I first came here a few years ago and really liked the canned cocktails and peach pie moonshine. Everywhere has apple pie moonshine (this place does, too), but not everywhere has peach pie! It makes a great cocktail with some lemonade and lemon juice to take down the sweetness. My most recent visit was this past weekend. I went into the store with the intention on just grabbing a bottle of moonshine and I ended up trying a pickleback sample (whiskey and pickle moonshine), buying more than I planned and getting to chat with the owner for a while. My mom got a bottle of their blueberry infused vodka and got to try a spiked blueberry lemonade, and I'm looking forward to making some of those at home! We'll definitely stop at Ridge Runner again during our next trip to the Farmington/Ohiopyle area, and maybe next time we'll be lucky enough to have some food outside and some more drinks! I had no idea this brewery was here until a recent trip to Rocky Gap Resort. No matter where I travel I always find every brewery through Yelp and try to hit up as many as possible. It's located on an old farm and its whole vibe screams, "Come on in and enjoy yourself!" I love the space the people who own this have created. The outside area is open, airy, and peaceful. Then I tried their Schwartzbier on Nitro, excellent. And then their Kolsh was every bit as good. AND, the kicker every beer is $5 except a dollar extra for the nitro. I told her "heck you can't even get a Bud Lite in most places for $5" She told me they save a lot on shipping charges Every beer is brewed right there. And great West Virginia decor. I'll be back!!
