I was going to have it checked by an independent but couldn't find anyone who would do it so I took the dealers word and their 150 point inspection. Got there for my 1000 mile drive back and the statement that it was stored inside except for the last couple of months was untrue, the generator did not work, solar did not work, auto levelers did not work so I will assume the only thing that was inspected was my check. I should have walked away but it is a nice unit so I accepted they would take care of the issues. After five hours everything seemed to work except the auto levelers but I was assured they would take care of it and had called to have it fixed. Turns out they didn't get the necessary information so I needed to find it. I was told someone would call me and walk me through where to find the information but they didn't call and followed up with dealer who basically had no interest in making things right. Bottom line is get an inspection, believe nothing you are told and expect to have any work done yourself. If you don't feel right about your purchase, walk away.

Fuel contamination resulted in this shop charging an outrageous $125/hr shop time and 250% mark up for parts. $7,800 for parts that I could buy OEM from Ford for $3,200. Total $12,000! Considering this, they don't even offer any type of military/government discount. I'm LE and asked, which is highly unusual that they wouldn't offer. When asked about shop rates being higher than ford, the owner, Robert initially indicated that he charges less than factory, but when faced with the facts stated, "My rates are my rates, I don't match dealership rates." Really?? You charge more than the dealer?? You wouldn't be in business, simply unsustainable. End of rant. Just find another shop that has integrity and operates ethically. The guy doesn't seem terrible on a personal note. Just poor practices. Update, upon picking up truck, Robert demanded I get a cashiers check or cash to pay him rather than accept the Geico insurance check. I took it to BOA and they said the business is required to deposit into their business account and this is very common practice. I was eventually able to get the cashiers check, but later learned he wanted the immediate funds since he had damaged my truck while at the shop. I provided Robert with the cashiers check and my deductible. When leaving the shop, within an hour, the "ater in fuel" light was active on dash, as well as "service charging system" light illuminated, which wasn't on when left for servicing. This shop literally damaged my truck further. Robert claimed fuel system is guaranteed by Ford for 2 yrs. This is false and was verified via Ford who couldn't find the repair by my vin. This shop also charged my shop for 15 gallons of diesel replacement and failed to fulfill this, returning my truck bone try if fuel. Robert knew I was leaving the state and when asked if he could fix the new charging system and fuel/water issue, he stated "I'd get on the road if I were you." On further attempts to contact him, he never responded to calls/texts and his shop is always locked. Litigation to follow... don't put yourself in this situation. Take it to a reputable shop. It's very unfortunate that this business is fostering a terrible reputation for small locals businesses. Up until this point, I've always supported them and they've been good to me.

If our 50,000 lb. motorhome was in a position that we could have towed it out of there, we would have. I have detailed extemporaneous notes and copies of the hundreds of answered and unanswered texts(mostly unanswered) to corroborate my saga. He would only accept cash for parts and repairs totaling over $10,000 saying that his credit card company will not allow a transaction over $1500. Bottom line up front, I brought my camper in for a consignment sale to be sold on Travelcamp's lot,…read moreduring which time it was damaged and Travelcamp said it was unable to be repaired due to a lack of repair supplies at their dealership. This entire process took over 8 months of dealing with 4 different managers who often did not return my calls or texts, and placed the burden of coordination within their company and corporate office on me. I brought my camper here and entered into a 90 consignment deal to sell it at Travelcamp. After the 90 days were up, I called to arrange a pickup of my camper so that I could bring it to another dealership to sell since it hadn't sold at Travelcamp. I tried for over a week to get in touch with a consignment sales representative to arrange the pickup but nobody answered, so after a week, I showed up to Travelcamp to pick up my travel trailer. When I arrived, the camper was brought to the front of the lot, and I discovered that a window in the camper had been left open for a period of time which allowed the camper to flood on the inside due to rain storms, causing significant water damage to the inside of the camper. I initially complained about this to the manager about the damage to which he replied that he would have the unit detailed. I told him that wasn't enough and that the water damage inside the camper needed to be repaired, and not simply detailed. He then told me that he didn't "know what to do" and that I would have to take the issue up with the corporate office. I attempted to call the corporate office over 50 times over the following 5 days and never received a response either by phone, email, or text. I left a message on every single call. Additionally I placed at least another 10 calls to the consignment sales team at Travelcamp as well as to the manager that originally signed my consignment sales contract, and still did not receive an answer. About a week after my initial calls, a member from the corporate office returned my calls and said that they couldn't help me, but that another corporate representative would be reaching out to me. I received a call from an individual the next day and they told me that my camper would be repaired on Travelcamp's dime, and that my original consignment manager would be the leading point of contact for all business going forward. Fast forward approximately 3 months: In dealing with the Travelcamp repair center, I was told by the initial manager that I dealt with 3 months after the initial discovery of the water damage inside, that my camper was "repaired" and that "it [was] in better shape than when I brought it in" for its original sale. Additionally as a gesture of good faith, Travelcamp offered to pay for an independent RV inspector to come and inspect the repair job. After the inspection technician and I had inspected the unit, we found an attempted repair job to the camper where an 8"x8" square had been cut out of the wall and then a patch job was attempted where a random piece of material was sloppily glued on top of the existing wall. Additionally, there was white fuzzy material still growing out of the floor of the camper which I presumed to be a result of the previous water damage, and shrunken and rotted wall paneling where water had been soaked up into the side wall of the inside of the camper. I expressed to the service department that the repair job was unacceptable and they told me that due to material shortages, that they would not be able to do anything else for me or perform any further repair job. I told them that they needed to purchase the camper to make it right if it couldn't be repaired. Once again I was told that I would have to deal with the corporate office and that nothing could be done for me at the local dealership. Additionally, the managers tried several times to get me to use my personal insurance to make a claim against the camper to have the damage fixed; a suggestion that I refused multiple times because I didn't want to raise my personal insurance rates for damage caused by Travelcamp. Fast forward another month, and I finally got a meeting with the corporate office sales representative, who was the only positive point of contact from this entire experience. I told him the entire story, 8 months start to finish with this consignment deal, the damage done to the unit, and the botched repair job for which he apologized and bought the camper from me. This is a very brief overview of my experience with Travelcamp. I will not be returning as a customer.

When I bought the coach I asked to make sure the roof had been inspected and sealed if required. I used the coach twice in the following two months. I went up on the roof to check my satellite system and felt a soft spot in the roof. . I called my salesman Chuck Woodruff who had the service manger call me. They asked me to bring the coach in the next day and they would take a look. As they told me if this had been found the first two weeks no questions asked. However, after two months they would have to take a look and see what repairs were needed. I took the coach to them and they made sure to fit me into a very busy repair shop and delivery prep. They repaired the roof, luan board, and insulation at no cost to me and took care of a couple of lights that didn't work. Thank you for not finding a way to disappoint me and instead stepping up and solving my issue!!
