saturday night "Loved " Mambo Craze event , it was a perfect classy/ritzy night out with friends, we enjoyed the yummy drinks , salsa class, Latin music, social dancing and the icing on the cake was the amazing line up of performers . It was such an enjoyable night.

Divine beings being fabulous and emulsifying the setting of opulence.

Mambo Craze Cabaret offers the most opulent, transcendental experience in showcasing top quality acts from burlesque, to cabaret, to both combined, to acrobatics, to live music that enamours us all into a romantic free flowing dance. One of the greatest entertainment experiences you will ever have. After one experience I must say I am hooked. Such an honour to be a part of the mambo craze family.

Awesome event from beginning to end. As we entered it felt old timey. It was a great set up. The performances could be seen from any angle and we took advantage of that. We moved around the venue and had a great view. The MC Kenzie Anne was great. Every performer out did themselves. We really enjoyed the birthday cake surprise dancer. Now I know where I'll have my birthday next time. The band and DJ did an awesome job. Bar service was quick and easy. Ambiance was very welcoming and classy.

Absolutely love and recommend this event that transports you to the Cabaret era with live music and performances. Makes for a fun night of salsa dancing and entertainment. Be on the lookout they host this event once a month. Don't miss out!

The Mambo Craze event is unlike any other show in LA. If you have the opportunity to see it, you have to! Wear your gown or tux because when you walk in the door you will be transported back in time to the Prohibition days of flapper girls and pinups. At this modern day speakeasy, you'll see the most beautiful and talented performers strut their stuff cabaret-style, take a swim in a martini glass, and get it on to the saxophone. In between majestic performers, a live band is taking down the house while you sip on your old fashion or dance samba on the main dance floor. We attended as a group of ladies, no regrets as this was an unforgettable experience! I would recommend this uniquely spectacular monthly show to anyone looking for a classy good time.

This review is specific for the cabaret show hosted by Club Bahia. For the review on the club…read moreitself, check its dedicated business Yelp page. I don't know if I went to the show with too high of an expectation, but the truth is, I didn't walk away being fully blown away. I was adequately entertained, but not at the level that I came to expect from cabaret or burlesque shows in general. It's probably important to preface that I am more accustomed to seeing big production versions of shows in the same vein, such as Zumanity, in Las Vegas setting. And while I do realize entertainment of that caliber is in a different ballpark altogether, it's difficult not to compare. Billed as a homage to Tarantino films, which I know just (barely) enough to appreciate the many reference of the show, Tarantina is still a very grounded cabaret show at heart, and only superficially dipped in the Tarantino universe icing. If you're expecting it to be a movie celebration extravaganza, which I kinda did, you may be a little bit disappointed. If you're just there for a good time, to observe some talented ladies (and one token well-toned, constantly shirtless dude) perform, while you sit back and relax with a drink, this show delivers enough. The ticket price was... eh. VIP was too expensive, I wouldn't recommend anyone getting it. The GA, at $39 or so per person, including fees and all that, was a bit on the high side still, imho. I don't want to take anything away from the performers of the show, for I know all of them are disciplined artists that probably trained for their crafts with much time and dedication; nonetheless, I've just seen better, and some of them really failed to impress audience like me. Once you've seen the same tricks, but done arguably better, you'll probably feel the same. Not to be a total Debbie Downer, I do want to emphasize, there were definitely moments that I much appreciated: the MC was positively well cast. She was entertaining, one of the best parts of the show, and all she did was talk into the microphone... *with undeniable charisma*. The way she introduced each subsequent act, with brief explanation of which Tarantino film it related to, JUST FANTASTIC. I could hear her talk on and on. The one buff dude that was the token eye candy for the ladies and gay dudes, who doubled as prop master, who carried essential equipment on and off stage, was also a blessing. Of the acts that I got to see, (sadly I had to leave early due to work the next day, the show's being shown on a Thursday night and all), some were really good. Some were not so good. I do wanna list out some of the more memorable ones that I thought were worth your undivided attention. There was someone who danced with a python, along with some fire stunts. That screamed prime Britney, and therefore I ate that sh*t up. In fact, any time special flame effects were used, those were quite awesome. The ladies who exposed their perfect... uh... "female form", as the club called it, carried out a tasteful and sexy performance. Visually stunning, it was 1 of more memorable moments. There's a pure dance number, accompanied by "California Dreamin'", that was choreography heaven. It provided glimpses of what a professional dance number should look like. The fan blowing was a nice touch. As some put it, it was like watching "Dancing with the Stars". Finally, the Gogo Yubari number was also top-notched. Side note: if you're looking to see some serious boobage, then please be aware, and I quote from the MC, "this is a cabaret, and not a burlesque show". Frontal nudity is only occasionally featured. Of things that I didn't mention, some were still good. I just can't recall them off the top of my head right now. In contrast, remaining others were ok/mediocre, and a select few were sub-par. Had the pricing been lower, or had every single act been consistently solid, the act would've merited at least 4 stars from me. But right now, I would rate it 3.5 stars, but closer to the rounded 3 stars mark. I do, however, fully acknowledge that I might've missed some really great parts that were shown after my departure. The costume contest after the show, for instance, would've been wonderful to witness since some patrons were rocking some movie-grade wardrobes from the iconic films. (And just quickly circling back to the theme: if the costumes for the show, the decorations, and the routines were more heavily inspired & influenced by the Tarantino films, it would probably have pushed the ratings higher also. But hey, they did get the music/soundtracks right.) Overall, I see a show that has room for improvement, run by a group of individuals that could be showcased more properly with some better directions. But who cares what I think? Plenty of people in the audience were clearly enjoying themselves immensely. So go see for yourself instead. As a fun Thursday night on the town in the greater city of LA, it might just be enough.

