Let me start off by saying I have never wrote a review in my life just because I'm not a reviewer, but this place made my day I had probably one of the worst days what felt like of my life. I go to the gym right next-door and I came in seeing if they sell just one slice of pizza the lady in the front that had the glasses on and the darker hair and was a mature woman she said let me go see and she came back nodding and smiling saying yes we do. She told me to wait for my pizza pepperoni to be exact. I waited no more than five minutes and then my pizza was ready when I went to go pay, they said it was on the house and just gave it to me. Run, do not walk, to Rustic Dough Works. Pleasant interior, soft music, and absolutely phenomenal food. We reserved for a party of 6 and were immediately sat. Server was nice and place was clean. Our table had meatball subs, pizzas, and salads. Highly recommend the Mellow Mushroom white pizza. The 12" pizza is generous and delicious. I will be loving my left overs. I feel bad doing this, as I have never reviewed a restaurant before, and I always try to support small and local. However, the multiple experiences me and my boyfriend have had between both Rustic Dough Works locations have been mid-to-poor to say the least, and we each were really wanting to give them a chance. This last time was really the last straw, I felt compelled to make a yelp account because it made me so upset. Note about the photos: yes I took it after a couple bites, but the problems I am about to note are still obviously evident in the disparity between their promo and what was given to me. Food: Downright misleading. Using AI generated pictures of your food makes me question what you are hiding, and now I know why. I would want to hide this too, the way this tasted. Somehow the AI generated food (and I absolutely hate AI) looks like it would have tasted better than the real thing... that says a lot. The noodles weren't even the right noodles (which the server acknowledged was one of the various kitchen mixups that night), the sauce was like taking a jarred vodka sauce and adding way too much cream or milk, it literally tasted like a flavorless cream sauce with a tint of orange. Its unfortunate because the chicken underneath all that seemed to be breaded and cooked pretty well. It's just that when I order penne ala vodka, I expect penne ala vodka, not fettuccini ala straight-up-cream. Service: Honestly that's the only redeeming quality here. The server was very nice and attentive, refilled drinks, refilled bread, etc. They even admitted to our dining party that the AI generated specials menus often look different than what the actual dishes are, and items featured on the dishes in the AI photos often do not even come in the real dishes. I respect the heck out of the server's honesty! Ambiance: The whole place is kind of small and cramped once they get busy (and they do!) and the art everywhere is super ugly AI generated things nobody wants to look at while they dine. Not a comfortable setting nor professional/expected nice dining-out environment at all. I knew going into this experience that they were big on AI based on their social media and two previous brief takeout experiences I've had here, but a friend chose here as their birthday dinner, and as my first sitting-in dining experience here, I didn't realize the full extent of how much it's really plastered all over the place. It's not really the kind of setting I'm expecting when dining out is such a luxury for many at this point, when I am looking to have that rare nice night out with a date or friends. Previously I had only done take out dining here. Between both locations, this was my third and final time attempting to understand the baffling local hype around Rustic Dough Works. Three strikes and you're out, I will not waste more money coming here again. read more

First of all this review is for the to go bakery side only. I've been here 3 times just for the bagels or cinnamon rolls to go. Everytime I've had it takes FOREVER. There only on person working in the front and she has to do everything for each person so when you order you wait for her to make the bagels and coffee and whatever you have before you take a new person order. Then I noticed they keep changing their prices. I went on Saturday last week it was all good I had the nicest lady ever. Then I went again yesterday and I asked for two bagels and she put them in a bag and I asked will she warm it up and add cream cheese because she didn't even ask and she's like oh that's separate charge, that's fine if it is but not once did she asked or anyone has said anything first time I've heard about an extra charge. I like it here but after that experience I don't know, I guess it depends on who you get. read more

What a great little place with nice bakery items and the lady at the counter was truly terrific... This pizza came up very fast. I ordered the one with the ricotta, garlic and pepperoni, and it is over the top. Good you can taste it. This sourdough definitely has been fermented and it is so delicious. 10/10 as always! I frequent Rustic Dough works 2-3 times a week and have always had a great experience. The food comes out fresh and taste homemade. I never leave without getting something from the bakery case. Usually a cinnamon roll or a Salted Caramel bread pudding. The cookie butter cheesecake is also a family favorite. I don't think you can go wrong when it comes to their desserts honestly. We absolutely love dining here and will keep coming back! read more

