Excellent excellent service!! I'm a little putting my review but I could not say nothing. Preparing for the repast for my sweet Auntie, Ms T who ran the bar area and her Mom were the sweetest and very professional. They set everything up beautifully and the food OMG was fire! Everything was on point! Thank you Thank you Thank you for all that you did in making us comfortable. The family and guests were 100% pleased. Stop by Thurs - Sun for some good music, drinks and some good eaten, you will not be disappointed. read more

Found this place after a Rams game near Sofi stadium, we needed somewhere to pass the time while we waited for the uber surge to go down. Ended up staying for the live music and we had dinner. They have live music Sunday nights and it was such a good time. Mixed friendly crowd. Delicious good and inexpensive drinks. Jazz band was so good and we had a great time. read more

I pass this place up all of the time to go to bars farther away. Today I decided to stop. Big mistake! This place has zero to offer. Bad customer service, horrible ownership, dreary looking inside, and the staff was sitting around drinking while I was waiting on my change. While I was there the server got my drink order wrong. Which would normally not be a problem for me. However.....when she let the owner know, who was also the bartender, the owner just walked away from her out of frustration. She then served everyone else who wanted a drink at the bar, laughed and talked with people around the bar, and continued to ignore our server. Our server continued to just stand at the bar looking scared to say anything else about us waiting on our correct order. My sister had to go to the bar to say something after waiting for almost 10 minutes. The owner then told my sister that she did indeed order the drink that was sent to the table. I can't even remember the name of the drink because it's a drink neither one of us had ever heard of before. My sister told her that the order was the cognac and coke which was why we already had the coke at the table. She then scorned our server about entering the incorrect order and gave her a lesson on how to do it correctly. She then asked around to the other people at the bar did they want the drink that she incorrectly made before finally making the correct drink. I hate to do this to a black owned business, but it was that bad. Never again for me. With Inglewood on the rise with decent to good bars, you would think they would put in some effort. They don't...at all. read more

First went here about 10 years ago and now i've been twice recently for a repast. The food wasn't terrible but it left a little to be desired. It definitely needed more seasoning (esp. if your primary customers are black (we KNOW GOOD food. I'm glad they survived the shut down but a few changes (food and and ambiance) before fall and they might clean up during concert and football season. read more

I would give them 5 stars if I couldn't smell fried chicken or fish while I'm dancing or waiting on a dance. The spices make me cough and wheeze violently. The decor is nice and the hospitality is the greatest. I've been here also for a few repasts and they do an awesome job with that. Please properly vent the kitchen and I will be back especially if Omar Cooke starts back with Chicago Steppin classes. read more

Would love to give a favorable review but customer service is everything. My friend and I were looking for a venue to hold her mothers repass. My friend called and a woman answered but the phone hung up each time my friend started to inquire. I called the phone seemed to work I inquired about services and was told that I would receive a brochure with all of the information via email. I provided email address and patiently waited. After an hour of not receiving the information I called back to confirm that the correct email address was taken. The gentleman that answered the phone placed me on hold for a moment came back and confirmed the email address. Well here it is 24 hours later and nothing. I try really hard to patron local businesses but with this kind of service you just can't. read more

This small, quaint bar is an easy place to have a drink, hang out with friends, or enjoy a simple meal. I like to go on Wednesdays for Chicago steppin'. Other days they feature live jazz and blues. The dance floor is smooth and comfortable. While the atmosphere begs for dresses and heels, you'll be just as comfortable and welcome in jeans. The drinks are good - very reasonably priced! They serve tasty comfort food - catfish, chicken, fries etc. and a very fresh salad. The service is prompt and friendly. Clientele is cordial. read more

