Very happy my insurance switched and I was forced to find a new doctor. PIH cerritos has so far been a positive experience. 5/5 easy to find a physician- pih website has many reviews of all their physicians with pictures. 4/5 scheduling appts. I called to inform I'm a new patient. Receptionist took my info and said she had to verify I was covered before making my appt. she never called me back. The next morning I called and was verified over the phone immediately (maybe the other girl was too busy for me) and schedule my appt for the next week and said anytime before the day of my appt I could walk in and have my blood drawn (great! No orders or referrals needed) in the same office. 3.5-4 wait time. Since I was a first time patient they gave me an iPad to use to fill out my forms. I was also able to sWipe my credit Card to save on file for any future payments. This is great since my previous doctors was cash/check only. This process took about 15 min (lots of personal questions, emergency contact, past medical history). After that it took another 15-20 min to be called in to see The doctor. My appt. was 9:20a. I arrived at 9:05a and was on my way home 10:40a 5/5 staff and doctor. My doctor was really nice, informative, knowledgeable and sincere in listening to my problems. She cared about my health AND mental wellbeing. Staff for check in was professional and thorough. Phlebotomist was a young Hispanic girl that was also very nice. However, there's was an older Hispanic phlebotomist that stuck me 3 times even though I told her if she's using that vein then only a butterfly needle would work with that vein. She didn't listen. See pic posted. 5/5 facility. It's easy to find. Both times I've visited I found parking right in front of the building as soon as I turned in. The place is clean and gives a semi-new feeling. I've been going here for several years. The staff are quite helpful, the on-site lab is quick and super easy, and, most importantly, the medical care is uncommonly strong. I treat with Dr. Ho, and recommend him without qualifications. He's a revelation. For one thing, he's a conscientious physician. He listens carefully and examines thoroughly. For another, he's uniquely adept at issue spotting. He's picked up on things that my specialists have missed. He clearly possesses an encyclopedic mind. The front desk is unprofessional. It's an unpleasant experience to make an appointment with them. We only go there because my mom is comfortable with Dr. Doshi. The front desk staff cannot say please or thank you. There is zero customer service. I have called them twice and both times they talk as if they are doing me a favor by giving me an appointment. Little do they know they get paid because we go there. But again if they had brains they would have more bed side manners. Just shows it's an uneducated and unprofessional team. I spoke with some one called Lin. I had to tell her you are being rude and then she started being fake nice and hung up abruptly. Very down market. Had to update this to a 1 star review because there are quite a few doctors in this medical group who are not great and seem to not care for your well being or your health whatsoever. After years of being ignored and mistreated by this medical group, I finally made the switch to a different doctor after a recent referral to the WORST OBGYN I have ever encountered. Your health matters and you should feel heard when you are discussing your medical concerns with your doctors. I can tell you with absolutely certainty you won't get that here. Dr. Tellez is a pediatrician that encourages us to talk and he listens. He said that my son has vitiligo but I didn't see him use UV light to diagnose it (what if it was tinea, a fungal infection?). I like that the lab is in-house instead of having to make an appointment and visit another site for a blood sample or TB test. Recently, I wanted an any available appointment for my son because of a red spot on his soft palate, but I was referred to their after hours clinic in Downey instead. I work for PIH health Good Samaritan Hospital and I have HMO insurance. I am a 30 year old woman with history of kidney problems and recurring urine issues due to working 12 hours in the hospital and not drinking enough water or fluid throughout the day. I always work in a hospital setting and really whenever I got sick I always been taken care of and by doing so and taking different types of antibiotics from various providers who didn't know my history made me more resistant to almost all antibiotics. I should have been more cautious and I knew that by doing this would make me really sick. Finally one day when my kidneys couldn't take it anymore I was nearly admitted to the hospital. Once I was discharged I took my health seriously and finally assigned myself to a primary care physician in which took me a while because I literally had to Google and review all the doctors within my proximity at home. I stumbled across Dr. Jane Kong and loved how is she put herself out there by speaking freely and open about her being passionate on that PIH video. I had my first appointment with her and she literally spent an hour getting to know who I was from bottom to top and she right away knew what tests needed to be done or if any vaccinations were due. I really loved the way she handled things in the appointment that I even assigned my own husband as a primary doctor to go get seen. Not only do I love the doctor and her services and appreciate everything that she has done. I also Google's and researched and reviewed another doctor within this building for my youngest son and Dr. Tellez was also great. He explained in depth everything that I had questioned in regards to my son's situation or physical. He even follows up and calls for results. Last but not least the nurse or secretary whomever she is... her name is Brenda She is the one who always answers the call whenever I need help and I give her props for handling business and helping me with all the questions I need answered when the doctors are not available. She is the sole purpose that I continue to go there because she's very quick she is very nice and she gets things done. I would sometimes be on the phone with her with my kids in the background making noise and one day I even was crying and vented to her on why I needed to place an appointment and she was still there to listen compassionately and help me get the services I needed. So not only that I have my assigned Doctor here but so does my husband and both my sons. I'm so grateful cuz we literally live across the Street in the Condominiums. I gave Dr. Kong a five stars as New family physician that pioneer medical group have added. I like how she takes her time to check on me and my husband. I have been fighting the cough/congested nose like flue/cold symptoms since last year Thanksgiving yes, the other doctors in pioneer medical group I went to just gave me cold medications to treat it. No doctor has listened and do a test on me see what's really going on? Now the test Dr. King ordered (breath test) and found out I have bacteria in my lung. I would like to give anyone who is using pioneer medical group advise! If you are late for your appointment please call ahead to see if you are ba able to see. Most doctor office made appointments then you wait for them for 1hour it's normal if you are late they will not see you that happened to me. Appointment time 7am Dr. Cespanyi shows up at 810am. Typical service from Pioneer Medical. He thanks me for the bad review on FB and basically accuses me of calling "them all a bunch of idiots" he then states he can no longer assist me in with documentation I needed for my lower back. Documentation he has been helping me with for years. Guess it's my fault his staff is rude and he is always late. His reason today was "I am not that disabled." He is the doctor who sent me to a specialist where I paid over $300 to find out there was nothing that I can do for my pain other than to learn to deal with it which is the same advise I got from Dr. Cespanyi or in his words "I'm fucked." Now I am refused the help I need because he felt the need to retaliate against me for giving his staff not him a bad review. I am retaliated against me for my opinion on the staff at this building. I would like to see how he responds to the medical board once I submit a formal complaint. read more

