I bought an Entegra launch class B van built on a Mercedes platform by Jayco it was used with only 4000 miles on it and was a great price because of being used. They told me that it was returned because the original buyer had a death in the family. Since I got the RV home, the electrical system has been a problem the entire time with the inverter, alternator to charge the battery, and overall battery function being inoperable most of the time I took the van to Blue Compass RV to get work done under the warranty I purchased and they said they needed parts shipped from the manufacturer and had to wait for Jayco to approve. Then when the part finally arrived nearly 2 months after I first took it in, they are telling me there's a problem with the water system and that it had Frese damaged the damaged other parts I have not been able to use the van at all and now face thousands in repairs that they say are not covered under warranty. I am not sure if the problem is Blue Compass or Jayco but avoid the Jayco Terrain/Entegra Launch at all cost. Poor support, poor quality and a financial drain. read more

Blue Compass RV - Myrtle Beach, SC (5500 S. Kings Hwy 17) We took our Airstream Interstate Sprinter Van to Blue Compass RV for a few simple repairs that turned into weeks of frustration and neglect. A roof leak was found and they promised to store the van indoors and keep it plugged in -- but when we arrived, the van was completely dead, not plugged in, with mud and mouse droppings inside. The technician admitted they had jumped it earlier but never told anyone. The manager blamed a "bad alternator" and refused to take responsibility or reimburse our mobile mechanic. The mechanic confirmed all batteries and the alternator were fine -- the problem was simple neglect. Total lack of professionalism and accountability. Think twice before trusting them with your RV. read more

We purchased a new Jayco destination trailer from Stacy and Denny at Blue Compass. We initially considered much more expensive fifth-wheel trailers. Denny and Stacy found a destination trailer that met all our needs and saved us over $50,000 in the process. Throughout the entire process, there was no pressure to push us into something we didn't want to do. We came here because some friends recommended this dealership, and they are directly across the street from the campground where we have an annual site. A big part of owning an RV is the service that you get. This place is impossible to even speak to a service representative. If you want to go there it's OK but otherwise you're gonna press seven for service and get a mailbox that says you can't leave a message. You will never ever get a response by pressing seven for service. Now they have hired a service receptionist but her voicemail doesn't accept messages. read more

Unethical! Giving zero stars really should be an option.Everything seemed fine in the beginning. We filled out online to receive more information about a model we were interested in. Within minutes I was bombarded with texts from several different people. Stacy was the first to reach out so she was the sales person we worked with. We initially made an appointment to go LOOK at the camper the following Saturday. We were contacted to see if we could come in an evening instead of waiting for our appointment on Saturday. Stacy mentioned it was the end of the month. Trying to make their sale's before the end of the month, I get it. I was a little surprised when we got there and there was a sold sticker on the window. We had our dog with us and we're going to take turns going in to LOOK at it so one of us could stay outside with the dog. Stacy said it's ok she can go in, it's yours. We had not even SEEN the camper in person yet! That should have been a red flag, but we brushed it off. We really did like the camper and decided that we wanted it. We went in and signed the papers and made an appointment to pick it up the following Saturday. During the signing we did agree to the "warranty" that is offered. This was on 5/30/25. After getting a chance to research their "warranty", we decided that it was not something we wanted to proceed with. Further review of the contract stated that we could cancel the warranty with a full refund within 30 days of signing. This was on 6/17/25. Well within the 30 days allotted. I called as soon as they opened at 9am and asked for the finance manager Stacy Cobb. I was told she was not in the office yet, but they would have her call me. I asked if anyone else could assist with cancelling the extended warranty or getting the process started and I was told no only Stacy can help with that. 12:00 still no call, so I called back. She was busy, but they would have her call me. 5:30 still no call, so I called again. She had already left the office for the day. Horrible customer service! When I called again the person I spoke with at 9am apologized and said she could email me the forms to fill out and sign. Not sure why that was not an option at 9am? I told her I would print them out and have my husband drop them off on his way home from work the next day. My husband arrived and waited a while before anyone came to the front to assist him. He was told Stacy was busy. Stacy and a man who never introduced himself only saying that he was the sales manager went into the office with my husband and proceeded to sway him from cancelling. This went on for way longer than it should have. How many times do you have to tell them you want to cancel something? They literally were trying to pressure him into keeping the extended warranty. Going as far as to tell him everything they expected to fail on the camper. Stacy even told him " you realize we are part owners of the warranty company. Not really sure what that had to do with anything. Was that supposed to persuade him to change his mind? Only the opposite they were pushing it way to hard.Stacy had to leave the room to go get our file. She didn't come back! She was standing outside in the showroom. The guy had to go get her! It took over an hour before they finally told him it would be canceled but there was another form he had to sign, in addition to the two he took in already filled out and signed. By this time it is 5:30 and he still had an hour drive home. He asked for documentation confirming that it was in fact canceled and was not given any. He requested they email it to us. We have not received anything confirming that it has been canceled, and did not receive copies of signed legal documents. A customer should always receive copies of any documents signed. Unethical and non existent customer service. I told a friend of ours who is looking to also buy a camper to check them out, but I will now tell them to avoid doing business with them. read more