Hello friends. Carlos here to give you my take on fine dinning, good food, and entertainment. I had the pleasure of visiting the Lavender Blue Lounge last night. Where do I start? As you approach the establishment the great sound of jazz is bellowing from inside the lounge and can be heard from outside. My excitement grew as I walked closer and closer to the sound. As my girlfriend and I entered at about 7pm, we were impressed at the acoustics, the decor, and how pleasant the staff were. Jazz musicians were playing smooth jazz and the unique sound touched every corner of the building. Every seat in the house was a great seat. Most patrons were well dressed, and everyone attending was friendly and cordial. We were greeted by several hostest, who were friendly and projected warm and sincere smiles. We were escorted to our reserved seating, putting us directly in front of the band. It was apparent that all the musicians were well versed in their field. The lounge owner and a very nice musician and announcer "Jacquees" introduced the musicians as they came up to perform; and believe me when I say there was no shortage of talent that night. I wish I could remember names to give credit where credit is due, but I was too excited. They had it all. Bass players, drummers, guitar players, tenor saxs players, and trumpet player. Did I mention the female vocalist? There were numerous talented female singers that had a variety of vocal ranges. While we were in attendance, we had a meal and cocktails. The food was fresh and delicious. We had fried catfish, fried shrimp, chicken wings, and fried pickles. The food was served hot and in a timely manner. I couldn't believe that there was no charge to come in and listen to such great music! I don't know how they do it for free. All they had was a jar to drop tips in, and although the jar rspidly gilled with the apprecistive audiance, I would have had no problem paying anywhere from $20 to $40 dollars to come in. The only thing I would do differently would be to turn the 40 inch TV off during the the performances; it was a bit distracting. I can't wait to go back! If you want good food, talented performers, and a great evening out, the Lavender Blue Lounge is the place to be. I drove over an hour to get there, but I would drive to the moon and back to experience that again. I live streamed the show on Facebook with very positive comments See you next Sunday! read more

Attended a friend's birthday Party. Lucked up on parking. It seems it could be difficult. The atmosphere was that of a neighborhood spot. The DJ kept us on the floor all night. The servers were attentive and the cocktails easily flowed. The wings and fries were perfect to absorb some of the cocktails. It was a great celebration. Funny though...We were there the night of a recent earthquake... We were dancing and didnt feel it. The DJ announced the earthquake. We all stopped looked at the chandeliers swaying and...kept dancing the night away. read more

So I go there for an all black attire event and got there too late to get in for free. It was $10 which wouldn't have been a problem if there were a/c. It was like a sauna there. Women had their folded fans and the place was packed to the gills. Some people left and I would have too if I didn't get dropped off. The only reason I give three stars is for the guy at the door who provided laughs and the stuff drink I had. Thank God it was still happy hour. There was no place to sit so I resorted to the outside area where there were chairs under a tent near some trash cans. Most resorted there to smoke which I don't. I overheard people talking about how it's always like that there so with that being said and me being in my 40's and the youngest one there, I won't be back. The band was good and the set up was nice but no air is a huge turn off and having to pay on top of it, please. Where are all these 5 star reviews coming from? read more

I'll give 3 stars for now, but it might be 4 or 5... Let me explain, I we went on a Friday or Saturday night and the dance floor was EMPTY! I don't recall which night it was, but we sat around waiting for someone to come. It was me and my boyfriend, a lady at the bar eating chicken (which looked delicious) and a birthday party of eight people...well, eight chairs, but only four people were in attendance. I assume it was a birthday party because I saw one of their chairs adorned with balloons. On the other side there were probably about 3-5 people. Not many in the entire place. The parking situation was abysmal. Very tight, small lot. But, alas, there are some highlights: *The service was great...but then again there was no one else to really tend to, but it was great nonetheless *I read other reviews about the drinks being too expensive. Personally, I feel the prices were reasonably "normal"...come on it's a bar. You're gonna pay a premium on your food and drinks. That's how the real world works. Nothing to get upset over. *I liked the decor. It was really cute! *I enjoyed the DJ. He played a good mix of old school and new school...I definitely think the crowd is old school...but the music was good for all tastes. *It wasn't crowded...plenty seats. That was a huge plus! *Clean bathrooms *I read it was always hot...the temperature felt fine to us...but then again it was practically empty I will be sure to update my review if we return. I don't see why we wouldn't. My boyfriend was disappointed due to the emptiness, but I think it's possible to go back and see a crowd. Then, he'll probably not like the crowding. Haha! read more

