I've been here a couple of times and got the chicken bowl. Better than chipotle. Will be back.

While shopping, we got hungry and because this place had decent reviews, we stopped by. We ordered a wrap and salad -- Each had similar ingredients -- meat, vegetables, a bit of kick, and some sauce. I thought the salad was good and my husband said the wrap was as well. It's no frills with pick up and bring to open seating, but it quick, and they had a some good beverages to accompany it. At industry city, it's not a bad option.

This was the best chicken döner I've ever had. The slaw, chicken, turkish pita, everything was perfect. The bread tasted fresh, the slaw was refreshing, the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The feta added the salty, the sauces added depth. I wish there was this place in Florida because I will crave this until I can get one in Turkey (married into a turkish family).

Still one of my favorite places to grab lunch at. Always delicious and fresh. Surprisingly as many times as I get food from here; the taste and quality never seem to fail me. (Many times when you order from the same establishment they have "OFF" days) but not my Kotti :)

I took a special trip to Industry City in BK from Jackson Heights, Queens on January 3, 2022. After my grocery shopping at Sahadis and the Japanese grocery store at Japan Village, time to get my kebab fill at Kotti. I had my 'go to' Chicken Kebab sandwich. What made it great was Ali, the counter lady. She had great Customer Service. She was very short staff that day but she was still in great spirits. We had a good talk of my love of Germany. I went crazy eating Turkish food when I was there on my 2nd vacay in 2006. Will be back again soon. Like that they had indoor seatings because I didn't want to freeze my assets eating my kebab.

It's worth of Eat as Brooklyn exclusive since I don't see this place nor eat doner kebab like this in The city. I like this thick chewy bread a lot! Great combination with meat and veggies.

Wanted to try something different in IC. Staff wasn't very friendly, but they had a doner slider for $5 so a great snack! We got all the toppings and they were tasty. I'd check out the other menu items next time. Pro tip: grab a beer at the Burger Joint next door while you wait for you food!

We were so happy to come across the food stand version of this place at a street food fair across from the Macy's at Penn Station. We ordered the chicken on a Turkish bread. The bread was so amazing - crisp, fresh and delicious. The chicken was perfectly marinated with lots of different little veggies on top. The bread, sauce and chicken were all so great, making this chicken Mediterranean sandwich we've had. We definitely look forward to coming back the next time we are in New York! I am just happy I didn't let my still-digesting stomach talk me into buying another wrap (since 15 minutes later, I did find that I was indeed full).

I had a group dinner here for my parents and my boyfriend's mother to meet for the first time. This is perhaps not the perfect location for this type of thing, as it was extremely loud in the restaurant. Despite being very busy, the hostess made sure we had a comfortable table to sit at and were not too cramped. As expected, the beer selection is great and I enjoyed my Berliner Weisse very much. I ordered the goulash and kasespaetzle. The goulash was rich, well seasoned and filling. The spaetzle was soft and creamy, covered in lots of flavorful aged cheese with salty bacon bits and sweet onion. A very rich dish. Although I didn't technically order an entree, I still found myself pleasantly full at the end of the meal. The rest of my dining companions ordered either the schnitzel or the wurstplatte. All seemed very pleased with their food, and some even had leftovers to bring home due to large portions. This restaurant is certainly a fun spot to come, reservations recommended. There's a reason they've been open for so long.

I wasn't in the mood to beg for drink service and I was also at "hangry" levels. Left out of there and I walked into Black Forest Brooklyn. Best decision I had made all day. It was cozy and dimly lit inside. The atmosphere was more like a pub than the usual loud, beer garden. They also had The Knicks game showing on the big screen at the bar but this place wasn't spilling over with people. I asked for a menu and decided on a burger of course! Out of pure greed, I requested a double. I did NOT need a double. My burger was sooo good. Patties were perfectly well done and the cheese was smooth and melted nicely. The sautéed onions added extra flavor and I really liked the shoestring fries. I'm more of a steak fries person but these were great! I asked the bartender to suggest a beer that had a Blue Moon quality since they don't actually serve that brand. She gave me a sample of something from the tap that was on point, so I went with a full glass. Whenever I'm craving the perfect burger and beer combo, Black Forest Brooklyn will be at the top of my list from now on.