This is now PIH Health, and both staff and management are incompetent. I took my son here for the pediatrician, he ordered the routine anemia blood test to be drawn from my son's arm even though he just turned two. We waited close to 15 minutes after signing in to be called in, despite the fact that there was no one else in front of us, the phlebotomist Vanessa was not checking the sign in sheet at all. She then give us an attitude, not giving any proper guidance or show any sympathy to my son was was already frightened. She took multiple pokes at my son, at this time, he was already screaming. I finally had enough and and asked to speak to the office manager, who not only was not helpful, but actually defended the phlebotomist. I will never take my son here again, warning to all who thinks this is closer to their house, go somewhere else and save the headache. read more

Dr. Csephanyi is a poor excuse for a doctor, shows zero concern for his patients. The title Dr doesn't make you a "Doctor". I am a normally healthy young male but have been having lots of problems lately. I took time off work for a physical exam to get everything checked out and came in with specific questions that were concerning to me. Dr Csephanyi was very rude, blew off every question I had, walked out of the room mad. Nurse tried to send me on my way, I told her I wasn't finished. Csephanyi came back to argue with me that i don't trust his judgement?? How about answer my questions and show concern for your patients!!! You signed up for this, you are a doctor so act like one!! Leaves office again without saying anything, forgot to write my prescription, had to go back to request it again, nurses act like his Gatekeepers, Csephanyi and his nurses from hell need to go. I can go on but I'll leave it at etc, etc, etc I've been going here for years, we love Dr Tellez for the kids but we will never step foot in there again, don't waste your time here, find you a Doctor that actually is concerned with your well-being. I give Dr. Doshi an A+ best Dr that has ever treated me, my primary Dr. before was Dabu from the Long Beach office he also is a great Dr. I was hospitalized in OCT of this year at Downey Regional which is now PHI and Doshi was the MD whose care I was under and not only did he help me to recover but he explained all my symptoms in detail and told me how I can take care of the problem, him and his team of practioners came in my room Early each mourning and went over my illness with me with a fine tooth comb after 3 days my problem was taken care of... All I have to say is I am very glad to have been under his care and the day after I was released I called my HR and had my primary Dr. changed to Doshi... I had an insurance change when they merged with PIH. I am no longer able to see him. I am disappointed because it is difficult find a physician that demonstrates genuine compassion. Horrible place I had shattered my elbow n these so called nurses n dr never help me. I damn near lost my elbow because of this place. At first they couldn't find me a Orthopaedic surgeon for surgery, They would send me to a surgeon that doesn't take my insurance the surgeon told me to go to Long Beach memorial to get help I did it n got surgery. I ended up have serious complications from surgery I had three surgeries with a hole in my elbow. Now I found a dr for my elbow that fixed the problem n you know what it's literally right next door to this facility. Fuck this medical group such a piece of shit. They told me my insurance wasn't good idc it's free u have no right to stay that. I really like the doctors that I have seen here, but I feel that there so busy they forget about the patients.....I had a nerve study done on my hand, they found that I had carpal tunnel, the doctor said she would contact a surgeon and they would contact me. I really love this office. Everyone is so nice and they have an in-house lab, EKG and x-ray. The last thing I wanted to do during quarantine is go into a doctor's office and feel exposed, but they are doing an amazing job of protecting patients. I was the only one in the waiting room and they wiped down the check-in pad before I used it. At no time was in close proximity to any other patient. I had forgotten to ask Teresa Kim something in my appointment and they promptly got me back in the room so I could ask her my other questions. When I had trouble scheduling the ultrasound the office was so nice and called for me to set up my appointment and got back to me by end of day with the information. I usually go to St Jude out in Fullerton because I feel they have better service, but this office has surprised me with their amazing service. I'm never waiting longer than a few minutes in the waiting room and NP Teresa Kim is so friendly and takes time to explain everything. I had lab work done Thursday and got the results the following Tuesday morning (today). She really goes above and beyond to take care of you. I had previously seen Dr. Doshi a few years ago, and while I thought he was nice in my appointment, he did not have any follow through. I had to chase him for my lab results and when I had questions, despite calling several times, he never returned my calls. read more

