Stopped here for lunch on our way home from the lakes. Surprised but happy they were open since there aren't many options on Sundays out this direction. Server was very friendly and took our order quickly. Food came out a little at a time, so we all had to wait a bit. Didn't bother us. Three of us had breakfast (which is served all day) and the other a catfish sandwich. Biscuits, gravy, eggs, hashbrowns, bacon and pancakes were all on point. They ran out of sausage gravy but gave us sausage chunks to add on ourselves. Tasted even better. Everyone was happy with their food and portions. read more

Anyone that is familiar with small town eateries will appreciate the value and atmosphere of this restaurant. Anyone that expects "big city" results....well that is not what this place is about. The food and service are fantastic. No matter when you go the wait service is friendly and extremely competent. The food is excellent, o matter what you order. The only time I have seen anything less is when the customer was "too big" for the establishment, and I mean their attitude. This is the best local eatery in Warsaw, and everyone should give it a try when in the area. 10 *'s for the Rusty Skillet. If you have a problem with smoking....keep it to yourself of go somewhere else if it is such a problem for you. Bad idea. Get back in your car and just go to sonic. After a hour plus wait I noticed the takeout orders being prioritized over sit down dining. How long does it take to cook two steaks? 20 mins max I say. But the waitresses were more than happy to press us for our order like it was the end of the world. Then proceed to shit talk another group that walked out because they were going to retire before getting a chance to eat. I really wish the best of luck to this business owner in there next endeavour, running a restaurant just isn't in the cards for them. Also clean the dam bathroom that's just gross. read more

Very good food, fast service, and friendly staff. The only down side to this adorable diner is they allow smoking, I am guessing the owner/management smokes cause they have a few non smoking tables in this tiny restaurant as if it makes a difference. They would have gotten 5 stars if there were no smoking at all. read more

Stopped here for lunch on Memorial Day, expecting a bit of a wait. Took the only open table and our orders were taken promptly. Our server didn't mention anything about how long it might take for our food to come out. An hour later, after watching two other tables storm out angrily and having received no update from our server (she wouldn't even make eye contact with us) we approached the cashier instead and were told that our food still wasn't even on the grill. I understand every kitchen has trouble keeping up sometimes so I might have been willing to overlook today's bad experience as a one-off. Until we said we we're leaving and instead of offering an apology, our server demanded that we pay for the sodas she had never even bothered to refill, making it blatantly clear that this place doesn't care one iota about repeat business. Needless to say, we won't be back. read more

Found this on yelp early in the morning at Truman. A great breakfast at a great price. Try the cobbler, you won't be disappointed.

Average breakfast fare, very good coffee, average prices, above average waitress and a ridiculous non-smoking "section". The restaurant is small and long with about half a dozen booths and about the same number of tables. Three of the booths in the center of the restaurant have "no smoking" signs. Booths and tables on either side of us had no signs. We weren't there long before cigarette smoke was wafting around us. We'll not return until we read that there is a total smoking ban. We feel sorry for the employees. read more