Most of you are probably tired of me reviewing biergartens, ja?…read more This is going to be my last one for some time. Thankfully, what a good way to go out on. The food here is delicious. The prices are on the higher side, but I guess I am paying Williamsburg conveniences. This is terrific food outside of the Rhineland, and since that is where I am headed at the end of the year, at least I am going out on a high note. Phase I: The Pretzel As you may have guessed, getting a pretzel is a must for me for any biergarten or microbrewery. The pretzel is super soft and easy to eat. I asked afterwards if I could get a pretzel with no salt or if the pretzels here are pre-salted. I could have gotten it with no salt if I chose. That is probably the way to go, unless you want your mouth to taste like an ocean. Phase II: The Meat This time I found a happy medium, settling for three sausages. I got a Bratwurst, a Currywurst, and a Keisewurst, better known in Europe as the Käsekrainer. All three sausages are smoked beautifully and have amazing flavor. The Currywurst is something I had never had before, but after having it here, I am very excited to have it in Germany. The Käsekrainer is a sausage I know all too well. A pork sausage with cheese inside. This sausage checks all the boxes in terms of flavor, spice because of the jalapeño interior, and variance as it crosses American and European palettes. The Bratwurst is tried and true, albeit the safe choice, like getting a hamburger at McDonald's or Burger King. I also got a side order of fries which are massive, but also have great flavor. I could not finish these. The sausages also come with sauerkraut, something I am not a fan of, but the mustards I got plus a nice cider really took this over the top. Phase 3: The Strudel While disappointed that this restaurant does not offer a Black Forest Cake, a strudel with vanilla gelato is a nice alternative. This restaurant does it well. Perfectly cooked. A nice sweetness from the fruits and the gelato (combine the gelato with the strudel and the taste is heavenly), and you have a nice way to end your meal. -- The fact that it is not far from the L train helps in terms of convenience, but I chose the more challenging footing and walked 20 minutes to Marcy Ave on the J/M/Z to really burn off the calories. Or you could just go to the Williamsburg Bridge and walk across the whole thing to really get your post meal workout in. Either way, the food here is so good you will eat so much of it that you have to work off the calories. Danke.

Black Forest in Cobble Hill delivers. I divided my meal into three stages, the Wurst (German for sausage) stage, the Chicken (American for chicken) stage, and the sweet (flavorful, the opposite of savory) stage. You should do this too, unless you want to spend three hours in the washroom (or toilet, the European way of saying bathroom). Wurst Weisswurst is a sausage I had been wanting to get outside the home for a while now. It is a white sausage that is served with mustard and pretzels. Unlike other sausages, it is not grilled, but boiled and then served in hot water, where then the skin of the sausage is peeled and then eaten in one of three ways: Sucking (or the zuzeln method), splitting it open with a knife and then peeling back the skin, or peeling the skin off the top and eating it like a banana. I use option three. The sausage tastes delicious and has a great amount of flavor. In addition to the sausages, I also got a German beer (outstanding). I would have liked an extra sausage as the dish only comes with two links, but it is still a quality dish as the pretzel it comes with is tasty (albeit small) and the side mustard is plenty flavorful. Chicken Believe it or not, a German Biergarten that serves Jamaican style wings works. It is also a good idea to get these first because these things have plenty of spice and variety. I polished off 12 of them, but for a large party you can get 24. They are also served with bleu cheese, carrots, and celery sticks. Eat your vegetables too. Do not just stick with the protein. Sweet No meal is complete without a Black Forest cake, and with the name of the restaurant being Black Forest, I had to finish off with its namesake cake. You get a nice slice, and the cake is moist, rich, with a good amount of chocolate and cherry flavor coming through. Now I have to see how the Germans do theirs to compare. -- I have been to the Fort Greene location as well, but I told the super friendly and resourceful staff that this one is the better location. I may have also gained 15 pounds in this one visit, but I have also gained another restaurant I can trust in an area that is not so trustworthy with its clientele (that is French for customers).
