My son did not do well with getting a cavity filling treatment. He had a runny nose and I don't think he got enough gas when they put the shot in his mouth. He felt it and had a horrible outburst. He was thrashing and screaming. It's was honestly really bad and embarrassing. They were really good at dealing with him but I wish they would have just told us to hold off. He was not able to get it filled that day, they did put a coating on it. We went back and one of the dentists seemed nervous about his previous behavior and said we could put another coating on it instead. My husband and I didn't agree so we went back again. Another dentist said it needed to be taken care of immediately. They ended up treating it and it went well, no freak outs. A lot of different opinions. It was a learning experience for me. I am very satisfied with this place. They have exceptional service and are very professional and friendly. From the lobby to the service areas are always so clean and kid friendly. I been coming here now 2 years and my kids love it and they look forward to coming to the dentist. That is so rare right!? But they have had a lovely experience with their dentist.. everyone is so friendly and kind to them and they always get treated well. No cavities for them. There's never a time where I waited so long . They are well at organizing their time slots that you come in and you're called right away. The inside it's always so clean and colorful. Maybe that's another reason why kids love it . My kids during X rays in the beginning they were not able to complete and the staff was always so patient with them never did they feel forced or scared. Now they do it. My son had an appointment scheduled in November to get his bottom braces. Unfortunately, he got sick with a cough, so I had to reschedule. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I expected the office to offer an appointment close to the original date, but instead they pushed it back by three months.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Had I known how difficult it would be to reschedule or how busy this office is, I would have chosen a different orthodontist[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]--especially since my oldest son had a much better experience elsewhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I want other parents to be aware that if you need to reschedule, they may not accommodate you and will only offer appointments months later.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This delay has now pushed my son's braces treatment back significantly, which is very frustrating and disappointing. [[HIGHLIGHT]]While I'm here waiting, they had called another patient waiting for her appointment just to tell them they need to reschedule because they are very behind in schedule.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They are given another month later appointment the mom said she already waited for this appointment for 3 months and now has to wait another month. She also took time to take off work and the daughter had to miss school. Now it's my turn been waiting for 30 mins now and they just called me just to tell me now the wait time is 3 hours long for my son. This office accepted too many patients more than they can handle. This was our first visit to Children's Happy Teeth, and I was genuinely impressed with the experience. I arrived a little late for our appointment and was honestly worried we might be turned away or rushed through. Thankfully, that wasn't the case at all. The staff remained patient, welcoming, and understanding. Despite my tardiness, we were still seen and never once felt like we were being rushed out the door. While waiting, I did witness a mother unfortunately exhibiting behavior that seemed rooted in entitlement. Not only did she arrived late, she tried to be seen upon her late arrival ‍ She was being quite rude and disruptive. It's one thing to advocate, but creating stress for the doctor and staff in a room full of other parents and children felt unnecessary and inappropriate. Despite that, Dr. Hodges and her team remained calm and professional throughout. Dr. Hodges, Myesha and Vanessa were wonderful, patient, kind, and thorough. They answered all of my questions, treated my 6 yr. old child with warmth and care, and made feel completely at ease. Do not come here lol. The good reviews are from parents of children who just go to regular routine check ups, braces, and those who didn't do their research at other places to compare prices. I went to 3 different dentist after a disaster of an experience and you guys are ripping people off. And adding extra work so you can get paid. First of all, she saw 3 different people in 3 visits. All saying different things. They billed my insurance for x rays for my first visit which were never done so they don't even know how my child's teeth improved after 6 months because of lack of imaging. Yes, each appt is rushed after they make you sit in the lobby even if empty. Real honest review. At first yes, this seemed like a good office but look past the tvs, murals, toys, and friendly ways they talk to your kids. I showed up to my child's scheduled appt after working OT for extra fees, after coming from a grave yard shift and being awake for 30 hours, just for the dentist to say she's not going to do it because of my child's age AND then said my baby needed 4-6 root canals on top, and a few on the bottom. That's thousands of dollars. THOUSANDS. On a 3 year old?? They should have called ahead of time. Suddenly at this appt there were several new problems that suddenly presented. I asked why wasn't this stated and her two prior appts?..... the dentist, had the audacity to tell me to my face "well she wrote it in the notes." What? If it's in the notes, IT SHOULDVE BEEN DISCUSSED WITH A PARENT! Lack of communication. Lack of professionalism. "I'm going to talk to my office manager" does nothing for me because you guys are only interested in money. Further clarified by the fact that yall submitted a claim for services for an appt I showed up to just for yall to cancel.... I didn't bother getting anyone's name. Steer clear. To put further in perspective. They Quoted me $976 (BEFOFE the additional needed services) just for 2 crowns. Which they stated white ones aren't covered by my insurance. As they were trying to bill for ZIRCONIA. You guys are full of it. I was quoted $994 for 2 root+crown and to fix all other cavities (my child has a few unfortunately). AND her COMPOSITE WHITE crowns are covered. AND she only needed 2.... Not 6+. I immediately called my insurance to file a grievance and file a claim and my benefits are being returned back to me after further evaluation. This place needs to be audited and reported. Go elsewhere or please get a SECOND opinion if they are suggesting expensive work for your children. They do not care about the actual health, just money. Your child is just another number UNLESS you've been going there for years and established a bond with everyone. read more

We had an appointment for 9:30 am, checked in when we got there. Lobby was packed. We waited for 30 minutes mind you we had an appointment. Couple minutes later we get a text that we missed our appointment. When we asked the ladies at the desk, they just said sorry we will check. Proceeded to wait another 10 minutes before I had to ask for a follow up. By this time all the people that had come after us had already been seen. I would like to see more attention to detail. Today was my sons first dental visit. I was dreading this appointment due to him being non verbal and very picky with the people he allows to touch him. What started as him freaking out and not wanting to have anyone even look at his teeth, turned into him letting them check everything out and even apply fluoride. I had a horrible experience with the receptionist Sarah. She talks with sarcasm and does not hear you out. I had to go twice and wait due to miscommunication from her. I also saw how she i detached with a different parent and how she was just repeating herself and made the other parent feel stupid. She might have a sweet voice but her sarcasm behind it is unacceptable. The other 2 girls are nice but Sarah doesn't meet to how you guys are in the back and the drs are also great.
