Very cool place has every thing you could need the earrings are so cool I love them! Great for gifts! All the workers were so nice and had smiles on their faces. I want to give it a better rating, however, I just can't. The coffee shop, located through the back of a gift shop, is cute and all and the girl that waited on us was polite, but that's about it. The location has a lot going for it and it has potential, but my experience wasn't that great. We stopped in on a road trip up north. We were in desperate need of some serious caffeine, I.E. the strongest coffee they had. It took a long time to order, the girl behind the counter was working alone and in the weeds, trying to accommodate the people in front of us. By the time she got to our order, we were pretty tired, restless and in need of something with caffeine to perk up for the long road trip ahead back down state. I stressed that we wanted strong black coffee, no cream, definitely not decaf. She kept repeating back to me, "decaf, okay,?" Not okay, no. I told her again, not decaf and she said she got it right. Well, in not so many words, what we paid for and received and what we ordered were different things. Not cool. I nearly fell asleep behind the wheel and needed to stop and get some real coffee on the way back home. I was nearly in a car accident! When someone orders regular coffee, they 100% expect caffeinated coffee, not freaking decaf. That was dangerous, as well as being a screw up on her end. Other than being not what I ordered and almost getting into a major car wreck on a trip because of lack of caffeine, the coffee tasted stale and was definitely not hot. My wife spilled some on herself after ordering and it was lukewarm and weak as hell. At least it didn't burn her arm or hand. It was so weak that the coffee didn't even stain her white tank top. Dark roasted coffee would have left a mark, but not this stuff. It didn't taste fresh and I am betting it sat around all day in the coffee pot. What a disappointment. The shop is nice, but in this case, it would have been nice to have a Starbucks or Coffee Beanery nearby. read more

You wouldn't guess that this place has great coffee based on the fact that it is in the back of a strange jewelry/toy/hippie however if you venture into this place and follow the hand written in marker & scotch taped to the wall signs to the coffee shop nestled in the back you will find the second best Cappuccino I have ever had, their ice cream is also extremely good. read more

As I entered the back, where the Café is, I could feel a mood shift. Staff were not properly wearing masks, were either new and nervous, or just very undertrained, and did not provide standard customer service. As good as it gets in Rogers City. This is a cafe, art gallery, and gift shop rolled up into one. Oh, with free wireless internet too! I absolutely love to come in here just to look at all the cool things that they have: handcrafted woodwork, handmade mittens and scarves, greeting cards, soaps, lotions, jewelry, handmade anything! If you decide to pay The Painted Lady a visit, don't forget to check out the 2nd floor jam-packed of paintings and prints ranging from regional landscapes to Ansel Adam prints. They feature a variety of nautical stuff from books to tea. Oh, one more tip: make sure you look up when you go in because they tend to display alot of cool stuff hanging from the ceiling or up on shelves. We tried The Painted Lady on the day after Labor Day because they offered free wifi. We will return whenever we are in the area because our Mocha Lattes were incredible, because we felt welcomed, because we got into a couple of very engaging conversations, and because we found some unusual items there that will enhance our lifestyle. I love this little store as soon as I walked in I was hooked. Such nice people and service. They even for free did a ceramic hand print of my 1yr old, that we were able to design and paint on. Only 5 dollars for shipping. I will go there every visit. Wonderful little shop. read more

Totally deceptive appearance from the outside. You're actually wondering into a magical shop with various overstuffed yet super clean rooms. Room one is a charming shop and framing store. There are two rooms of quality imagination toys, a quality cafe with delicious coffee and ice cream shop. Finally, a little area for pottery painting area. I feel like I'm underselling this place though. I bought some headbands but would have made several more purchases had I had more money on me! read more

This store is worth a trip to Rogers City. The coffee was fabulous - such an extensive menu of drinks, including smoothies. Best iced caramel latte I've ever had. Seriously. Along with the coffee, the store itself has a lot of fun, interesting items. From the outside, the store looks tiny, but you step inside and find that it continues far into the back, even a Christmas room, and kids room. I loved their selection of scarves and kitchen items, lots of fantastic art too, it is just filled with treasures! read more
