Never rushed and her "out of the box" thinking is refreshing considering the managed medical environment most of us experience these days. She has managed me through some on the blackest days my psyche has undergone of late and has bent over backwards to provide me with the tools and documentation I've needed to move forward with life. In all, this is a physician with whom I wish to move forward with, for many years to come.

She first was annoyed that we asked her to speak Spanish. When on her bio mentions she speaks it fluently. Her demeanor towards us left us wanting to leave the appointment immediately. Made my family member feel incredibly bad about themselves to the point that she felt her blood pressure raise and was left shaken from the worse experience ever from a doctor. Very insensitive to so many questions. Zero bedside manner. No sense of patience or care AT ALL. She was annoyed that I was prepared with lab work as if that isn't her job to look at it. I don't know how she considers herself a doctor. If she hates people so much, she shouldn't work there. Perhaps the DMV is a better job. I truly feel sorry for anyone that has her. We've never had bad experiences in doctors until today. We will be reporting her to the insurance. This was unacceptable. And incredibly unprofessional. Do not go to her unless you want to feel berated and unappreciated. Unbelievable.

He is not only an excellent physician with integrity who takes the commitment of his oath with pride but, hilarious and giving and super loving to all of his patient's. Going to a check up feels like a party with his staff members. I always feel better physically & my spirits are always lifted as well. He once viewed my labs even though I was out of network and no longer his patient. He gave me a second opinion and helped me advocate for myself with my new providers. He treats everyone like family. I'm so thankful for him!

He's my grandparents physician, my mom's physician, and was my PCP until I was forced into an out of area HMO that he's not contracted with. Even though he's not contracted with my insurance I still go to him and even bring my kids to him when there's something going on. I trust him wholeheartedly and love his approach to treatment which is to find the root cause of the problem and not just treat the symptom. I've also seen Dr. Prechel in his practice and Dr. Young. Nora is in the front office and she has been a total blessing when we need to get my grandparents medications refilled. I can't say enough to express the gratitude I have for Dr. Shams and his whole team, but what I can say for sure is if you stick with him he will become like family. After being his patient for about 20 years he is definitely a part of my family! Thank you so much

I don't usually leave reviews but my experience with Dr. Scott Tran was so bad that I feel like…read morepeople should know before trusting him with their health. 1. Allergy Test Request: I specifically told him that I'm allergic to seafood, nuts, and eggs. I even mentioned that I accidentally ate shrimp recently and wanted to get an allergy test for confirmation and reassurance. Instead of helping me, he just brushed it off and said, "Oh you're allergic if you feel something, no need for a test. Are you sure you ate fish? Maybe it's something else you're allergic to." Basically gaslighting me -- even though my medical record already shows I've had an allergic reaction to fish sauce before. How hard is it to just order an allergy test? 2. Eczema (Lifelong Condition): I've had eczema since I was born. I went in with obvious flare-up symptoms: dry, flaky, itchy, white skin. I asked for a stronger prescription (hydrocortisone 2.5%) because the OTC 1% wasn't cutting it. I saw this guy FOUR separate times: 1st visit: He misdiagnoses me with keratosis pilaris (wrong). 2nd visit: He finally says it's eczema but claims that if I just moisturize and take cetirizine (basically prescription Zyrtec) it would "cure" my eczema. Which is absolute nonsense. 3rd visit: He literally frowns at me, asks me why I'm even there, and dismisses me in like two minutes. 4th visit: He finally caves and gives me a referral to a dermatologist. Now let me emphasize -- his office is always empty (literally maybe two people max in the waiting room) but somehow it takes 45 minutes to an hour to be seen. Then when he finally sees you, he barely spends more than 2 minutes in the room before dismissing you. If he's going to make patients wait that long, the least he could do is actually address the issue instead of brushing it off every single time. After the 4th visit, I switched him out as my PCP immediately. Saw the dermatologist and guess what? I DO have eczema, no, it does not just "go away" with cetirizine, and yes, I did need a steroid cream to manage the itching and flare-ups. Also, Dr. Tran confidently told me that using hydrocortisone could make me "turn albino." My dermatologist flat-out confirmed that's completely false. Overall: This doctor has a serious ego problem, dismisses patients, gives incorrect advice, and acts like he knows it all when he clearly doesn't. If you actually want answers and real medical care, don't waste your time here.

They have had my medical records for over 3 weeks and continue to make up excuses as to why I cannot be seen by the physician. I went in person hoping to resolve any confusion but still got no answers, only excuses. While waiting I overheard another patient argue with the office manager about being overcharged for a service and she could not explain what the charges were for. It seems like there are a lot of issues with this office and if this how the physician allows his office to be run, I highly doubt the quality of care will be any different. Avoid this office at all costs.
