Still one of my favorite stops when visiting St. Augustine. If you come an hour after they open they serve sandwiches. Which are amazing and so big you can share it and still have leftovers! I love the iced mocha. You are missing out if you don't grab a cinnamon bun! Even if you can't eat now, save it for later!

Freida's has a fair selection of pastries! Seen was chocolate croissants, regular croissants, cinnamon buns, almond croissants and some choices of their bread. I ordered two almond croissants, cinnamon bun, iced chai and an iced mocha latte. The Iced Mocha latte didn't have any taste, Iced Chai was very good! Almond croissants were good and cinnamon buns are great as well! Service was fair, they're popular so expect some delay! This is a cute spot with outside seating perfect for family gatherings!

    The Salumi - just a 1/2!

Incredible spot. The Italian sandwiches are outstanding and tied for my top 5. Freida's baked goods are delicious. They use homemade focaccia. I had a salumi - insane. Som #2 had the prosciutto and big brother chose the Mortadella. All of the ingredients are perfection. They don't skimp on anything. We would have gone several more times but they closed for the New Year's holidays. Based on our watching them work, a rest is well-deserved! The staff is friendly and helpful. The young lady who who works the counter is extraordinary how she keeps things moving and has the patience of a saint. There may be a line. Get in it. It's worth a little investment of your time and it will "deliver!"

You have to get there early - delightful variety of French Pastries. Love their unique pretzel croissants. Pimento Cheese spread is amazing. Great sandwich- take-out or enjoy their lovely garden setting.

Came upon this family owned bakery on my recent trip to Crescent Beach, Fl. I live fresh baked bread as opposed to the processed grocery store breads! I had to try it. Purchased the baguettes and the sourdough bread, both were really good and I will definitely go back there on my next visit!! Try them out!

I hesitate to give them five stars even though this is five star food for sure. The couple running this VERY small bakery is making food so much better than there competitors in that they are already too busy. I got there ten minutes after they open on a Friday and there were about a dozen people in line to get in side. It moved pretty quick but there were a few issues. I got out of there with a sizable to-go order in about 30 min. They did not have lunch sandwiches available in the morning but everything I tried was top notch. Ham and cheese croissant was incredible. Sourdough loaf was definitely the best around. I had a pastry with a perfectly executed macchiato and they have a wide variety of imported provisions available too. There is Olive Oil, Pasta, pickles and olives and such it is very European. I will be back when I can make it work but limited hours and likelihood of running out of things quickly will make it a challenge. Five star food no doubt.

Went to Frieda's bakery this morning and all I can say is WOW! This place was absolutely amazing! It smelled so good inside. It is a very small place so it's a little tight and there was a line but it was 1000% worth the wait. There is plenty of outside seating. I could have very easily gotten 1 of everything they had today. I had the Black Forest ham and Gruyère croissant which was one of the best food items I've had in a long time. The pretzel Croissant was also very good. Got some focaccia bread, chocolate croissant, and cheese and scallion biscuit as well which I haven't tried yet but can't imagine they'd be anything other than fantastic. I hate to even share this as I want to keep this place all to myself lol but seriously if you go check them out.

    Morning bun.

Only came here for the bagels and absolutely loved it! It's a small shop so the parking does suck. But it's all worth it.

Their croissants are amazing. That's all I've had, but they are so fresh. A little pricey but great quality.

Such a super atmosphere, friendly folks, delicious goods, kind patrons. The best croissant outside of Paris, in my humble opinion.

We were hoping to try…read moretheir pastéis de nata, reminiscent of our travel to Portugal, but they were sold out during our visit. Environment: The space was tidy and well-ventilated, with the pleasant whiff of coffee, pastries, and fresh bread in the air. The glass display cases for the pastries and seasonal cookies were clean, and the backsplash and tiling gave the bakery a modern feel. The bathrooms were clean as well. Food: We ordered 3 pastries: a fruit tart, cream-filled bread, and a chocolate-mousse-like dessert. Unfortunately, the tart shell was somewhat dry and crumbly, though the cream was light, cool, and sweet. Juicy strawberries, tart kiwi, and earthy blackberries topped the tart. When I bit into the pillowy-soft cream-filled bread, it was generously stuffed with cream and dusted with powdered sugar! As for the chocolate-mousse like dessert, it had a soft shell with chocolate cake at the bottom and fluffy chocolate cream; overall it was semi-sweet. To accompany the pastries, we sipped on robust, full-bodied, freshly brewed espresso. Service and Flow: The two ladies at the counter were nice, serving us quickly.