We were a party of four and went to RDW recently for the first time and what a pleasant surprise! The pizza was delicious and forget the desserts! The best looking bakery I've seen in a long time. The cheesecake is exceptional and the peanut chocolate cake, equally as good! What was really impressive was the service. Our server was Melia. She was extremely knowledgeable, pleasant and so attentive to every detail and request that was made. She didn't miss a beat and we're looking forward to going again and we definitely want her again. It is a very casual place and that is part of the charm because it was so comfortable we didn't want to leave. Again, the pizza was delicious but the menu looks really good and we're going again soon and we will try a dinner. We did see a number of dinners come out and they look good! Support this place. PC needs good quality food restaurants with good service, and this place is one of them. read more

Went to Rustic Dough Works in PC last night with three other couples. The food and the service was awesome! All the meals looked delicious, I had The Hog and Rube meal. It was perfect, just the right amount of broccoli, pork and pasta. The rolls for the table were fresh and hot, loved them. One couple had the pizza, loads of toppings, looked awesome. We'll try that next time. Await staff five stars and the food was also. You got to go! Heard the breakfast at the Flagler location is top notch, that's our next adventure. read more

Went for breakfast. I had an omelette with sliced potatoes. Huge portion. Delicious! My husband had classic eggs Benedict over sour dough toast. Outstanding. Had a heck of a time deciding what to get from the bakery case. Settled on a cinnamon roll, strawberry roll, orange/walnut biscotti, and a blueberry turnover. Sooooo good! Will be back. I've now eaten here three times total, one dinner each in Flagler Beach and Palm Coast plus a breakfast in Palm Coast. This place just isn't very good. The service can be quite great, and I want to shout out their great employees. None of my complaints are leveraged against them. It's the food that's lacking. I just don't think there's anything about Rustic Dough Works' pizza that elevates it above the other pizzerias in town. One bite and all your cheese is probably going to be separated from the slice. I've had multiple trips to confirm this is how they cook it. The flavor is acceptable but far, far less satisfying than several competitors'. The dough and crust itself isn't the worst - the sourdough flavor is certainly different and some people might like that. But with how charred it gets on the edges, it's not for my tastes. Not to mention this place has tacky AI photos of their food. I forgot to take pictures myself, but let's just say if their dishes were appetizing in their own right, they'd just post real photos of them. If you're looking for great local pizza, you'd be far better off with Terranova's, Rocky's, or Tony's. Rustic Dough Works, while not the worst out there, doesn't have enough appeal to make it worth the steep pricing of even an exploratory visit. read more

When you stop in, make sure that you see Gwen she is a phenomenal server and a manager. Tonight, me and my date had the lemon chicken over fettuccine absolutely phenomenal. Served with fresh broccoli and butter sauce delicious sweet bread and then for dessert. The cheesecake with lemon curd on top was to die for the service is always phenomenal. The food is phenomenal and the ambience is phenomenal. I have not had a bad meal here yet. Joe said we are glad to have them in Palm Coast. read more

We went there for an early dinner tonight, and we have found our new favorite Italian place, including pizza! The decor is lovely and the Sunday Supper was fantastic... this coming from someone who has eaten in Italy and has recipes from an Italian immigrant who was born in Sicily in 1908 via her grandson. We shared the Sunday Supper and each had the "small" house salads to accompany our three huge meatballs and marinara ... best I have ever had...over freshly prepared fettuccine. We had no room for any of the delicious looking pastries, and brought home leftovers. Our waitress was excellent, very friendly and attentive! We are already planning our next visit! read more

Amazing American-Italian food and pizza (both Neapolitan and NY style!). Fantastic selection of dessert and everything I've tried was delicious.. not to mention much of it is made with sourdough.. so it's much easier to digest. Owner often comes out to chat with all the patrons and to make sure all the food is to their liking. Great family atmosphere. Sam and Haleigh are great servers.
