The reason that an accurate load calculation is important is twofold: (1) today's equipment is much more efficient than two decades ago, and (2) one should never assume that their current heat pump was properly sized when it was installed way back when. Well, Josh determined that my 4-ton heat pump was way too big (and always had been). He recommended I downsize to a 2.5. Wow! He said contact the Fire Department and Columbia Gas Right Away and get them both out here. I would also contact an Attorney. I am so sorry that this Negligence happened to you all.