Clearly they did not pay to sit there and I am still peeved about that. I would not pay for a loveseat again since anybody can just sit there if it's empty and nobody will call you out for it. I decided to treat myself and buy a loveseat ($80ish) so that I wouldn't be squished with other people and I just hope that this doesn't happen to anybody else. I kind of regret buying it because of that. The show was entertaining though and the drinks were good. The ambiance is nice.

Harvelle's is the latter. Tucked close to the beach in Santa Monica, this tiny little place might not look like much at first. If you're lucky enough to grab a front-row seat or one of the coveted bar stools, you'll start to notice the details: metal pipes, and rods that spark the imagination. You're in for a treat! I got the matcha one which has a nice foam on top and really well balanced as well as the pickle cocktail. A total 180 with a strong pickle brine and mezcal flavor, but equally delicious for a more savory drink. Would definitely recommend and come back!

We thought this was supposed to be a serious burlesque show but it was much more like a student…read moreshow, like people trying out stripping in front of an audience to see how it would feel. But it had heart for sure. It was cute and funny at times and pretty raunchy at times also which wasn't our particular taste but that's ok. I like raunchy but most of the humor here was just a little too much on the cheap and sleezy side for my taste. I just wished for one act at least to wow me, which didn't happen. The whole thing just felt like we were in someone's living room being entertained by their fun, sweet, and silly friends. If I were them I'd bring in real dancers, a director and production designer that was familiar with cool old cinema or theatrical dance sequences - think Crazy Horse, Singing in the Rain, Victor Victoria. Put real stories in the acts and relationships and not just make it solely about stripping for the audience each time, get a real costumer that can make cool visual experiences- right now it all feels like the artists built their own costumes out of whatever they had at home. Make the humor a little more funny and intelligent, put in a better sound system so we can feel the music more- the music was way too soft, and find more ways to bring creativity and imagination to the show. It's burlesque, we should leave feeling enchanted, not embarrassed we made our friends sit through it. Hope that's helpful.
