I went to the most recent event at the Globe Theater in downtown Los Angeles. It was an amazing venue with a great second floor mezzanine. The live music was incredible, the guy playing the sax really knows how to jam. The dancers and musicians were performing together, and did several shows! There's this magical connection between a musician and a dancer that you see and feel as they improvise and work the crowd, the stage, and the whole venue. In between performances there was social dancing, with a lot of great dancers dressed to the nines. The birthday cake performance is something you got to see and experience, totally off the charts, like something you'd see in a movie! The final performance is with a giant martini glass. The girl dances around/in the glass filled with water and then pours champagne all over herself. One of the most wild over the top things I've ever seen! The energy and vibes were off the hook! I highly recommend this for couples that want a special date night, large groups that want a unique experience/entertainment, and people who want to celebrate their birthday in style. read more

Sergio responded to my review with NOTHING BUT LIES. Nobody was brought on stage for a birthday surprise. They wheeled the woman out in a cake on the main floor so that's LIE #1. If you have SUPPOSED FOOTAGE of me receiving this birthday surprise then please post it!!! I WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE TO SEE IT LIE#2. There were definitely not 10 acts and YES then entire chaotic mess of a show was only 15-20 minutes long!!! IF you have footage of a 90 minutes show then I'm sure you can post that as well LIE#3 The only thing Sergio didn't lie about is he didn't mention anything about the disgusting food and drinks I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT APPRECIATE ALL THESE LIES AND I HOPE NO ONE EVER WASTES THEIR MONEY ON THIS SHOW AGAIN!!! read more

Yeah I said it just 2 stars. Went this last Saturday to the show. Requirements were formal attire men in dress shirts ties or bow ties. We paid $260 for a 4 person table. Got seated on the top floor with these huge disco balls blocking our view 50% of the time. We had to leave our table and for a full view go downstairs for the show. I'll leave that there. Women dressed in formal wear. Yes I wore my heels and brushed off some dust ;) We got there thinking there was going to have at least an appetizer menu. We had to order $60 per person so we thought with appetizers it could happen easy. Well when we saw the menu: charcuterie board, pita chips with hummus, pizza. Ok we ordered the board and pita. What we got was white $.99 paper plates with down cheese, nuts, apricots. Ridiculous $22 for a paper plate. The pita chips came with no hummus in a paper boat they were all crumbs. I can't believe we paid so much money to dress up, get a $260 table for paper plates with no utensils, no hummus. Ordering 2 sets of these because we didn't want to get sick from drinking on an empty stomach. I believe we ordered 4 drinks each by the nights end (cups were small too) our bill came out to $413! We asked for a receipt to which the waitress stated she couldn't get us. So the night came out to close to $650! And we were served on paper plates, no meal. It's a rip off. The show was nice but we had to be walking around to actually see it. Never doing this again! read more

This place was overpriced, disorganized, and incredibly disappointing. The show did not actually begin until 10:29 p.m., and before that there was almost an hour of dance lessons. We were honestly falling asleep waiting for the actual entertainment to begin. The entire night felt chaotic from the moment we arrived. You spend time getting dressed up, planning a date night, driving downtown, and trying to be excited for the experience, only to park in a dark lot with feces and urine in the stairway. It was scary and disgusting. We looked past the parking lot situation because we were excited to enjoy our night out, but unfortunately the experience only got worse from there. The waitress kept pushing us to order more items, which made the whole night feel like a money grab. The food was absolutely embarrassing and nothing like what was advertised in the gallery photos on the website. It honestly felt like it came straight from Costco. Other reviews mentioned food being served on paper plates, and we can confirm that we experienced that too. The slice of pizza was literally Costco pizza. The pizza and snacks were cheap, low-quality, and nowhere near what you would expect for the price. It really makes you wonder how many people feel misled by that kind of advertising. There was also a complete lack of control and management. People who did not pay for reserved seating were hovering nearby, ready to take your seat the second you got up to use the restroom or go to the dance floor. We saw multiple people weasel their way into reserved lounge and table areas on the ground floor. At one point, a couple was even going through someone's fur coat and looked close to taking belongings before the actual couple returned. That alone says a lot about the environment and lack of security. The billing situation made it even worse. The waitress quickly skipped through the itemized receipt, which made it easy to miss that a 20% tip had already been included. We ended up tipping on top of the included gratuity and only realized it afterward. At that point, we felt completely scammed. We spent over $300, and the overall experience and management were absolutely not worth it. To be fair, some of the acts were great and the band was great. Separate from that, everything else was as mentioned. Between the deceptive billing, weak drinks that barely seemed to have alcohol, the delayed start, boring dance lessons, embarrassing food, poor seating control, and lack of management, the whole experience was extremely disappointing. I definitely do not recommend reserving seats, drinking at this event, or buying their food. Eat dinner beforehand and do not worry about arriving on time, because the show does not really start until around 10:30 anyway. We left feeling scammed. read more

So I took my mom and aunt here as a fun night out with some entertainment. The event didn't start until hours after the start time. We got there at 8pm and I think it starts after 10:30pm. The view from our seats were completely blocked by people standing around. Drinks and snacks were awful. I'd say my company was great, but the experience was regrettable. I do not recommend it at all. Interestingly enough, the people looked like regulars so if it's your cup of tea, then I guess you'll enjoy it but if you're trying to find a new place to try out for live entertainment, this isn't it. read more

Awesome event from beginning to end. As we entered it felt old timey. It was a great set up. The performances could be seen from any angle and we took advantage of that. We moved around the venue and had a great view. The MC Kenzie Anne was great. Every performer out did themselves. We really enjoyed the birthday cake surprise dancer. Four phenomenal burlesque shows throughout the night-all very different from one another. You will experience a live Latin band inspired by Havana's Tropicana , burlesque performances through out the night by beautiful talent while dancing the night away.