Hard to believe a business turns down cash deals. This dealership is focused on the kickbacks they get from financing. Made it pretty clear I was doing a cash only deal. After some back and forth on this financing fiasco I had agreed to a price all in out the door. Chuck calls me with a somber voice and says "I resigned buddy, my manager said he'd take your deal, he'll call you tomorrow." Knowing good and well I wanted a cash deal, I get a call about how I'd have to finance $50k for minimum of 7 months to get what deal Chuck "resigned" over. Sad thing is I bought his story, we had built a connection and I trusted the guy, my mistake. When I asked about Chuck's "resignation" with a chuckle "no, he's right here this afternoon." Their loss, I'm in no hurry to pull the trigger, but I for sure won't be on their lot. read more

We purchased a NEW small travel trailer from this dealer a Few weeks ago. We were told it would be cleaned, charged up, and ready to go since we were planning to leave the next day. When we went to pick it up,(by appointment) our salesman was not there. They assured us that it would be clean and ready. The service man went over the connections, etc and hooked it up. We came home expecting to pack to leave. It had not been cleaned ANYWHERE, there was pipe goo all over the pipes under the sink, and wood stain all over the stainless steel sink. and when we lifted the cushions there were chunks of wood gone And scratches. We sent them photos and finally after calling them several times, they did not offer to make it right in any way. We left it at our mountain property and they so kindly offered to clean it if we would drive the 500 miles to pick it up and bring it back. NEVER shop there. read more

My husband and I were impressed with the selection here. Our salesman was Jeff and he was awesome! The general manager, Bryan, was very nice also. He came to tell us about a new acquisition of the model we were looking at that had a lot of upgrades. I really liked this RV. Everything was going well until the sales manager, Jeremy, came and started pushing financing. My husband said, "Are you saying you would turn down a cash offer? And he said yes he would. He started offering another 5k off of the 114k.and I told him that 5k was not motivation for us to give in and he said Okay then I can take the price to 120k,which is when I stopped speaking to him and asked Jeff for a card. Damage had been done unfortunately. Bryan and Jeff were great. Jeremy is the reason for the loss of a star and the sale. Added: I talked to Bryan later and he told me he had okayed the cash deal, but Jeremy never told us that. read more

We worked with Kevin in sales and thought he gave knowledgeable, honest information about the various models, both positive and negative. It really helped us figure out which brand and model would best suit our needs. We learned a lot from him. The owner, Scott, was also easy to work with and made the financing process easy. We saw the particular unit we wanted in person, handled all of the negotiations and financing by phone and email, then came back to sign paperwork and transfer everything from our old RV to the new one. I would avoid this place if I was looking for a new camper. The Sales department (two guys sitting on a bench) size you up as you enter and if they think you have no money, or they don't like the way you look, or they are having a bad day, they won't lift a finger and will outright refuse to show you certain campers. I was told that certain campers could only be shown by appointment. The salesman who helped me was the worst salesman I had ever experienced in my life. He did not introduce himself and appeared totally annoyed that I would ask to see a camper. He answered no questions about the vehicle; he literally opened the door and said take a look and this is all we got for you. My experience was awful and I can't imagine what it would be like to deal with them. read more

