This is the best shawerma place in New York. The flavors take you back to your grandma's house with its authentic taste. The decor is absolutely gorgeous. There is a bit of a wait to get the food but it is so worth it! I'd wait forever if I had to! The shawerma chicken and meat Arabic style is the best! It comes with a side of coleslaw and French fries that are perfectly crispy and seasoned. The staff is so friendly! Everyone from the cooks to the owners to the bus boys were so welcoming. I ordered the chicken shawrma, it was delicious , well seasoned chicken , and their hummus was also scrumptious, a bit of a hiccup when I ordered online but eventually I was able to have my food delivered, just some advice the delivery man should try calling the customer more than once , my phone dips in connection so call goes straight to voicemail, please call customer twice or 3 times! Randomly wandered in here last night and got the Arabic meat shawarma (sandwich chopped into small pieces) and it was so good, now I can't stop thinking about it. You can't go wrong with middle eastern food in Bay Ridge in general, but some spots stand out just a little bit more then the rest, and this is one of them. For $9 you got a lot of food. This restaurant offers the best Chicken Shawarma in Bay Ridge! I was encouraged to try the "Arabic" portion, which has the chicken shawarma, fries, coleslaw, and a few peppers/olives/tomatoes/pickles on the side. First of all, what makes this shawarma different (and the best) is the wrap used. You can actually watch a guy in the corner kneading the dough and cooking the wrap so it's nice and fresh. It makes a big difference compared to the pre-made ones. The fries (seasoned perfectly) and the coleslaw are also really, really delicious. This is all paired with friendly customer service and a clean, nicely decorated inside. A nice place to visit when wanting to grab a bite out. Me and my cousin went to eat here for iftar for Ramadan. They had dates set up at the table for us to break our fast which was very nice. Anyways now about the food, the fries are amazing. There are spices put on it to give it flavor which makes the taste go great with the food. The shawerma sandwich was beyond amazing. The bread wrap was so light and not thick like how other places do it. The chicken was perfectly marinated and I tasted every flavor in it. Best falafel sandwich in the city. Such a great addition to the neighborhood. There's plenty of great Middle Eastern food in the hood, but Ruzana is fresher than the other options. They do a very unique falafel sandwich made on Bedouin bread, which is like a cross between a tortilla and a pita. It's just an incredible balance of flavors. I've also tasted the chicken shawarma, which was incredible (super garlicky, just as it should be), the tabbouleh, the hummus, and the baba, and it's all fantastic. But when I come here I can't help but just order the falafel sandwich, because it's so unique and so incredible. No complaints. I need to eat here more often than I do. read more

The food was so well seasoned and just delicious. The delivery was almost as quick as i devoured the meal. If i had to say one negative thing (which is me really reaching) it's that the grape leaves had a touch too much oil. But the flavor was just too good to knock.
