Dr. Ruth and Allie and the office staff are wonderful. They make going to the dentist as much fun and as easy as possible for my two year old boy. The play area is great to keep him busy while we wait. Allie explains everything she is doing to my little guy and lets him explore all the equipment so nothing is scary. My son is 7 years old and has never allowed a dentist to do any work on his teeth until he saw Dr. Ruth Becker. For the first time, after many years of attempts with other dentists we got X-rays, sealants and cleaning done in two visits!!!! After the first visit, he did not want to leave her office. I took my 2-year old, handful of a boy, to see Dr. Ruth for his first visit to the dentist. I was very nervous anticipating how my toddler would react. Surprisingly, he ran right into the room and started playing in the play corner. He seemed to feel right at home. Allie had such a great energy and my son was very comfortable with her. When they were ready, we entered into the room and Allie showed him a video. It was a cute video of a monkey brushing his teeth. It was hard to keep his attention because he really wanted to play by the toddler height sinks. Allie and Dr. Ruth were both SO patient with him. They had various strategies to catch his interest and get him comfortable. He did cry a little when they were working in his mouth but they took breaks to let him play with the water and suction tools. After they were done, Dr. Ruth took her time with me and discussed healthy habits and recommended her preferred types of toothpaste and floss. She was very sweet. My son didn't want to leave!! I left feeling so amazing because I was so nervous but it turned out to be a great experience for both of us. I would definitely recommend Dr. Ruthy Toothy. read more

Dr. Ruthy Toothy really liked this dentist. I called and was given an appointment right away (Thanks you Cindy). I was really impressed with the level of attention we received and the professionalism of the staff. We were greeted right away and shortly after Cindy showed us to the room where my children was going to receive treatment. I was very surprised to not have to wait for hours before being seen like at many other places. Cindy was very friendly, welcoming and warm, just what you need when going to the dentist. Before reaching the room, my children Dr. Ruthy Toothy got then all set up and went over their chart with us. She filled everything out and explained everything to me leaving me with no questions or concerns. They took X-rays and shortly after the Dr. Ruthy Toothy came in. She was very pleasant, kind and thorough. She explained everything to my son & daughter and told them everything Dr. Ruthy Toothy was going to do. After she was done, she showed and explained to me the next step for my son's and daughter dental needs. They were all very nice checking up on us at every transition and though this all sounds like it took forever, it didn't. They really know what they are doing and they made everything flow nicely. At the end Cindy went over the dentist recommendations and treatment plan and explained everything covered by my insurance and copayments. She broke everything down for me and I gotta say it was nothing like what I was expecting (which was a very good thing) We have our next appointment set up and I am just so happy to have found a great dentist for my kids. Dr. Ruthy is the absolute best!!! I wish I had been taken to a dentist like her when I was a child, I believe I wouldn't have such a dentist phobia now. I just wish I had found her sooner. I have a daughter with ASD (autism spectrum disorder ) and we've been to 3 pediatric dentists and no one was able to put her in dental chair except Dr. Becker. She's really good with kids as well as her Dental assistant Ali. They let the kids play first and and get comfortable before asking them to sit in the chair. I'd been delaying my daughter's first dentist visit for months but we finally did it, and thank goodness we did it with Dr. Ruth Becker because she and her staff, Ally and Angie, are wonder workers! So patient and sweet with my shy and apprehensive 20-month old who trusts no one but me. My daughter is one tough cookie, but they patiently spent half an hour prepping/educating her and getting her comfortable before performing any type of examination/procedure. I'd been preparing myself for a visit full of crying and distress but she barely made a peep! They were able to keep her intrigued, distracted, and even WANTING to get their "bubble" instruments in her mouth by the end of the appointment! We have only had the best experience with Dr. Ruthie, and we've been to 2 other pediatric dentists who scared my son half to death and it was traumatic, to say the least. She only treats what is necessary and completely puts the kids at ease, telling them stories and making them smile. We've had nothing but great experiences with Dr Ruth (Ruthy Toothy). My daughter's first visit to her was at age 3 for her first exam and then again at age 4 for First x-rays. She had her dress up like a princess for her first visits and they were so so sweet and loving with her while giving her professional care. At almost 8 years old now, although wearing the princess dresses to see Dr Ruthy has ended, she STILL gets so excited when I tell her she has a dental appointment. Dr Ruthy still sings funny songs, calms her during dental work and gives her a reward when the appointment is over. She even influenced my daughter's 1st grade science fair egg-speriment so Dr hung it in her waiting room. I've gone to the dentist all my life and have never had a traumatic experience yet 40+years of dental appointments later, I still DREAD dental visits. Dr Ruthy has instilled in my daughter a calm and understanding that the dentist is a helper who will teach her how to keep a healthy mouth and a pretty smile and a dentist is not someone to be feared. We've just come from our first visit with Dr. Becker and I wish we'd found her years ago! This isn't a big office that squeezes in as many patients as they can into each hour of the day. It's calm, cozy and relaxed. The cheerful plants, toys and photos papering the walls made it feel like being at my Gran's house instead of a clinical environment. Very clean, modern office but not sterile at all in personality. Our daughter was greeted with a cute sign welcoming her by name! Dr. Ruthie introduced herself with hugs and we were ushered in to our appointment right away. Her staff were just as warm, patient and considerate. They took the time to make our daughter feel comfortable and to educate her on proper self care while getting to know us through real conversation rather than just going down a list of formalities. We have been taking our children to Dr. Becker ("Ruthy Toothy") as early as our pediatrician recommended they see a dentist. Our children are 9 and almost 11. I did a lot of research and visited several pediatric dental offices before choosing Dr. Becker (and it was an easy decision once I talked with her). Dr. Becker has always been amazing. Her attention to detail as well as her "chairside manner" are impeccable (a very rare combination). She is also so accommodating. Today, (the last business day of 2016), was my last day off from work and I needed to take my daughter in so she could have two cavities filled and four sealants for her permanent molars as she is set to get braces in January. I called Dr. Becker's office this morning at 10:30 am and I asked if my daughter could be "squeezed in" today and the office manager (Angie) checked with Dr. Becker and she allowed me to bring my daughter in. She worked on my daughter for 1 hour and 10 minutes straight and did an amazing job (at a price lower than most pediatric dentists). She allowed me to stay in the room the entire time and I held my brave daughter's hand. All I can say is WOW!! My daughter is 15 months and we decided to bring her in because her teeth were coming in in a different order and just to start getting her comfortable with a dentist office. That's exactly what we got from this office: COMFORT!! First we made an appointment and they emailed me the forms to fill out ahead of time (love offices that are proactive to save you time). We came in and she loved all the toys in the waiting area and we both felt comfortable. I can't say enough about Dr. Ruth and her assistant. They LOVEEE kids and it shows. Very knowledgeable and friendly. They have many distractions in the office for kids that may be scared of a dentist office. They set aside and personalized an entire hour for us so we didn't feel rushed and my daughter could take her time to get familiar. Overall experience was 10 stars! We took our twins for the first dentist visit and they keep asking to go back! Ally was great at explaining everything and walking them through their "tooth party." My one daughter injured her front tooth, and Dr. Irena explained what to watch for an suggested we get an x-ray at some point. We opted to do it right there since she was in such a good mood, and we got the image first try! The sign greeting my daughters as we walked in was such a nice touch.