The office charges $25 for no-shows or for appointments that aren't canceled at least 24 hours in advance, but they canceled an appointment just a few hours before my appointment that I waited for nearly a month. I had not been to this place in over a year. It has changed a lot. The place is filthy, the doctors and nurses are different. Before the clinic was clean, the doctors and nurses that attended me were nice and you could tell they cared about their patients. Now you could tell all they care about is the money and not the patients. I asked one of the nurses that I recognized from the past (one of the few that is still there) what happened. I was a happy client for about 6 years, my girls loved the Doctor and honestly I did too. I had car problems last year and took a bus to get to the Doctor, my Daughter had an appointment for a physical. I am not sure why this time around the office staff treated us the way they did. We arrived on time yet the other patients who arrived after me were seen first. I believe my total wait was two hours yet the other clients(at least 5) were all seen and me and my daughter were treated like we weren't even there! After losing my patience, I asked what was going on and they told me that I was there for a physical and they were gonna see me last. I thought that was unprofessional. They should have told me from the beginning, they never practiced that rule on me before, I always got called right away. I left, called and left a complaint to the manager, none of my messages were returned, completely unprofessional. I now have a closer and more professional doctor, my girls are happy and I'm happy. In the end, they did me a favor. You guys wasted my day, be considerate of people as some people take public transportation, now my car is running fabulous and I have a great caring and considerate doctor with a good staff. read more

My review is for Doshi Pinal and his practitioner. Both really helped me out when I was having a recurring problem. I felt like they were listening to my complaints and taking me seriously. I was on HMO and they didn't hesitate to send me to a specialist. The only thing is that Dr. Pinal is hard to get an appointment with. His schedule is quite full for weeks at at time it seems. If you need attention to an immediate problem, you might have no choice to see his practitioner who is also very good. read more

Making an appointment on the phone was easy and I got one the same day. Once I arrived I signed in via a tablet that was much quicker and easier then the clipboards most dr offices give you to fill out. I was seen within 15 minutes of arriving by Dr. Dena Fisher. No long waits once in examination room. She was thorough and quick. Listened very well. The nurse came in and took care of my ear problem and dr finished it up. They were both very nice and easy to talk to. Visit only cost me 58 dollars and was well worth it. Keep in mind I have no insurance. I have been bringing my children here for 20 years. However, we have recently moved due to the incompetence of the billing department. Year after year I have been over billed, treated rudely, and actually refused an appointment over an $8.00 bill. That was the final straw! Doctor's are o.k. overall with Dr. Tellez being excellent. This review is specifically for Dr. Tellez and his pediatric clinic. I have been to very bad clinics and very poor hygiene doctors before. But Dr. Tellez washes hands as soon as he enters the room, which as a parent of child means a lot about his care of infection control. He is a very nice doctor and he listens to your questions and concern, and explains to you very well what is up with your child. I also have high rating for the cleanliness of his clinic, no complaint. I stopped looking for a doctor for my son. Dr. Tellez will be his doctor. read more
