I've been to the RAC several times in the past twenty years and it's time to review this venue. As an athletic center I will review the physical plant and the facilities. The Louis Brown Athletic Center was built in 1977 with a capacity crowd of 8000. It replaced the antiquated College Avenue Gym ( the Barn ). It is the home of the men's & women's basketball teams. The seating is very comfortable in the lower sections(100's) and poor in the higher nosebleed areas ( 200's-300's ). You get what you pay for. In the 300 area I see there are no backs to the seats. If you go that high bring a cushion to sit on. There are areas that sell Rutgers clothing and other memorabilia $$$. The snack stands sell the usual arena food, nothing really healthy. Since you can't bring in any food from the outside, you either don't eat or you pay the piper. There are many attendants to help you find your seat. I felt parking to be a rip $10 and you still have to walk a quarter mile to get inside. Since RU is in the Big 10, they charge big time, since the last time I was there.

Arena recently updated but still has a high school feel unfortunately. Regarding Rutgers men's basketball tickets are affordable but arena is no comparison to other Big Ten arenas across the country. Concessions priced competitive to minor league baseball. Hot dogs $5 pretzels $3 candy $4. Great way to spend an afternoon at an affordable price with family. One thing I noticed, security will NOT allow you to bring umbrellas inside for whatever reason. It was raining and security was making fans walk back to the car to drop it off which pissed off quite a few people.

Packed as we did not receive a cup for first 18000. Honestly, we met a friend outside the stadium for libations. We might of made it if we did not detour. What did we have? The facility bathrooms were crowded at various points, but intra-inning you were ok. The Ford MVP Club - not worth much - while you have a bar, it was understaffed, and the food was just so-so (some better options outside). Free water, popcorn, soda, and peanuts but no bathroom of your own. Was "included" in the section 116 tickets but when you buy, recognize that you need to get a separate app to load the tickets on - not a fan of that at all. You get a bracelet so you can re-enter later. Fun was the No Tarp crowd that grew mid-game and was noisy even in a 2-9 loss to the Tigers. Ice cream in a little Yankees cap is fun, as is the bucket of chicken. The cups (shakers for some mixed drinks) and the stadium cup for a mixed Jim & diet were nice takeaways (plastic though).

We were fortunate enough to enjoy the game from a suite through my husband's company, which included plenty of complimentary food and beverages. If it's your first visit, be sure to let a staff member know so you can receive a complimentary First Game Certificate as a special keepsake. The team store was also impressive, offering a huge variety of souvenirs for fans of all ages, from babies to adults. Overall, it was a memorable experience and a wonderful way to spend a day at the ballpark.

We spent some extra time exploring the stadium too, which made it even more fun. It feels like a great spot for a family outing, with decently priced tickets for a Major League game. Getting there is also really easy via public transit on the 7 train. There's also a large parking lot available, though it is on the pricier side at around $50. Overall, it's a solid stadium experience and definitely worth visiting whether you're a baseball fan or just going for the atmosphere.

You can hear the crack of the bat and the chatter from the dugout without straining. Baseball as it should be seen. The Delaware River runs right behind the outfield. On hot nights the breeze rolls in off the water. It cools the air, turns the place into something comfortable when the rest of New Jersey is sweating. That is not something you can engineer. That is geography being kind. Parking is easy. Five dollars. Cash only. Plentiful and close. In a world where stadium parking often feels like extortion, this is practically charity. The food is not just food. It is a catalog of local pride. Case's Pork Roll. Killarney's. Rita's Italian Water Ice. Raccoon Saloon. Alongside these sit Colbie's Southern Fried Chicken and Boomer's BBQ. If none of that calls to you there are still the old standards. Hot dogs. Pretzels. Popcorn. Nachos. The ballpark classics are covered. There is even a picnic area down the left field line for groups who want baseball and burgers in equal measure. The ballpark is easy to get to. Right on Route 29 by the riverfront. Quick access to 29, 129, I-195, and I-295. No mazes. No confusion. A night here is affordable, easy, and close to the event in every sense. Five stars.

SteelStacks in Bethlehem absolutely surprised me in the best way…read more I'm used to the massive MusikFest setup, so rolling up to a smaller, all-grass stage felt totally different but honestly? It ended up being one of the most fun concert nights I've had in forever. I saw Set It Off, Zero 9:36, and Hollywood Undead... in the pouring rain... and it somehow made everything even better. The whole lawn has a gentle hill so you can see the stage from pretty much anywhere. Plus it's all general admission, which means you can wander, get closer, hang back by the buildings, sprawl out on the grass whatever fits your vibe in the moment. The acoustics were solid, the energy was wild, and we even got to meet a few of the Zero 9:36 guys afterward, which basically cemented the night as iconic. If you like flexible viewing, good sound, and concerts that turn into core memories because of the weather, the chaos, and the crowd SteelStacks is absolutely worth it.

Everything said in the other 5 star reviews is true.... But this is a food review (not a beer…read morereview , plenty of beer and good music.) If you come hungry, leave hungry. The food is dreadful, cold fries, dry, cold smash burger with a pickle glued to the bun with what I hope was cheese. Thank god for the ketchup. It was the only thing that made the food eatable. The dessert option included Italian water ice, which were chemically infused cherry flavored frozen ice without wooden spoon, just bendie plastic spoons available in plastic wrapped knife, fork and spoon napkin sets leaving you to toss the unused utensils in the trash, for the $3.00 price of the water ice you can afford the 10 cent paper wrapped biodegradable wooden spoons!
