When I brought this to the company's attention, they initially responded quickly and expressed a desire to make things right. However, once I requested compensation for the damage, communication stopped entirely. It has now been over a week since my last message. My follow-ups have been read but not answered. As I've continued cleaning and organizing the house, I've also discovered that some areas appear to have been missed altogether. For example, the shelves in my children's room had a significant layer of dust on them, suggesting they were not dusted during the service. Mistakes happen, and I would have been willing to work collaboratively toward a resolution. What has been most frustrating is the lack of communication after the damage occurred. I hope the company chooses to respond and address the situation. If they do, I would be happy to update this review. I hired this company for a move out cleaning, and during the service they threw away a thermometer extender that was attached to my thermostat. Because of that, I ended up being charged around $150 to $200, and they did not offer any discount, reimbursement, or real effort to make it right. What made it even worse was that after this happened, I asked about pricing for regular biweekly or monthly cleaning, and the quotes were extremely overpriced. After costing me money because of their mistake, they still had the audacity to come back with unreasonable rates for ongoing service. Based on my experience, I will never use them again. Very disappointing. This is in response to the owner's reply. At no point did I ever say that everything in the unit was trash or that anything left behind could simply be thrown away. That is not accurate, and I strongly disagree with that characterization of what happened. The item that was discarded was attached to the thermostat and should not have been removed. I was then left dealing with the cost of replacing it, which ended up being around $150 to $200. What makes this even more frustrating is that instead of taking real accountability, your response shifts the blame onto me. That response only makes me feel less confident in your company. Second time in San Diego using a cleaning service. I have a 468sq ft studio apartment that's nearly completely empty (few bags, computer desk/chair, otherwise empty) requested a move-out cleaning service (Apt has been kept fairly clean, some dust, although I do sweep and vacuum). Last year I had a 520sq ft 1bd apartment that was cleaned in 1 hour ... Olivia did not show up, instead it was a younger male and female duo. They took about 2 hours 20 minutes to clean the apartment, requested 2.5 hour pay. Other reviews are stating they had a 3 story home with "tons of dog hair everywhere" that was completed in 4 hours for a deep clean ... I didn't say anything to these individuals and just paid them since it is manual labor, and they definitely didn't seem to be wanting to do this work (understandably). Just don't see the value that other's have seen on Yelp. She communicated very well and made sure to work around my schedule. They came and completed a deep cleaning for me, which consisted of a 2BR and 1.5 BA apartment (~1,100sq ft). I got myself into a crap subleasing situation and the ladies of De la Cruz Cleaning were my absolute saviors. I'm not one to usually drop money on hiring cleaners because I normally find satisfaction doing the cleaning myself, but the place was so disgusting that I truly could not have done it without professional help. Owner Olivia and her sister were able to come the same day I asked for a quote, which was really important to me (it was genuinely so bad that I would not have survived another day). They cleaned for four hours straight with no breaks (which I felt awful about but speaks to their work ethic). They were nice and diligent, and Olivia in particular was kind in that she stayed longer than I had initially asked her to because she said she didn't want to leave me until she felt like she had actually cleaned the place to her standards (I was clearly very distressed by the apartment).
