Very happy my insurance switched and I was forced to find a new doctor. PIH cerritos has so far…read morebeen a positive experience. 5/5 easy to find a physician- pih website has many reviews of all their physicians with pictures. 4/5 scheduling appts. I called to inform I'm a new patient. Receptionist took my info and said she had to verify I was covered before making my appt. she never called me back. The next morning I called and was verified over the phone immediately (maybe the other girl was too busy for me) and schedule my appt for the next week and said anytime before the day of my appt I could walk in and have my blood drawn (great! No orders or referrals needed) in the same office. 3.5-4 wait time. Since I was a first time patient they gave me an iPad to use to fill out my forms. I was also able to sWipe my credit Card to save on file for any future payments. This is great since my previous doctors was cash/check only. This process took about 15 min (lots of personal questions, emergency contact, past medical history). After that it took another 15-20 min to be called in to see The doctor. My appt. was 9:20a. I arrived at 9:05a and was on my way home 10:40a 5/5 staff and doctor. My doctor was really nice, informative, knowledgeable and sincere in listening to my problems. She cared about my health AND mental wellbeing. Staff for check in was professional and thorough. Phlebotomist was a young Hispanic girl that was also very nice. However, there's was an older Hispanic phlebotomist that stuck me 3 times even though I told her if she's using that vein then only a butterfly needle would work with that vein. She didn't listen. See pic posted. 5/5 facility. It's easy to find. Both times I've visited I found parking right in front of the building as soon as I turned in. The place is clean and gives a semi-new feeling. There's also lots of books and puzzles for kids. Hand sanitizers and bathrooms are conveniently located.

I treat with Dr. Ho, and recommend him without qualifications. He's a revelation. For one thing, he's a conscientious physician. He listens carefully and examines thoroughly. For another, he's uniquely adept at issue spotting. He's picked up on things that my specialists have missed. He clearly possesses an encyclopedic mind. Even better still, he's judicious--yet highly effective--in his treatment plans. Bottom line: If you're looking for primary medical care, this is the correct choice.

I recommend that you skip this doctor and find another. Save yourself the inconveniences and find a…read moredoctor with good reviews or a good reference from someone you know. My mother-in-law's primary doctor retired a while back and this is where she landed. Ever since Dr. Doshi has been her primary doctor, it's been nothing but a hassle. He is hardly ever in his office. It takes a long time to get an appointment booked with him. If my mother-in-law needs anything and he is unavailable (he's out of town a lot), his office staff says go to ER or Urgent care. I don't know if he doesn't like working with geriatrics or what? I told my family to lose this guy from the beginning, not sure why they still use him. Here is the icing on the cake: My mother-in-law is going to a live-in Alzheimer's facility. She is supposed to go in today BUT the facility needs paperwork filled in and signed by her primary doctor or they won't let her in - they legally must have this paperwork filled in and signed. It's been over two weeks since Doshi's office has had the paperwork. Her caregiver took it to them personally. Her caregiver calls daily asking when it will be ready and she has walked in twice asking for it and they basically say, "We will let you know". Well, we got her insurance involved, they called Doshi's office asking why they have not done their part. Someone from his office then finally called my husband this morning (over 2 weeks later, mind you) and they tell him that Doshi can't sign the paperwork because we have not filled in the name and address, etc. They can't do that part for us. Wow!!! My husband thought Doshi was supposed to complete all the paperwork. This is not our profession so we don't know exactly how it's done. Evidently, the only reason they even looked at the paperwork is because the insurance company called them. My husband said, "You've had this paperwork over 2 weeks and you're just now telling us this"? The woman from his office admitted that we should have been told when the front office received it. Wow again!!! Over 2 weeks later - Wow!! Writing all this so you don't have to waste your time and energy here. If you are ok with poor service and don't need much care, then this is the place for you.

They were however more concerned about the message than the medical care needed, stating they always answer their phones. Being more concerned about addressing the not answering phones comment than the actual medical emergency really says a lot about the staff. And they really don't answer phones because not even the insurance company was able to get through to them. Guess I really touched a sore spot there. Dr. Hsu should consider getting new staff unless this is actually a representation of her as a professional. But I've never actually been able to see her so I can't speak on her as a doctor. Such a shame. Update: I called multiple times so yes I did leave a voicemail with my information. Not only did I spend all morning trying to get a hold of you, but my insurance company tried too. They were met with no response as well and were very concerned that they changed my PCP immediately. When I got a call back it was because I upset you and I was never asked what medical support I needed. I was met with a "we always answer our phone, what do you mean?" So of course I was upset because I finally get a call back and it's regarding my comment. By this point, I had already changed my PCP and got an appointment for my medical situation. So, yes, I no longer needed your services. Regardless, I hope you can do better by your current and future clients. If you are unable to met demands it might be time to hire more hands or get a better system. My experience doesn't need to be everyone else's.

Highly recommended and she's got a strong following of other doctors and RNs who go to her as their primary care doctor. I can't say enough nice things about her and her staff. They're extremely helpful and efficient and return phone calls when you need them to answer a question or concern. Her office is like a Beverly Hills office in that it's a beautiful office and you'll walk in looking for the Nordstrom's piano player. It's that nice and extremely clean. Trust me you'll love Dr Hsu and her great staff.
