I like that you don't choose deep tissue, sweedish, hot stone, etc, but that the massage is customized to your individual needs. I had a combination of all of the above used in my massage. Apparently I had knots in my neck, back near shoulders, lower arms and a tight butt (i'll take that as a compliment! LOL). She took the time to work out each and every knot telling me that if anything was too much to let her know. It was very intense to work them out but not too much but all worth it as man do I feel 100% relaxed today. I don't think there was any part she missed. For me the neck massage was worth the amount, i didn't realize i was so tense up there. She covered arms, neck, legs, back, butt, feet, hands, scalp.... it was amazeballs. When I was checking out, I had mentioned that I travel a lot for work and she told me they often have same day appts available if I ever just have a couple of free hours. So check this place out! They take walk-ins, which I love as I have a crazy schedule with my kids and work and never know when I'll have time. And they're open until 10pm which is also amazing. I love getting a massage here. I've had massages at many different places: red door (before they closed at which I've had best and worst), a chiropractor masseur, massage envy (only dug into my shoulder blades lots of pain there). I booked and paid for a sports massage knowing that every massage therapist has their own techniques and style. I want to be very clear that I have absolutely nothing negative to say about my therapist as a person. She was great - really cool, easy to talk to, and our conversation made the experience incredibly comfortable. The atmosphere itself was also outstanding. The space was welcoming, relaxing, and somewhere I initially planned on returning to, which is why I had already scheduled another appointment. That being said, these services aren't cheap, and I booked this massage for a very specific reason. I'm at the end of a long training block and preparing to run a 100-mile race. My goal was to loosen everything up, get some deeper tissue work done, and give my body the best chance possible to feel refreshed heading into the start line. Unfortunately, the massage felt much more like a relaxation massage than the deeper sports/deep-tissue work I was expecting. Afterward, I didn't notice any difference in the specific areas I had hoped to have targeted. I completely understand that techniques vary between therapists, and sometimes a service simply isn't the right fit. That alone would not have prompted me to leave a negative review. What has been most disappointing is what happened afterward. I reached out to Resolve Body Works multiple times to explain my experience and give them an opportunity to address it. I sent a text, an email, and a message through Instagram, and I also attempted to call the business. It has now been about a week, and I have received no response at all. I wasn't looking to attack anyone or blame my therapist. I simply wanted to communicate that I had paid a significant amount for a specific service and walked away feeling like I hadn't received the type of treatment I booked. I would have appreciated even a simple acknowledgment or conversation about it. Because I never heard back, I ultimately canceled my next appointment. That's genuinely a shame because the atmosphere was fantastic, I really liked my therapist, and I would have been open to returning and trying something different had someone simply communicated with me. Ultimately, the massage itself may have just been a mismatch between what I needed and the technique provided. I can understand that. What I have a much harder time understanding is reaching out through four different methods and receiving no response whatsoever. For the amount these services cost, communication and customer care should be part of the experience. Unfortunately, I walked away feeling like I spent a pretty penny on something that didn't meet my needs and then was completely ignored when I tried to address it.
