He has great communication skills, always keeping up with us via email or text. He had two other men he worked with and they were fast and polite. As a woman, I've felt uncomfortable being alone with or I've been condescended to by other contractors. I never felt this way with Elias and his team. That's worth a lot to me. We hired Quality Construction to install drywall and insulation in our basement. It was done fast and they did a good job. He was accommodating when we had to have them break for an electrician to come in. It was done in about three days. One of the guys accidentally broke a lamp and Elias offered to reimburse us for it. He's a stand-up guy and he does a great job.

It was a renovation of the kitchen, living area and bathroom, HVAC and On-demand Hot Water. Plus some outside work - pouring a concrete pad for gazebo and RV Port. While I personally like everyone that we worked with, we did have some problems during construction. Demolition workers almost removed the support beam to the house before my husband asked them to stop and check with contractor. Each time we brought a concern to the foreman, the answer was always the same, "What do you want me to do?" The answer was always the same, "I want you to fix it." This included: Kitchen cabinets that were installed 2 inches from the ceiling. Kitchen island was off center and was only fixed when my husband measured and showed them the discrepancy. The concrete pour for the gazebo was not framed correctly and needed a second pour of concrete. One corner is still not square. The joint between the pours is now cracking and the owner has stopped communicating. Concrete overflow was scattered in the far backyard and was never cleaned up. The gazebo walls were installed backwards. One door they installed has a huge gap and let in lots of cold winter air. They were unwilling to run an electric line to the kitchen island because they would have to drill into the concrete slab. No drop cloth was put down when they were drilling new holes in the ceiling for the HVAC vents. After about 10 months, the grout in the bathroom and kitchen was cracking. Glue from the tile dried on the outside of the tile and looked unsightly. The contractor gave us a one-year warranty, and some things were fixed, but they have stopped communicating.

He squeezed us in so we could meet or deadline to get our house on the market. His prices were very reasonable and I loved that he gave clear instructions on how to prep. He took extra attention to ensure our grass and plants would not be damaged and even gave the house a good rinse. We asked Mark about adding on our shed roofs and he explained why that would be a really bad idea, the correct way we could DIY and the best cleaner to get. He could have easily charged us to do a job that would have left us in a worse spot and instead chose to do the right thing! Not to mention he was on time and finished according to schedule!! I could not ask for a better experience. The difference is night and day! Finally, addressing the old review here. First, I am a female homeowner and don't take any 's' from anyone, especially someone I hire. Andrew helped us with our master bathroom remodel in 2013 and I could not be happier with the results. He and his team were always at our house bright and early, and worked all day. They took extra care to make sure all dust and renovation materials were confined to the bathroom area, laying mats down on the carpets each day upon their arrival, and installing a plastic zip door to the bathroom entry. We never say a speck of dust in any other area of the house. Andrew prides himself on assuring proper sealant on tiled showers, and spent several days laying layer upon layer of sealant before adding the tile to our new shower. We haven't had a single problem since, and I am confident that we never will. He also took extra care to ensure a small, practically unnoticeable incline on the shower flooring to assure all the water drained consistently well. This has help up maintain the quality of the tile we chose, and not caused us any issues with our grout. We did have a small issue with our frameless glass door shifting due to the change in season several months after the renovation was completed, but Andrew organized to have it corrected the same week we called him, and at no charge to us. Andrew always took extra time to meet with us to select tile, granite, etc., offer suggestions and opinions, and kept the project on track. Brian was very easy to communicate with and took care of ordering all of the supplies. They came by the following week and completed the install as scheduled. They were very tidy using drop cloths on the carpet and cleaned up after themselves; unlike a lot of handymen/ contractors. Our staircase not only looks better, but is as solid as a rock and not all wobbly like it was before. Well fast forward almost a year later and now there is a baby in the house that is ready to move. In my childproofing quest, I told my husband that now is the time to get the stair handrail fixed. He found The Finishing Company. We advised Brian why rods we would like and that our stairwell was loose. Brian said no problem. We got our stair handrail fixed and new rods added in less than five hours. It is such an improvement. Brian is meticulous. He made sure to vacuum up dust every little step along the way.
