-Oven stinks like chemicals, they didn't even scrub it just sprayed and wiped it out. Left cleaning products in oven so when i tried to use it, it filled the whole house with a chemical smell (I'm 8 months pregnant so it made me extremely nauseous) -must have only used a swiffer to "mop" the floors, because there's no way the floors should be this dirty if it was moped with an actually mop, water and product. The floors were dirty upon move in, wiped floor and it came up black, tested several spots throughout the house. He said he used pine sol but the house didn't smell anything like pinesol. -there was still dust all in the bathrooms top of shower, mirrors, and behind toilet. -scrubbed sink but didn't clean the black sink guard, still full of old food and mold -they did a good job on the baseboards and windows. -paid $400 for a deep clean on an emptied out house, it needed a deep clean but no "deep" thorough cleaning was done. -bombarded me to write a review a couple times the day they finished even though I didn't move in for a couple more days to review them. I told them I'd review once I got to the house and inspected it. I'm glad I waited because this was honestly unacceptable and I could have done a better job while 8 months pregnant. So now I'm out $400, and still have to deep clean everything myself. We talked to the owner who was incredibly rude, and offered to return Monday to re "mop" the floors. The only problem is now I have boxes everywhere since I just moved in and it doesn't make sense to mop all of 8 feet of floor that's visible for now. I asked for a $100 refund of the $400 because the floors were not done (and let's be honest, barely anything else was done either) and he refused and only offered to come back Monday. I kept telling him it's impossible at this point, he kept asking how he can make it right and wouldn't give a 1/4 refund. This was honestly just a terrible experience and I highly don't recommend this company. read more

Before Ruth's house cleaning service (later on Ruth's for short), we hired a cleaning service. They did a really great job. Unfortunately, they moved, so I and my family decided to find another local cleaning service. After researching, based on highly rated reviews on Yelp and Google, we considered Ruth's house cleaning service. Our house has 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms and a dog. When a cleaning team comes and works, our dog would stay outside, on the patio., the entire time. Ruth's and I had been communicating through text messenger. Starting the conversation, I informed Ruth's that I wanted monthly cleaning service. During the inquiry process, Ruth's was very responsive and professional. All my questions were answered quickly and clearly. After getting all information, I scheduled the initial deep clean with Ruth's on November 7th 2020 at 10:00 am. Also, before scheduling the initial deep clean, I asked Ruth's: Can you suggest a list of needed cleaning solutions that I can buy? Ruth's said: We provide cleaning supplies. You don't need to. I said: Ok. When I said "OK", I assumed they brought their own cleaning supplies (including equipment and solutions). On the cleaning day (November 7th), they came to house on time. There were 3 persons for our 1st deep cleaning: 1 male and 2 females. When inside our house, the man came to me and asked: Where did you put your cleaning supplies? I was surprised, but still showed him what we had in the house (Windex for glass only, Bleach, Pine Sol, Kitchen 409 cleaner, Disinfectant wipes, bathroom scrubber/foam, Lysol toilet bowl cleaner, a vacuum, a spray mop, towels, microfiber cloths, duster and others). It ends up that they used mostly ours for the cleaning. I really didn't have a problem with that, except that some of our bottles were running low or very low. If they told me earlier that they would use ours, I would restock before they come. Before they began, I asked the man: Do you have a check-list? He said: No, we don't. We know what we do, we don't need a check-list. I, in my head: Ok. When I contacted Ruth's Service, and asked about check-list, Ruth's said "YES, WE DO" They started to clean. They finished faster than I thought. Cleaning quality: 3/5 overall, compared to the previous cleaning team (4/5). However, Ruth's team re-did at couple tasks when I requested. After they re-did, overall quality at this point was from 3/5 to 4/5. When everything was done and before they left, I and my husband asked the man: We want to schedule monthly. How can we do that? He said: We have your information. Ruth's team will text you to remind and schedule for a date for that month. I and husband: Ok. That is great. Then, my husband wrote a check to pay. After the initial deep clean, we expected to get a message/reminder for scheduling December cleaning from them, but there was none. Therefore, I asked Ruth's for a date in December on December 9th, no response. I asked again on December 11th, Ruth's said that she/he would check calendar and get back. December 12th, I asked again, and Ruth's said that she/he had not checked their calendar yet. December 14th, I asked again. and Ruth's said that there was NO available date for December. WHY DID YOU NOT TELL ME IN THE BEGINNING WHEN I ASKED ABOUT MONTHLY SERVICE? I tried to be understanding, so I said to myself: "Okie. COVID-19 and holiday season, they're busy, so they forget to mention. Only 1 month skipped. Good thing that our family always keeps the house as clean as possible. No biggie." On December 28th 2020, I asked Ruth's an available date in January for monthly cleaning, also reminded her/his team that they skipped December service. Ruth's replied that NO AVAILABLE for JANUARY. I WAS SPEECHLESS. As a result, I have to find another cleaning company for monthly cleaning and make sure they have available times for my house. Also, if I decide to go with another cleaning company, I must pay for an initial deep clean AGAIN. My suggestion: If you are a new customer and looking for MONTHLY CLEANING SERVICE, please be aware. I saw the good yelp reviews for Ruth's and called them up to schedule a move-out cleaning. I called May 22nd and left a message stating that I needed an appointment for June 4th or 5th. The company responded via text and offered other dates - I said I needed those dates (lease ending, carpet cleaning, work commitments) and the company representative stated they could make it work. We agreed on 5 June 2020 at 1:30pm. Fast forward to 5 June - I've been moving boxes at night while working full days and I'm stressed. I text Ruth's House Cleaning Services to confirm that they will be there at 1:30 and to confirm check amount. No response. I can see that they've read the text around 8:30 am but no response. I figure if they weren't going to make it, they'd respond. Lol. I'm at work and it's 2:19. My family member who was waiting at the property to let them in calls and says no one is there. I call their company. No answer. I leave a message. I also sent a message through yelp to contact the company. At 2:31 I get a call back. The man asks if I made an appointment with the right company because he didn't have anyone on the schedule. I informed him that I had made an appointment by calling the number on their Yelp page and that I was supposed to pay via check to Ruth [surname]. Then, apparently, the man remembers that he entered the appointment for tomorrow 6 June at 10. Then he apologizes for scheduling the wrong day and time and takes full responsibility and asks what he can do to make things right. But he can't send anyone to clean because they're somewhere else and they only have two crews and dot dot dot. At this point, I'm just hearing excuses. He says he can recommend someone who might be able to show up but he's not sure, but he wants to make it right. Not sure what taking full responsibility entails when I'm not a tight schedule and need to turn over the keys for this rental. Unless he can send out someone ASAP, I'm not sure how he can make anything right. I ended up hanging up on him because I needed to start calling other places to try and get a last minute move out clean. About 10 minutes ago, I get an email from yelp - apparently Ruth has responded to my inquiry with "unable to service." WOW, YOU DON'T SAY?! So yeah, I am beyond annoyed. Had the absolute BEST experience this week - they are extremely prompt in replying and scheduling, they were ready and waiting for our appointment (which I super appreciated as I was on my lunch break), and then I came home to an absolutely SPARKLING home, top to bottom. Ruth and Mike are very warm people, I immediately felt comfortable with them in my space. I was mainly requesting their help on my floors and bathroom, however, they went incredibly above and beyond. WAY ABOVE AND BEYOND!! For example, I had been looking into replacing my kitchen sink and glass shower doors (I've tried everything!!), however after Ruth and Mike's magic, they are more beautiful then when I moved in.