While we were trying to decide about purchasing an RV, Brian took the time to answer our questions about RV's and accompanied us on our test drive. We bought at RV One, Myrtle Beach, because we trusted Brian Sojourner! We purchased a 2021 Entegra Esteem 29V (Class C RV) on 18 Nov 2020. We received a 3 hour demo/walk thru by Brian from the service dept. The demo was excellent and Brian displayed an excellent knowledge of our RV. We had a couple of minor issues that had to be corrected before we took delivery. Brian Sojourner, delivered and set up our new RV at nearby Myrtle Beach State park. I'd give no stars if I could because they are a bunch of jerks. I caution anyone that is looking for a first time buy or is looking to upgrade like I was, not to even consider this place. I currently have a Class A and am looking to upgrade. They have a Tiffon Phantom on there site I kept seeing from the road over the weekend. Today I decided that I was going to talk with possibly about trading. So I go over from the campground I was staying at to look at the Class A and talk to them about the unit. NO ONE even came out to see if they could help me or to see what I wanted. So I went in to the building and the young man behind the counter said and I quote "Do you need something". I said yes I would like to look at that Tiffon you have on the lot. The young man looks over to an older man sitting on bench (where I can barely se him). This older man asked (not even being courteous enough to stand up) said do you have an appointment. I said no, he said well can't help you then. So, I get a case of the a** and say well if you don't give a damn about selling the unit then just keep it. I walked out. read more

This is a long story, but hopefully a point will be made. In March 2015, my family came down to Myrtle for the car show. We had been interested in buying a new camper, and decided to come by Camper Country to look and get some ideas as to what we might be interested in. The salesman who helped us was Tim. At this point, he as extremely nice, very helpful and knowledgable and answered any and all questions with enthusiasm and without any "smugness" about him. (My father was involved in this initial trip). When leaving the dealership, my dad decided that we weren't going to be purchasing today, but would be back in June for family vacation & would be seriously interested then. Tim called my father in June to follow up and see if we were still interested in purchasing a camper. He said they had some new ones in stock that fit the criteria we were initially looking for and would be happy to show them at any time. At this point, my father had already returned home to North Carolina, but my mother and I were still in town, so we went by to take a look. At that point something changed with our salesman, he got a little cocky & was not too pleased to see 2 women show up to purchase a camper. Flash forward to August, mom & I are up here with 2 other women for a girls week, and had time to have Tim from Camper Country come look at our camper to see what the trade in value would be. We stopped by the dealership on Monday and was promised an appraisal by Tuesday. Tuesday rolls around and no one shows up. We get a call Tuesday evening apologizing for the no show and promising a visit before 10am the next morning. Tim finally showed up around 11am that morning. He was at our site for roughly 10 minutes, took some pictures and left. During this time, he managed to not only insult our intelligence, but tell us that we wouldn't be able to understand how the trade in value works on 2 different campers. We were interested in 2 campers, one a 2015 and one a 2016. Let me clarify, we own a car lot and are well aware of how inventory and turn around works when you have high value products on your lot. I would like to believe that we are smarter than most when it comes to these kinds of things. Well, we get the offer of what he would give us for the camper, and it was ridiculously low. Originally, they had sent emails to my father saying we could get almost 10,000 more than what this guy tells us this week. Long story short, as a woman, I felt very looked down on, and they will not get any return business from us, or anyone who we know. read more

My wife and I traded for an Everlite camper here in November of 2012. We found parts not working and a water leak on it once we got it home. Since we live 3 hours away, I made the repairs myself. So much for a complete inspection before delivery. Just recently I found that the seals on the slide out were bad so I contacted Evergreen about what was wrong. I was told to take it back and it would be covered under warranty. I called a month ahead to make an appointment to have the service department repair the seals. We were going to be camping in the area and this would be a time and money saver for us. After 2 phone calls I was told they couldn't do the repairs then because they were "too busy". They said that I could leave it, but that would mean that I would have to make an extra trip back to pick it up. I told them to forget about it. So much for customer service. read more
