We went there twice and got a bunch of stuff: their straightforward coffees like cappuccino to their 'fancier' ones like salted polar bear (salted caramel, white hot chocolate mochaccino); their sweets like the creme brulee cake and pumpkin whoopie pie; and their more savoury stuff like an asparagus phyllo pastry. Service was also impeccable: friendly, efficient, with just a touch of homey-ness to make you feel welcome every visit. Overall, I thought their offerings were good but a tad too sweet, while my wife loved all of them. Whatever the case, we definitely agreed that this is worth a visit (or two) if you're in the area.

After days of camping, we were craving a change and stumbled upon this cozy shop in Mindemoya. It serves a variety of coffee, smoothies, pastries, and even matcha! My partner and I ordered the matcha frappe and salted caramel mocha. The matcha was delicious and tasted like a sweetened matcha frappe similar to what Starbucks serves. The salted caramel mocha was amazing, but it was a bit too sweet for me. Next time, I'll ask for half-sweetened. Overall, this cafe is simply amazing in Mindemoya. If you're ever in the area, highly recommend giving them a try! The staff is patient and very nice. I'll definitely be back!

My wife stumbled onto this place while site seeing with visiting friends. Originally I believe it just started out as a bakery. And they bake just about everything. Cookies, bread, rolls, hamburger buns, cinnamon rolls, pies, brownies, lemon bars, date squares, etc. It's a quant little place that seats about 20-30 but there are picnic tables outside and there is a nice little waterside park right before you cross over the bridge (on the way there). All of their menu items are made 100% in house. Pizzas are made with their dough recipe. Aside from their regular menu they have an advertised special daily. On Thursdays they serve the best fish and chips on the continent. We make the 40 minute drive at least twice a month just for that. Their daily specials are posted on Facebook. So if you're driving on Highway 17 and you're going past St Joseph's Island do yourself a favor and take the 10 minute detour. They are open from 7am - 2pm for regular menu items and until 6 for their daily specials and take out.

We waited to checkin at the office/bar/ restaurant for 10-15 minutes before anyone even acknowledged us. There were 2 women working making drinks. They saw us and never said a word. A simple "i'll be with you in a minute" would have gone a long way. We weee never given any rules, directions, check out times. The next time we went for breakfast. Although there was food in the serving trays, they made us wait for at least 15 minutes before we could go up for food. By the time we were able to eat, the place was packed. Saturday night we attended a wedding reception. Instead of using a tray, servers brought out 2 plates at a time. With almost 100 people there, our food was cold. The prime rib was very grizzly and tough. Even after requesting steak knives, it could barely be cut. The biggest disappointment and instant turnoff was the owner. When he was questioned about a situation, he became very loud, was pointing his finger in a guests face and was using profanity. His attitude, demeanor, and lack of professionalism was a total disgrace and unbelievable! Never have i experienced something like this!