Poor Management...Just because you have a Venue in the back room that doesn't mean you can't serve other people food in the other room Hire more people to work The girl told me I can't serve anyone else food because we're doing this venue... You can't Chew bubble and Roller skate I didn't get it .. what's stopping them to serve everyone in the building....unless they didn't have enough food ...again Poor Management read more

A hidden gem, great Jazz and I mean great Jazz on Sundays. Food-simply excellent. The catfish dinner is seriously affordable. My "not so little" neighborhood spot where people know my name. The drinks prepared by "T" and her staff are priced right. Outstanding values for your buck. There are nights for straight R & B, nights for learning Urban Ballroom Dancing and Stepping. And of course Sunday Jazz at 7pm. read more

A fairly good sized club, with live band and a good singer. The drinks were okay, the bar area was sufficient to sit and watch the show. Kinda like a supper club - without the supper. older crowd of people, regulars and couples. It was a nice visit for the holidays but it's not a do-over for me. read more

The bartender is amazing, she friendly, and knows her regular customers. The vibe of this place is cool! I went for a birthday party and I had a fantastic time. It is a grown and mature crowd. The club deco is lavender accent around the club. The lounge room is very nice and comfortable I just wish they had a table or something that you can put your drink on. Now don't get me wrong they have table and chairs in the area just not were the couch is at. The waitresses are on it. Their very attentive and the drinks are delicious. Music was also and Thursday are dj nights so you know it was none stop music. read more

I attend the mothers day buffet we were packed in like sardines and the food was less to desire. they rationed the food out as if we where at concertation camp,as seen on tv never again at those prices charged should we have been packed in there like that im sure it was a fire code hazard. oh live music was karaoke gone bad....had to pull the plug was done. read more

Dropped here on last Thursday by myself... was bit intimidated since I've never came to inglewood by myself, but was pleasantly surprised how great this bar was! Bartender was friendly and super quick to make me a appletini (BEST $5 I spent on cocktail), had really good happy hour menu and affordable food options as well. I was there momentarily and quick, so I didn't get to see any band/ crowd- but it was pleasant and space was clean and it left me good impression. Would definitely come back and check out more! read more

This was my first time here, and it turned out to be a real nice place. Heard about it from a couple friends, but hadn't had a chance To come By until now. It actually was the 50th bday party of my BF coworker. Music was great! Party was 20's theme, and DJ kept a good mixture of music playing, from today's hits, to old school, to oldies. Didn't get a chance to taste the food because there was food provided for the party, but I will return & will definitely try the food. The menue is very limited, but what can you expect from bar food. Seems like a great place to come if you want good music, and dancing. read more

Great location for good local talent. Wind Down Wednesdays are great. The only thing is eating there is a little expensive (2 chicken wings, fries, and coleslaw $8.00). Be sure to listen and support Joe Kinkade and the Soul Brothers. Lead singer and keyboardist Darry 'Duffy' Glenn can really lay it down. They have a good location, all parking is on the street near the location. If you arrive after 9pm, you may not have a seat and will definitely have to park farther away. read more

Dark, rich, not overdone. These brewmaster know what they are doing behind the bar... that is for sure. The real surprise though? They've got this back area that is just kind of charming. Good vibe, the kind of spot where you lose track of time without trying too hard. California has no shortage of breweries competing for your attention and your wallet... Five Points earns it. On a couple of different occasions, my family and I were treated to awesome live music by this band, Mixed Generations and food. Last summer, my nephews and I enjoyed music, hot dogs, chips, churros, and sodas. This most recent occasion, the hubby and I had chips, guac, beef and chicken tacos. All made with love as everything was tasty. From the bar I chose to get a ginger ale. The facility is capable of holding small to large events depending on which room of the lodge. The lodge is clean. The stage and lounge area is decorated in Hawaiian decor. Lastly, the Elks members are kind. Just lovely people. 4 stars.

Also waited for at least ten minutes after we were finished eating before having to flag down the wait staff for the bill. Be sure to get your parking ticket validated. Also the pricing is a bit high -- not as affordable for a lunch menu.
